Chapter 378 Traditional Business
Chen Yu took out the Token of the Knights of the Round Table from his person and placed it on the table.
"Fox invited me to join the Knights of the Round Table and even told me many secrets within the organization."
"That's not surprising!" Tong Ming was not the least bit startled, "Someone like you is eagerly sought after by many organizations."
Chen Yu sighed softly, having showcased his medical skills in many places.
That, in itself, was the foundation for researching the elixir of life.
"So, do you think I should leave the Knights of the Round Table?"
"No need!" Tong Ming handed back the token, "Stay there, but keep an eye on their internal movements at all times. Those guys are going against nature with their actions, and one day they'll cause trouble for this world."
Chen Yu suddenly understood what Tong Ming meant.
He had known about the existence of the Knights of the Round Table, which certainly meant he had known all along that the Childe Family was a member.
His initial agreement to collaborate with the Childe Family was to probe the internal movements of the Knights of the Round Table as quickly as possible.
"Are you suggesting that we should take them out when we get the chance?"n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Tong Ming laughed heartily, "There's no need to rush, and besides, the financial power of the Knights of the Round Table could cover the whole world. With the power we currently wield, it's not realistic to take them down."
Chen Yu didn't say anything more, just kept these words in mind.
Tong Ming took a document out of his desk and handed it to Chen Yu.
"This is a report from Suzhou City. I've already sent someone to handle it, but the results weren't satisfactory. You'll have to go yourself."
Upon seeing the contents of the document, Chen Yu's eyes widened in shock. He hadn't expected such chaos in Suzhou City during his absence.
Without lingering, he immediately boarded a private plane for Suzhou City.
Chen Yu had, to some extent, monopolized Suzhou City. His production of medicinal herb packs and pre-made meals had delivered a devastating blow to many traditional industries.
Many local chambers of commerce banded together, seeking to fight against Chen Yu and force him to shut down two industrial parks.
Hou Jianchang, as the person in charge of the industrial parks, natually had to confront these people, but he hadn't expected them to play dirty tricks.
In an unexpected accident, Hou Jianchang suffered a comminuted fracture in one of his legs and was still in the hospital.
Chen Yu went straight to the hospital as soon as he landed.
In the intensive care unit, Hou Jianchang lay half-reclined, stuffing grapes into his mouth, looking rather optimistic.
"Old Hou!"
Chen Yu called out urgently and rushed in.
Hou Jianchang became excited, "Old Chen, you're back?"
Chen Yu frowned, "With such a big incident, how could I not come back?"
Hou Jianchang sighed helplessly.
"It's all trivial matters; I didn't expect it to blow up so much that even you were alerted."
Chen Yu didn't say anything further and grabbed Hou Jianchang's leg, gently kneading it.
A comminuted fracture could likely lead to lifelong disability. The hospital had set his bone and provided a detailed treatment plan, but that was only a temporary solution, not a cure.
Chen Yu restored the shattered bones one by one, then gave them a sharp twist.
The plaster wrapped around the outside instantly broke apart, and Hou Jianchang's leg was completely healed.
Afterward, Chen Yu wrote out a prescription.
"Take this medicine for three days and you'll be fine,"
Hou Jianchang didn't even look at it before handing the prescription to his private nurse, instructing him to get the medicine.
"These doctors always make a big fuss, claiming that my leg would never heal in this lifetime. Still, Old Chen's skills are top-notch; he fixed me up in no time."
Chen Yu took a moment to regulate his breathing before placing the documents he had collected in front of Hou Jianchang.
"Where did these people come from? I remember that we dealt with the Suzhou City Food Association a while back, didn't we?"
Hou Jianchang shifted in his seat.
"These are new groups that organized later, reportedly all are physical business merchants."
Chen Yu's brows furrowed deeply, he detested these people the most. They were clearly in a sunset industry that would be delisted before long, yet they insisted on confronting emerging industries.
The outcome could only lead to their demise.
Originally, Chen Yu wanted to give these fellows a chance, allowing them enough space to develop.
Now it seemed that he had to prematurely erase them from this world.
Near the food industry park, a large group of ragged individuals crowded daily, holding banners and shouting a mess of slogans.
When Chen Yu arrived, he was met with the ridiculous scene of people brandishing banners demanding "Give back our hard-earned money."
Back when the industrial park was built, all the issues had been resolved. Even the workers left behind from the old factories had been taken in by Chen Yu, who had provided them with comprehensive social insurance and housing fund.
Moreover, so much time had already passed. Suddenly a group appeared with banners demanding money, wasn't this nonsense?
Chen Yu sighed helplessly and then moved forward, squeezing into the crowd.
"Then may I ask what kind of money you are demanding here?"
A burly man close by looked at Chen Yu with surprise on his face.
"Where did you come from? How did you end up in our line? Hurry up and leave; we're paid by the head here."
Chen Yu instantly understood; these guys were intentionally brought here by someone.
However, their intelligence was quite low, as they openly spilled the beans right away.
Chen Yu found it rather amusing and instantly scanned the man's brain information.
Li Xuezhong, a well-known big shot from Suzhou City, had a total of thirteen companies under his belt.
Most of them were traditional food industries.
Chen Yu no longer cared about these people and simply called security to drive them away.
In a car not too far away, Li Xuezhong, puffing on a cigar, watched the scene from a distance.
"This guy's got the heart of a bear and the guts of a leopard, daring to drive people away. Call the media reporters over quickly,"
No sooner had he spoken than Chen Yu suddenly appeared, opened the car door, and sat down inside.
"Mr. Li, don't you think this is a bit underhanded? Your company can't keep going, so you come to cause trouble for others. Do you think you can swallow my enterprise using this method?"
Li Xuezhong's eyes widened, earlier he had seen Chen Yu a hundred meters away, but how did he reach here in an instant?
And his car door was secured with three locks; how did Chen Yu open it?
"Mr. Chen, long time no see. I heard you went off to the capital to develop your business. What brings you the leisure to return to Suzhou City?"
Li Xuezhong blatantly ignored the business matters, trying to brush it off.
Chen Yu didn't bother with pleasantries; he grabbed Li Xuezhong's clothes and dragged him out of the car forcefully.
