Ascension of the Monster Queen

Nessa exhaled deeply as the others stared, then all of them turned towards the king and he flinched as he looked at them, since the monster that appeared was a high-level one and it being near to the city could get many killed and it seemed to be angered.

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" The king asked as he stared at them and their brows furrowed.

"Father, you said this is a test, I understand that the bests we just fought are the ones that belong to our men, they are trained, but this...." Reign responded and the king's brows furrowed.

"Then..." Nios mumbled and everyone looked at the beast.

"That was not called here by the king, let me ask you, is there any kind of beast like that around here and even if there are, do they come this close to the city?" The demon asked and they looked at him.

"No, ones like that are not anywhere near here, we have never seen a beast like that before," Mikala responded and Nessa's eyes narrowed.

"Then, we are under attack!" Nios exclaimed and the beast roared loudly as a few smaller ones entered the city and some of the people that were nearby, began running and screaming.

"Oh no, they are causing a panic," Mikala mumbled and the king gritted his teeth and his eyes narrowed as he looked at the largest beast amongst them, the boss.

"How is this happening? Why is a beast that's not supposed to be here, even here?" He asked and Nessa glanced at him and then sighed.

"Protect the people," Reign shouted and the men that were used to be a part of the king's plan, began fighting to protect the citizens.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"We have to make sure they don't go any deeper into the city," Nios said.

"Drive them out, we may cause serious harm if we fight here," Reign replied.

"Yeah, you are right, that one, the leader is big and for some reason..." Nion said.

"That beast seems odd," Both Nios and Mikala added at once as they looked at each other.

Just then, as they were fighting off the beasts that were entering the city, though they were not a large amount since they were strong.

A child was in one of the smaller beast's ways and began crying loudly.

Mikala, who was helping as well, saw and rushed to the child, then grabbed onto the little girl, pulling her out of the way, then slashed the beast across its body, while releasing a small attack, sending it crashing across the ground and her father left staring at her then she sighed.

"Mikala..." The king mumbled and she looked at him then he smiled at her and she smiled back at him before placing the child on the ground.

"I am going to get stronger, I am going to help defend my home," She mumbled as she attacked one of the beasts, which was aiming for Nios from behind and he looked back at them then grinned and she smiled at him.

"Are you sure about this, Mikala?" Nios asked.

"Yeah, I am not just going to stand back and watch, I am a child of the king's as well," She responded and he smirked.

"So, you are getting things more, that's nice, watch my back," He said and she smiled, since she was happy.

The girl thanked Nessa in her mind for helping her with the basics, which was coming to her use, even when fighting with a sword, though her attacks were not as strong as yet.

'Looks like she is progressing really well, though, I have to teach her a few more things, for now though, there are other things at hand,' She thought as she glanced at the beast.

"This beast..." She mumbled and the demon scoffed.

"From the presence, even though it was but faint and from what that princess had just said, it doesn't belong here, which means, you know what I am saying, don't you?" The demon asked and her eyes narrowed.

"This is their doing, which means that, everything is right and they are making their move towards here," She responded and the demon scoffed.

"Yeah, they are and this is what they would call just a petty thing, this is just a small start, the real part is not here as yet, from the way I remember, that's not the way they work, which means they have someone here," The demon said and Nessa clenched her right fist, knowing that he was right about every bit of it.

"I know that this is just a part of their plan and you are right, we will figure out the rest and even who more might be helping them later, but for now, we have to help here," She replied and the demon glanced at her and his eyes narrowed.

"Fine, I will keep an eye out, this thing didn't come here on its own after all, my lady," He said and she glanced at him then sighed.

"Watch what you call me and fine, go ahead, just... Ugh, never mind," She replied and he chuckled then she rushed off and he kept a lookout, just as he said he would, since he knew that whoever had called the beast there, was not far from them.

'He is smart and seems to have a lot of experience, that's for sure, I will it to him for now,' She thought as one of the beasts was coming towards her and she glanced at it then her eyes narrowed.

"Don't even think about it," She mumbled as her eyes shimmered and she used the same ability that Mikala knew about and had seen her use, sending the creature flying and Mikala saw, then smiled as did the king, believing that her ability was similar to his daughter's.

But little did they know, Nessa was more powerful than that, but didn't want them to know what she was capable of as yet and played it low as though, that was the only type she could use.
