Awakening: Reincarnating With the SSS-Level Extraction Talent

Chapter 206 Heaven's Chains, Triple Element Fox Summons

Five days passed rather quickly after that, days Alex spent doing nothing but enjoying himself in the [Fox Tribe Village].

Of course, he was always on guard in case anything happened, but nothing did for now.

Maybe nothing would happen?

After all, Daniel would only attack Mike and Aurelia a few months from now after growing more powerful within the families.

Yet even then, he still had that feeling and vision.

It wasn't even Daniel that scared him, but the [Hatred Demon] himself as that's what the vision showed.

How could Daniel even be related to the [Hatred Demon], after all, right?

During these days, he placed his undead army all around the barrier, each undead being positioned to inform him if anything happened.

They were also there to kill any nearby monsters and thus increase the amount of kills for the talent upgrade.

But of course, that also meant Alex received notifications every once in a while as the skeletons killed.

Ding!

[Extraction activated: +73 Strength, +37 Vitality, +109 Spirit, +18 Agility, +2 Skill Points]

And of course, he made sure to activate his [Skill Evolution] twice to upgrade one of his skills.

Ding!

[You have evolved "Chains of Destiny" (High-Tier) to "Heaven's Chains" (Max-Tier)]

[Heaven's Chains: One hundred golden transparent chains emerge from your staff, reducing enemies' speed enough to completely stop them if they're not broken and stunning them for 30 seconds. Shackled targets take 1000% Spirit as damage. Mana Cost: 600,000. Cooldown: 3 minutes.]

Even with his halved mana cost, the cost was just barely enough for him to use it.

'Dragons have an incredible amount of mana, that should help.'

As shown before, every race grants you different abilities.

They are scattered from F-Rank all the way to SSS-Rank.

[Bloodline: Human (F), Beast (Fox - B)]

Humans were F, whiles Foxes were B.

But even while only being a B-Rank race, the foxes still granted Alex a massive boost in agility, increased bond with other beast races, as well as his strongest skill yet: [Fire Fox Summons].

Also, the stronger the race, the more rewards you would get from acquiring it.

You can imagine what it would be like to acquire the SS-Ranked Angel race or even the SSS-Ranked Dragon race.

And speaking of [Fire Fox Summons], he made sure to immediately evolved it once [Heaven's Chains] was maxed.

He didn't forget about [Electric Storm] (Basic), but it was just that upgrading a skill as powerful as [Fire Fox Summons] was simply smarter.

And to fasten the process, he even used 20 skill points to upgrade the mythical skill.

He reserved the skill points for things that would happen in the future, but he would rather upgrade his skill to [Intermediate] using skill points, then use his [Skill Evolution] to evolve it to [Advanced].

It was a smarter idea than waiting another 3 days, especially with the possibility of things happening soon.

So he used 10 skill points to upgrade it to level 10.

[Do you want to consume 10 skill points to evolve "Fire Fox Evolution" (Basic)?]

Ding!

[You have evolved "Fire Fox Summons" (Basic) to "Double Element Fox Summons" (Intermediate)]

And right after he used his [Skill Evolution].

Ding!

[You have evolved "Double Element Fox Summons" (Intermediate) to "Triple Element Fox Summons" (Advanced)]

[Triple Element Fox Summons lv1: Unlocks the ability to summon six ethereal fox summons for combat and utility, they are separated into three categories: fire, water and electric (2 foxes for each type); they have 50,000,000 health, no mana cost, cooldown of 1 day between use.]

It seems like upgrading this skill not only makes the foxes stronger and more durable, but also unlocks a new type each time.

"No wonder this is a mythical skill," Alex grinned, "With these, even level 700 monsters would be beatable by me alone."

After that, he tried to use [Potential Extraction] on the [Shadow Control Daggers] and some of his other items like the [Golden Scroll] or even the [Ember Dragon Wings] in hopes of repairing them, but without success.

And eventually, the day of the [Golden Star Festival] arrived.

...

It was announced out of nowhere the morning of that day.

Ding!

[Global Announcement: A festival will be held in Star City in 12 hours, come join them as there will be some opportunities!]

[Global Announcement: A festival will be held in Star City in 12 hours...]

[Global Announcement:...]

This was all that was said, and instinctively, players immediately understood that this was another world event.

But on the other hand, while excitement was at an all-time peak, someone else was ready to act.

Inside of their [Guild Building] inside [Star City], Daniel was sitting on his desk, a wide smile on his face.

He looked up to check his panel.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

[Hatred Quest #3]

[Severe all ties to those you consider close to yourself, let your hatred take over.]

[Objective: Kill Aurelia Thunder and Mike Thunder in the real world.]

[Time left: 14 hours.]

[Penalty for failure: destruction of the soul.]

He was close to their home in the real world, and upon inspection of the [Hatred Compass], Daniel saw that both Alex and Aurelia were still inside the [Fox Tribe Village].

He wasn't stupid enough to go at the last second though, since that would mean putting himself at risk.

He would simply kill Aurelia in the game, then go back to the real world and kill his father.

Then after that he would participate in the [Golden Star Festival] with his guild; since there are apparently some good rewards to grab.

Vex, the guild's second-in-command, approached cautiously.

His brow furrowed with concern as he spoke.

"Daniel, you're seriously planning to take them on alone? That's reckless, even for you."

Only Daniel and Vex were in his office, as he was the only person he trusted to tell what was happening to him.

Everyone else could reveal the secret.

Daniel didn't respond immediately.

Instead, he smirked, his fingers idly tracing the edge of his [Hatred Claws], the artifact skill that had fueled his meteoric rise in power and hatred.

Finally, he turned to face him, his voice low but laced with venom.

"I don't need anyone's help to deal with them. I'll kill them by myself."

His words sent a chill through Vex's spine, silencing any protest.

"Daniel, think about this," Vex tried again, his tone more urgent. "You're powerful, sure, but that's FateBreaker we're talking about. And you think you can beat your father in the real world?"

Daniel's glare cut him off mid-sentence.

"You think I'm afraid of them?" he sneered. "Alex is a pest, and Aurelia is nothing without her little tricks. As for Mike…" He paused, his grin widening. "He's just a man clinging to outdated skills. They'll all fall before me, one by one."

"But-"

"No buts," Daniel snapped, "I've made my choice, and I don't need dead weight slowing me down. Stay here, or don't. I don't care."

Without waiting for a reply, Daniel grabbed a [Star City Teleportation Crystal] and shattered it.

"I'll be back before the festival," he called over his shoulder, his grin never fading as his body began to disappear, "Don't wait up."

Vex clenched his fists, frustration etched across his face, but he knew there was no stopping Daniel once his mind was set.

The room fell silent as the teleportation crystal glowed, and in a flash of light, Daniel was gone.

He re-appeared at the entrance of Star City, his compass in hand.

"It shouldn't take more than a few hours," he muttered to himself as he left the city, following the arrow on the small object.

[Go on, child, become strong enough to make everyone fear you.]
