Chapter 938 Chapter 938 School's Over
"You should not have done that." Yasmin whispered. She was obviously worried about our very own protagonist.
The young man was in prison and she could not believe how a funny game of friends could easily turn violent in a blink of an eye.
"I don't regret what I did. And besides, I already called my parents. They'll come here and fix this for me." Our bored gamer replied.
He held the cold bars in the cell he was in and it was comforting since it had been a long long time when he had last experienced this kind of scene.
It was a rare thing and he cherished it like he did all the trivial things that came along with life.
"…" To that statement, Yasmin had no response. Still, it had made her worry about our avid gamer less which was good in a sense.
"Go home, Yasmin. I'll see you on Monday." Clark nodded and ended the conversation. He slumped back with the rest of the criminal detainees and sat perfectly amongst predators.
This was a place where he knew quite well. It was home. Although a different one but home all the same.

The two did meet on Monday and their story continued to unfold. Our bored gamer would hang out with Yasmin and her friends until the last year of college.
There were many boys that wanted to come closer with Yasmin but all of them were easily dispatched by our very own protagonist.
It was obvious that he was already setting boundaries around the lovely Yasmin. It had come to a point where no man could get with a few meters of Yasmin in fear of getting their asses kicked to the trash.
This was a cause of conflict between Yasmin and our avid gamer. And both argued not a few times indeed.
"Why are you doing all these?" Yasmin asked in exasperation.
"Doing what? I'm not doing anything as far as I'm concerned." Clark replied.
"Every boy in the campus is afraid to come near me. They're afraid that you'll break their faces like all the many others you have broken before them." Yasmin confronted.
She was not dumb and news in school travelled like they had wings. Thus, it was easy for her to know these things.
"Those boys only want to fuck you, Yasmin. They don't really love you in the first place." Clark retorted.
"And you do? I bet you're not that different with them. You also want my body, Brodie. Admit it!" Yasmin challenged. And how could our good gamer back down from a challenge.
"Of course. I'm not a hypocrite like them. Love will come between us eventually. But before that, a physical connection is a must. I am brave enough to admit that much." Our bored gamer said.
"…" This made Yasmin silent and took a deep deep breath. She had known stubborn men who got big egos but this was the first time she met someone who made a great mess of her life.
Reasoning with him made her go a little bit crazy every time. Thus, she would ignore our avid gamer from today onward. There was no use in talking to him at all.
And that was exactly what she did but with extreme difficulty. Our good gamer would of course not make it easy for the lovely Yasmin.

Yasmin graduated, found a job, worked, and suddenly the years went rather fast. She was already 25 years old in a flash.
She was great in everything but there was one major aspect in her life that was missing. She has yet to fall in love. This bothered her more than she was willing to admit.
"I wish Brodie would just simply let me be." Yasmin muttered one night. And the next day after, she received farewell letter in the form of a fancy letter. A few texts in the letter read:
"Hi, Yasmin. It's been more than 5 years since we've known each other. During that time I have pursued you relentlessly and yet I failed to win you in the end. What can I say?
Maybe it's just not meant to be. For me and you to be together, it's a fantasy. I hope that…" The letter continued with a lengthy apology and then it was done.
"Ahhhh…" Relief was Yasmin's first reaction. She even jumped in happiness for a time. The day began splendidly and ended well for her. The days that came next were more of the time.
She went into dates and hope for love to come her but alas, she felt that there was something wrong in everything.
"Yasmin? Is something bothering you?" A handsome guy asked. He could see her date looking beyond his form and into his sides time and time again.
"Nothing." Yasmin woke up from stupor. She was distracted since she wanted to see if our bored gamer was out there looking at her at this moment. She tried to deny it but she missed him terribly.
He would be the first one to text her first in the morning and the last one to say good night to her every evening.
More than that, the surprise visits that she abhorred in the past has now become fond memories for her looking back. She was just too blind to notice it before.
They had been together every single day in the last five years. Our bored gamer can be creative if he put his mind to it.
"I'm sorry. I need to go." Yasmin excused herself and immediately went out of the restaurant. She got to her car and could not help but cry in confusion.
"You wanted this and now you're regretting your decision."
"What's happening to you, Yasmin! Wake up! He's not here for you anymore!" Yasmin talked to herself and berated herself for feeling so.
She remembered a cliché saying of being careful with one's wishes and it had given a bitter smile on her face. She had already pushed away our bored gamer away from her life.
Not only once but many many times that she could no longer count. Her hands moved unconsciously and before long, her fingers got busy writing something.
She did not hesitate in sending the message. It was simple and contained only one word.
"Hi."
"DING!" And a half breath later, a fast reply came thereafter. The sad smile was gone and it was replaced by something more beautiful.
