Chapter 71 - 71 - The Test Of A True Friend
Peng Peng stood by the kitchen sink, gazing out at the guys happily chatting with each other. The one who saved them named Qian seemed to know this other guy.
"Aunty, who is that man?" he moved closer to her.
"Which one? Zou Nui peeked up at him.
Peng Peng narrowed his eyes and looked at him.
That guy seemed to sense his gaze. His eyes were hidden by the glasses, but somehow he could feel the glare from within. 'This man is going to be a difficult man to chase away,'
"The one with ridiculous black shades. He looks shady,"
"Oh that is little Fan.. He moved right next to us just a few months ago. He is no shady man, he is such a sweetheart actually," Yue's mother cheerfully whispered to him.
"You do know that man is going after your son, right? Zou Yue is straight. I'm not sure how he would take this news."
"I know that and Who said that," she looked up at him in surprise.
Peng Peng frowned. "I mean, I have never seen Yue show interest in men,"
She chuckled loudly. "Darling, my son has posters of half naked anime man all over his room; you still think he is not gay?"
"Wow, that is so stereotypical of you. Watching anime does not make one gay. Well, I am a different case of course, regardless Yue's not gay. He is an AOT fan." Peng Peng washed the glass he used. Yue's mother stayed close with a small smile. "I see your smile. You know something else, don't you?"
"Yes~ he admitted that he might be into men. Yue's changed.... it's a good change, actually. He used to be just like his father, loud-mouthed and prideful, but now he is so soft-spoken and sweet as sugar," she giggled with a soft look in her eyes.
"Goodness, that is impossible to imagine. But Yue did seem different. Today he could not handle alcohol. Usually, he would drink pints of it and remain straight as a pole. But today he just flat out after just one." he placed the washed mug on the cooling rack.
By then, his eyes roamed over to those two men. They seem still invested in their talk, glancing at the phone now and then.
"What do you think about that, man? The bulky one?" Peng Peng winked and waved at Qian.
"Wen's child? He is sweet. I heard he is a researcher... I don't know much else rather than that,"
"Researcher huh..." Peng Peng smirked widely. "That sounds nice. I wish him would research me too. Much preferred without clothes,"
Zou Yue slightly slapped his forearm. "You young children are so spirited."
"ho hoo hoo, misses Zou don't act like you aren't getting any," he cheerfully nudged her. This lady, although in her thirties, was the sweetest person in the world. They initially got to know when Zou Yue became a model and when he became an official makeup artist for him.
In fact, he was sent over by a powerful person to protect Yue from 'predators'. That is the only reason he kept in contact with Yue's mother.
They initially contacted each other as parent and a spy but later on the relationship developed to be a close confidante.
She was his emotional support and a guide..... a mother he never had.
A slight slap on his forearm brought him out of his thoughts.
"Oh, you silly silly boy." She playfully hit him with a bright flush on her face. "How's your boyfriend?,"
"Consider him dead." He rolled his eyes exaggeratedly.
"That bad?"
"Yes... but now.... I seem to have found a new one. He is such a looker too," Peng Peng proudly glanced at Zou Nui.
"When did you both get to know each other?" she playfully raised a brow.
"Now.. thank your son for that." he noticed the two in the hall standing up. The man named Qian was facing away from him. "Wow look at that ass that would feel great grabbing onto."
"Darling, this old lady can't handle more information than this," Yue's mum patted his shoulders.
"Aww aren't you my confidante?"
"You are like a son to me, silly." She pulled him into a hug and kissed his cheeks softly. "I feel a little aggravated when both my sons get stolen by tall handsome men."
"He-he what's that Fan guy's deal. Why does he wear shades," he peered at Fan Xui with distaste.
"Shh, he is visual disabled,"
"Blind?" Peng Peng looked at her in surprise. "Are you sure?"
Because a moment ago, when he was changing Yue, this guy was definitely glaring at him. His hands were tightly clenched each time he touched Yue's skin.
"I'm sure alright," she nodded confidently.
"You know, for a psychologist, you are not that sharp," Peng Peng shook his head. 'This guy is faking it... or maybe he is really good at masking his blindness. Who knows? Should I test him? would it be rude to?'
"He did not fall for our Yue for his looks. Hmm... might have fallen for his smell though. I did prescribe Yue some great skin care products." Yue's mother chattered on.
He watched the guy walk into Yue's room with clothes in hand.
"Aunty, I will be back. Why don't you check up on uncle?"
Zou Nui caught his arms tightly. "I know that look. What are you going to do?"
"No, I am just testing something; it's just a harmless joke." Peng Peng silently crept into Yue's room.
As a small person, his footstep was not that loud to begin with. When he tiptoed, he made no sound at all.
He watched the taller man stand out the bathroom door.
'Suspicious. How can I test him without seeming rude?' Suddenly his eyes passed over Yue, who was passed out. 'Aha! I got your weakness.'
Zou Yue was laying n the bed without any sheets. Before, he was in a hurry to change his own puke stained clothes so he kind of neglected Yue a bit.
Peng Peng glanced at the man, who was now facing his way. He mouthed. 'I don't know if you can see me.. but if you can, you are a fucking liar.'
Slowly, he got close to Yue and pulled his top up.
The man stood still, with no changes.
He pulled Yue's top down, covering his delectable six packs.
Still no reaction.
'Maybe he is blind after all.' Without a word, he left the room.
