Standing a few feet away was a towering Necoris, flanked by three other powerful Necoris.

Compared to the giant figure, the others seemed insignificant.

This was Remnots, the Necoris King.

Facing him was Jin Chang, the human king.

The two kings stared at each other for a moment before wild grins spread across their faces.

"Long time no see, old friend," Remnots said, shaking Jin Chang's hand.

The Necoris behind Remnots were stunned to realize their king and the human king were old friends.

How could this be?!

Their eyes widened, exchanging subtle glances before returning to stoic expressions.

This was a monumental secret, one they dared not reveal. If it ever got out, death would be the least of their worries.

"Old friend, I know you wouldn't reach out unless the store threatened to take over your kingdom," Remnots said.

"True. I need your help to deal with the store. Don't forget—they're also a threat to your kingdom," Jin Chang replied.

Remnots nodded. "Do you have a plan?"

For thirty minutes, the two kings conversed.

When they finally finished, they looked at each other and smiled.

"I hope this alliance takes us to new heights," Remnots said, his laughter echoing in the still night as he and his men disappeared into the forest.

Unknown to the human race, their king had just entered an alliance with their greatest enemy.

A week later, infamous bandits revealed their fangs.

The sudden emergence of the Crimson Shadow Bandits shocked everyone.

They ambushed travelers at the borders of the Soaring Cloud Region, slaughtering anyone carrying a Spirit Comms device.

In just one day, the Crimson Shadow Bandits killed nearly a thousand people, staining the roads red with blood.

The three main routes into the Soaring Cloud Region quickly became death traps.

Despite the menace of the Crimson Shadow Bandits, the people were not overly concerned.

They believed it was only a matter of time before the store sent its enforcers to deal with the bandits.

As the populace awaited action from the store, rumors began spreading across the region.

Quickly, the rumors gained traction on You Connect, reaching countless people.

A newly formed group called The Resistance began questioning the existence of the Celestial Heavenly Store.

They spread teachings claiming the store was behind the poison and all recent attacks.

Furthermore, they accused the Celestial Heavenly Store of being an evil, blood-sucking organization.

According to them, anyone using items created by the store had been marked as prey to be devoured.

They cited instances where the store had killed people without trial.

"Who gave the store the authority to execute people without the king's consent? If they aren't evil, then what are they?"

As The Resistance spread its propaganda and questioned the store's integrity,

many weak-hearted individuals began to waver, and The Resistance grew in number.

The previously peaceful and calm Soaring Cloud Region was thrown into yet another storm.
