Chapter 410 Last Preparation Before the 3rd Zombie Wave
This Silver Mine Camp would be his source of materials to acquire weapons that he'd use against the Vampires. Because of that, he really wanted to have plenty of Blacksmiths that could work together with Diana.
Anyway, as Shane stood at the gate of the Silver Mine Camp, the Legendary Recruitment Stone pulsed in his hand.
'Please, no more kids…' Shane prayed silently.
Of course, this prayer would probably have no effects, but it was better than doing nothing…
He then looked at the stone and felt that its energy was heavier than the others he had used before. He really felt excited doing this once again.
Then, after taking a deep breath, he activated the stone.
The familiar gray fog began to appear and surround the camp… It then started thickening into a dense, storm-like mass, and the air around him felt colder as if a storm was about to appear…n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"This…"
"Did something go wrong in the summoning?"
"Why does it feel like there's going to be a disaster…"
"No… It think the leader must be summoning a stronger recruit."
"R-right… But this looks dangerous."
"We haven't fixed the fence yet…"
It seemed as if a tempest was about to descend upon the camp, but just as quickly, the storm calmed, and the fog began to dissipate.
Emerging from the haze was a tall figure dressed in a dark, finely tailored suit that immediately brought to mind the image of a nobleman in the Victorian era.
'Interesting…' Shane thought as he felt excited once again.
As the man approached him, he could tell that this person moved with an air of confidence… He was dignified, as though he was in complete control of his surroundings.
His attire was also impeccable: a crisp white shirt with a high-collared waistcoat, a black frock coat lined with silver buttons, and trousers that perfectly matched his leather boots. He even wore a pair of black gloves, giving him an air of both elegance and practicality.
Shane recalled his most trustworthy butler, Mr. Wadsworth. However, the person in front of him seemed more elegant.
This person was completely different from Shinja the Stormblade, Chaloem the Monk, Seraph the Royal Knight, and Aya the Shaman…
Shane's eyes immediately went to the man's face—sharp, aristocratic features, high cheekbones, and a strong jawline. His hair, dark and slicked back, outlined his pale complexion, but it was his eyes that drew Shane in the most. They were a piercing steel-gray, filled with an intensity and intelligence that made it clear this man was no ordinary recruit.
The figure adjusted his coat, then turned to Shane with a slight bow of his head. "Good afternoon, Sir. I presume you are the Foreign Survivor responsible for my summoning? My name is Spencer Blakely."
Shane blinked, taking in the man's appearance. Unlike his previous Legendary Recruit, Shinja, who had been a warrior through and through, Spencer didn't appear to be built for combat. He seemed more like a nobleman or perhaps an intellectual.
However, Shane had learned not to judge based on appearances alone. There was something about Spencer that made him think this man was just as dangerous, in a very different way.
"I am… My name is Shane Wells." Shane replied, stepping forward. "Welcome to Silver Mine Camp. You don't look like the typical survivor I've recruited, but I have a feeling you're here for a reason."
Spencer's lips curled into a slight smile…
"Indeed. While I may not possess the brute strength of a warrior, I do bring something equally valuable to your cause—expertise in weaponry." He glanced around the camp briefly before returning his gaze to Shane.

"I have spent my life studying and mastering the art of weapon crafting, particularly those of prized alloys and other precious metals. From blades to firearms, I've dedicated my skills to perfecting weapons that can combat both man and monster alike."
'Ohh? A weapon craftsman? This is interesting… He doesn't look like one at all.' Shane mused as he felt that the man looked like a seller of such items instead of their creator.
Anyway, this was perfect for him. He didn't have to ask him about the skills that he had since he knew that the man's loyalty was already high. There was no way he would lie to him.
'It's as if my prayer worked.' Shane thought.
Just like his initial plans, he wanted to utilize the silver mine for something more than just trade. With the growing threat of not only zombies but other supernatural creatures like vampires, silver weapons were becoming a necessity.
The other Survivors might also need this weapon in case they meet these Vampires. It would be a good thing if the other Clans would be able to weaken Statham's forces as well before they fight.
"Silver weapons," Shane mused aloud. "That's what we need, especially with the rise of vampires in the region. Can you craft silver bullets and blades?"
Spencer nodded. "That's actually very basic… Not only can I craft them, but I can also optimize them for combat against supernatural foes. Silver is a versatile material, but when refined properly and combined with the right techniques, it becomes an even deadlier force.
I've studied ancient methods of forging, combining them with modern innovations to create weapons that are both durable and effective. If you wish to arm your people against vampires or other undead creatures, I will be more than capable of providing what you need. I might even give a completely new weapon."
Shane felt a surge of relief and excitement. After all, there was no way that Diana would be able to work on this alone.
If there were an expert like Spencer, it would be a lot easier for them to produce the weapons they needed.
Perhaps it would only take a month before they equipped everyone on their side, and then they could start exporting them as well.
'I just hope that Statham would stay quite during this time…' Shane thought.
Without the right weapons, they stood little chance against these more dangerous enemies.
"That's even better, Spencer…" Shane said, truly looking forward to this.
"We've got access to a silver mine here, and I've been planning to turn it into something useful. With your help, we can start producing silver weapons and ammunition. Once those Vampires appeared, they'd be surprised…"
Spencer's steel-gray eyes gleamed with understanding. "However, crafting silver weapons requires more than just raw materials. I'll need a proper forge, specialized tools, and a workforce. If you can provide those, I will handle the rest."
Shane nodded thoughtfully. "We've already started rebuilding this camp, and I can assign workers to assist you. They're not skilled, but they should be able to learn from you. We'll get you the forge and whatever else you need."
"Understood," Spencer replied smoothly. "I will begin preparations immediately. If I may, I would also suggest starting with silver bullets. They are faster to produce and will provide your people with the means to defend themselves against vampires from a distance. After that, we can move on to blades and other weapons."
As for the gunpowder, Shane suggested that they'll just use the dozens of ammunition boxes that they have.
Shane couldn't help but feel a sense of optimism. With Spencer's knowledge and skills, they had a real chance of turning Silver Mine Camp into a stronghold capable of defending itself against zombies or even vampires.
"Sounds like a plan," Shane said, offering his hand. "Welcome to the team, Spencer. Let's make sure this camp becomes a fortress."
Spencer took Shane's hand in a firm handshake. "It will be my pleasure, sir."
Shane then decided to stop his summoning as they would still have to prepare plenty of food.
On the next day, Shane woke up early, and just like his routine, he checked his Survivor Store and Reputation Store and purchased almost everything.
After that, he decided to check his Chat board. Shane saw a message from the members of his Clan and some other people in his Friend List.
He first checked the message from Lysandra. He assigned a mission to her and the five other girls before he left with his bike.
[ Lysandra: Shane… We already bought every item you need. ]
'Great…' Shane nodded as he gave a reply.
[ Shane: Good! Take everyone with you and come here to our new shelter. I will send someone to escort you back along the way. ]
Lysandra seemed to be up early and immediately gave a reply.
[ Lysandra: Thanks… I didn't really expect that you'll establish a Shelter here. ]
[ Shane: Well, this really a good spot… It will only take a few days to reach the other Neutral Shelters from here. ]
[ Lysandra: That's true… If we need resources, we can just establish a trade route with Long Lodge and Ivory Gear Shelters. ]
[ Shane: That's what I'm thinking, but that would still take some time. For now, we just need to fortify this camp. I'm thinking of confronting the next Zombie Wave here. ]
[ Lysandra: I understand. Let's do our best to make it a safe place… ]
[ Shane: Right, before you leave, can you buy sets of clothes for the new recruits? Just buy 50 or more sets. Do you still have enough gold? ]
[ Lysandra: I still have 450 gold coins and 10 gold taels with me. That should be more than enough. ]
