Chapter 2611 Ice Crystal Golem

Chapter 2611  Ice Crystal Golem

"Whoosh! Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!!"

The points where the beams of light landed were instantly covered by a layer of frost.

Ice Witches!

Fang Heng squinted his eyes, his gaze slowly shifting toward the front.

The Ice Witches were a type of special spirit-form entity. In the cold, white fog, their figures became increasingly ethereal and hard to discern.

In addition, the Ice Witches had a special ability to confuse their enemies and could also attack by releasing freezing beams of ice.

Tigranth, of course, had already prepared for this. Once again, he led the team, each member activating their Dark Clan shields, and quickly charged forward to deal with the Ice Witches one by one.

Fang Heng and Kotal followed behind the team.

Indeed, the deeper they ventured into the Frozen Valley, the more high-tier creatures they encountered. If Fang Heng had come alone, it would have been extremely difficult to make any progress.

Even with Tigranth's team, ensuring their safety while handling the monsters along the way, it still took quite some time before they gradually reached the deeper regions of the canyon.

"Everyone, over there."

Fang Heng soon noticed something and pointed toward the direction his perception of the Empress's will had guided him.

Kotal and the others immediately turned to look in the direction Fang Heng had pointed.

In the distance, there was a thick fog of white ice crystals covering the deeper part of the area.

Upon closer inspection, they could see tall, shadowy figures standing on the ground.

Kotal furrowed his brow tightly and quietly asked, "Fang Heng, are you sure this is the place we're looking for?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

Kotal's brow furrowed even deeper. After exchanging a few words with Commander Tigranth, he turned back and asked, "Is there any way we can bypass them?"

"I'm not sure, but we are very close to leaving the area where the perception is guiding us. The target should be within that shadowed region," Fang Heng replied, looking at Kotal. "What's the issue?"

"Sigh..." Kotal sighed, shaking his head. "It's not going to be easy. Those black shadows are Ice Crystal Golems, the most troublesome creatures in the Icebound Valley."

"They've absorbed the cold energy of this place over millennia, merged with necromantic power, and condensed it into will, becoming a new life form."

"In normal conditions, they appear as nothing more than regular ice crystal statues. Their movements are slow, but their strength and physique attributes are terrifying. They possess an incredibly strong resistance to most spells and are immune to most negative effects. Furthermore, they can absorb the surrounding cold energy to replenish their vitality, healing rapidly."

Kotal took a deep breath before continuing, "In this environment, killing them would be extremely difficult."

Fang Heng understood now.

These were some of the most powerful creatures in the canyon.

Their defense was also formidable.

If it wasn't absolutely necessary, the Dark Clan would prefer to avoid confronting them.

Kotal exchanged a few more words with Tigranth, and the two of them nodded.

"What's the plan?"

"Commander believes that the appearance of these Ice Crystal Golems here is unusual and may be tied to guarding the secrets of Empress Persephone. We've already lingered here for a while, and continuing to wait could be dangerous. The Commander will act immediately, attempting to clear out some of the external Ice Crystal Golems to reduce their numbers. Afterward, we will try to break through and assess the situation more closely before making further decisions."

"Sounds good."

The plan seemed solid.

Fang Heng nodded in agreement.

Soon, Tigranth and the five members of his team maintained their formation and carefully advanced toward the area where the Ice Crystal Golems were gathering.

Sensing an intruder in their territory, the Ice Crystal Golems slowly began to awaken from their crystalline form.

"Ka-ka-ka, ka-ka-ka..."

As their massive bodies shook, the layer of accumulated snow fell off, revealing their glittering, crystalline frames.

"Whoosh!!!"

Tigranth moved forward in a blur, his long sword sweeping through the air.

"Bang!!!"

The long sword struck the Golem's body, leaving a massive wound over a meter long.

"Whoosh!!!"

As the Golem was injured, it swung its massive fist toward Tigranth.

Fortunately, the Golem's fist was slow, and Tigranth easily dodged it.

Whooo!

In the next instant, a blast of freezing wind swept through, carrying shards of ice. The large wound on the Golem's body quickly began to heal, the gaping tear closing up rapidly.

Fang Heng watched the exchange from the side, his expression filled with astonishment.

The Ice Crystal Golems were incredibly durable, and in the special environment of the canyon, they had a massive health regeneration bonus!

It seemed that Commander Tigranth could deal massive damage with each attack. Previously, he had been able to defeat most of the other creatures in the canyon with a single strike.

For magic-based creatures, it usually only took two swings—one to break their shield, and the second to finish them off.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!!"

The surrounding Ice Crystal Golems began to awaken from their crystalline statues, their heavy steps echoing as they slowly started to gather and advance toward the group.

This was not a good sign.

Fang Heng lowered his voice and said, "I'll go help."

"Huh?"

Kotal blinked, momentarily stunned. Before he could respond, Fang Heng was already moving swiftly toward the area where the Ice Crystal Golems were congregating.

God of the Underworld form activated!

Whoosh!

Fang Heng entered his God of the Underworld form, immediately enveloping himself in a protective shield. Four dark prayers of the Underworld manifested around him, swirling with ominous energy.

With the power of the God of the Underworld surging through him, Fang Heng raised his hand toward the nearest Ice Crystal Golem.

Death Grip!

[Hint: The player's Death Grip skill cannot affect super-sized life forms. Skill release failed. A death realm space eruption occurred.]

Boom!!

The Ice Crystal Golem's exterior exploded with a dark burst of death realm energy, the massive shockwave uncontrollably pushing the golem's body backward.

At the same time, the prayers of the God of the Underworld surrounding Fang Heng released Underworld Fire toward the Ice Crystal Golem every 0.5 seconds.

Fang Heng quickly glanced at the damage numbers.

The Underworld Fire turned out to be much more effective than the Death Grip attack!

Unfortunately, the Underworld Fire only lasted less than 2 seconds on the Ice Crystal Golem's surface before it vanished.

It seemed that the Ice Crystal Golem's magical resistance had been triggered. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Fang Heng quickly rushed towards the Ice Crystal Golem again, his right hand reaching out in a grabbing motion.

Whoosh!!

The aura of the death realm surged around Fang Heng's palm, gathering into a scepter of death energy.

"Whooo!!!"

As Fang Heng neared the Golem, he swung the scepter at it, striking it hard.

"Bang!!!"

The Golem was once again knocked backward.

Fang Heng frowned.

The God of the Underworld form hadn't been as useful as Fang Heng had anticipated. Death Grip also had an internal cooldown, making it ineffective against a massive creature like the Ice Crystal Golem, which was extremely resilient.

Moreover, the special environmental effects were significantly boosting the Ice Crystal Golem's self-healing abilities.

That meant...

It was time to change tactics.

Fang Heng withdrew from his God of the Underworld form, quickly bringing his hands together in front of him to channel a different power.

Eternal Tree Realm!

A giant-sized magic array materialized beneath his feet, its phantom-like glow casting an ethereal light around him.

With the surge of energy completely different from the death realm, a dense network of vines and roots began to emerge from the ground, sprawling outward. They spread rapidly, covering the surrounding icy landscape with thick, twisting tendrils that seemed to anchor and entangle the very environment itself.

"Chi! Chi! Chi! Chi!!!"

More and more branches began to spill out from the ground, twisting and winding through the air like serpents seeking to ensnare anything in their path!
