Chapter 394 The Magus Class, Insane Passive
Ding!
[You have unlocked the "Magus" Class.]
The notification lingered in the air as Stark stood, letting the realization sink in.
The wheel had spoken, and the path was chosen: he was now officially a Magus. His sixth class.
That meant the last remaining option, [Beast Tamer], was reserved for level 200, the final milestone.
Stark couldn't help but wonder what kind of beast he might have tamed: a terrifying monstrosity, or maybe something unexpectedly adorable.
A fleeting sense of curiosity tugged at him, but he brushed it aside.
"You can't win them all," he muttered with a shrug.
Instead, he focused on his newly unlocked class.
He pulled up the details.
[Magus: Can wield magic and release spells.]
"...Huh?"
It was... underwhelming.
Stark's brows furrowed.
For any other classifier, the Magus class might have been monumental, a gateway to commanding spells capable of reshaping battlefields.
But for Stark, this was redundant.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
If you don't remember, every domination user's abilities and weapons may be different.
But for Stark, his weapons were his [Fists and Magic], and as the latter stated, it meant that he could already use a [Magus]'s magic to begin with.
Getting this class was in fact not helping at all.
"So... what was the point?" he mumbled, annoyed.
Then another notification appeared.
[As this class's power is already granted by Domination, it will be absorbed, offering a boost in power.]
Stark raised an eyebrow, "Oh yeah, that thing, I guess it could help..."
Ding!
[Domination is currently absorbing Magus...]
[0... 20... 40... 60... 80... 100!]
[It has been absorbed.]
The moment the process completed, Stark felt it, a surge of raw energy coursing through his body.
His aura swelled, expanding with a potency that was almost overwhelming.
It was like a limiter had broken, releasing a flood of unimaginable strength.
And then, the next notification left him stunned.
Ding!
[You have been granted the "Domination Magus" Passive!]
[Description: Each skill's damage is now doubled as your aura has become much stronger, the power of a grand mage fusing with yours.]
"...?!"
His jaw dropped. "Damage doubled?!"
This wasn't just good, it was insane.
Every single skill he possessed now dealt twice the damage. His already devastating attacks, which could obliterate enemies in seconds, had just been amplified beyond reason.
Stark quickly did the math in his head. "If I was dealing 5,000,000 damage before... that's 10,000,000 now!"
He clenched his fists, feeling the power radiating from him.
The void around him shimmered in response to his rising aura, the very space trembling under the force of his newfound strength.
This wasn't just a class, it was an evolution.
A step closer to becoming an unstoppable force.
"And it's a passive..." he whispered, grinning. "Always active, no conditions, no cooldowns. Perfect."
Any doubts he had about the Magus class evaporated.
This was beyond what he could have hoped for.
The fusion of grand magical power into his Domination abilities elevated him to a whole new level.
Then the void trembled again, signaling his time here was coming to an end.
[You are about to wake up.]
Stark took one last deep breath, savoring the moment.
"Looks like it's time to wake up," he said, his grin widening.
And after that a few additional seconds, he suddenly lost consciousness.
The last thing he saw in front of his eyes was the door that stated "4 Remains".
"So it's in fact the classes, heh," he mumbled.
Finally, Stark fell down, hitting the ground of the void.
...
And mere instants later, Stark's eyes snapped open in the real world.
He sat up abruptly, the lingering rush of power from the void still buzzing faintly in his veins.
Shaking off the haze, he instinctively reached for his phone on the small table beside him.
The screen lit up, and immediately a flood of notifications bombarded him.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
His brow furrowed as he scrolled through countless missed calls and messages.
[Lana: Where are you?! It's been a week!]
[Sora: Take your time.
[Lilith: They told me that you do that often, it's quite surprising.]
"A week?" he sighed, knowing perfectly what it meant.
Swiping to his clock app confirmed it, seven full days had passed since he entered the void.
It had felt like only an hour at most yet here he was.
He kept scrolling.
[Sora: Just call me when you wake up or are available.]
Sora seemed to be the only reasonable one.
And so, without hesitating, he dialed her number.
The phone rang twice before Sora picked up, her voice calm.
In the background, he could hear Lana and Lilith suddenly get up and shout "who's that" or "Is it Stark?!"
"Stark," Sora spoke first, "Let me guess, sleep?"
"..." Stark smiled, she knew him well, "Yeah, I guess so."
There was a pause. When she spoke again, Sora's voice had softened slightly.
"It's fine, the other two are right next to me, they seem... mad, though, I'll explain everything to them."
"Thanks Sora," he was grateful to Sora for always keeping her composure, as having three people scream at him would have probably angered him more than anything, "I'll try to come today or tomorrow for sure."
Ending the call, he tossed the phone onto the bed and exhaled.
Seven days gone. His newfound power from absorbing the Magus class still thrummed beneath the surface.
He stood, stretching briefly.
He will still in the Domination Association's VIP room, so it was confusing why Ed or the commanders didn't try to wake him up.
"Looks like I've got some explaining to do," he muttered before heading for the door.
As Stark reached for the door, a screen descended from the ceiling, hovering just inches in front of him.
The sudden motion made him pause, and the screen lit up with a familiar face.
It was Ed, the Domination Association's tech expert and occasional nuisance.
"Yo, kid," Ed greeted with his usual nonchalant grin. "You've been sleeping for a while, probably from the trial and stuff.
Don't worry, me and the others are handling things for now. But in the meantime, check out your new toy, your [Multi-Task Watch].
You'll be able to connect with us and do all sorts of cool stuff with it."
The screen flickered off as quickly as it had appeared, leaving Stark staring at the empty space where it had been.
"Hm... I guess it was pretty cool..." Stark muttered, shaking his head.
Still, curiosity got the better of him.
Reaching into his [Spatial Inventory], he pulled out the sleek, high-tech watch.
It gleamed faintly, its design futuristic yet practical, with a smooth black band and a holographic interface visible on the surface.
He tapped the screen, expecting it to light up. Yet nothing happened. Stay connected with empire
Frowning, he tried again, but a panel suddenly appeared before him:
[Multi-Task Watch needs to link with your aura to activate.]
"Figures," Stark sighed.
Without hesitation, he slid the watch onto his wrist.
The moment it clicked into place, a faint hum resonated through the device, syncing with his aura.
A soft glow spread across the screen, and intricate symbols lit up as it activated.
"Let's see what's so good about it," he murmured, flexing his wrist as the watch displayed its boot-up sequence.
