Seconds later, a horde of dinosaur-looking monsters appeared at the base of the tree while sniffing the air. Atlas quickly wrapped his cloak around Amethyst, which helped them blend into their surroundings.

'Hopefully, they don't spot us,' he mused. 'They won't. We're too high up.'

The monsters started letting out loud chirps, which caused more of them to jump out of the surrounding trees. They watched the monsters pouring around the base. While sitting there, he used Void Sight on the creatures to find out what they were.

'What the fuck? I'll avoid them for now. They will be a nightmare to fight,' he pondered, just as a big one stepped into view.

Atlas lowered down as the leader let out a loud screech, which caused the monsters to rush off in one direction. When the duo saw this, they sighed in relief as he spoke, ''Looks like they'll hunt us for a while. We'll need to be careful.''

When the phoenix woman heard this, she nodded, ''If it gets any worse, I'll return to the Otherworld as you can use Void Step to travel.''

Following that, they jumped out of the tree before landing with a soft thud before traveling along the monster trail. By the time the sun began to set, Amethyst was tired, causing him to usher her through the portal so she could rest.

Once she was gone, Atlas didn't stop moving until reaching a trail which was made by humanoids thanks to the footprints all over the place. He started following it until growing exhausted, forcing him to look for somewhere to sleep.

'There should be a place nearby.'

That's when he noticed a tree hollow a few meters above the ground. Without hesitation, Atlas climbed until reaching the hollow, where he slipped inside and found it snug but surprisingly comfortable.

He pulled out a few blankets from his pack and wrapped them around himself, settling in for the night. Roars, howls, and other monster noises rang out across the forest, which amplified as a horde appeared.

'What a nightmare is coming now!' Atlas thought.

The women attempted to persuade him to join them in the Otherworld, but he declined with a contented smile, finding peace in the hollow as the ambient noises soothed him. Estelle chuckled at his stubbornness, playfully calling him a weirdo before laughing.

While lying there, Atlas pulled out some dumplings before eating as the forest erupted into chaos and a monster battle was underway. He stuck his head out of the hollow only to see the Bloodclaws fighting with other dinosaurs.

'Oh fuck, I'm not getting involved with that shitshow.'

Following that, he hid himself again as the creatures jumped onto the branches below. This caused him to keep quiet, as he didn't want to fight them. His eyelids grew heavier with each passing moment until he finally surrendered to exhaustion.

With his blanket wrapped snugly around him, Atlas drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep, the faint aroma of his meal lingering in the air. The next morning, he woke up feeling refreshed as he climbed out of the hollow.

''Now let's find the wolf people and drop Ulric off before heading south to cause chaos,'' he muttered while Void Stepping to the ground below.

Atlas continued traveling up the trail until reaching a massive log wall that blocked his path forward. 'What are they up to?' he pondered while studying it.

He shrugged before using Void Step to appear on the top, only to see a sea of tents that ended at a rushing waterfall. Atlas thought to himself while taking in everything, 'A stupid place to set up camp. They're trapped if an enormous monster appears.'

Seconds after that thought, several ice spells flew in his direction, but he quickly cast Void Guard' to block everything. Explosions rang out just as Atlas jumped off the top and landed with a thud.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Wolf people surrounded him until an older woman appeared wearing royal armor. She stopped in front of him and spoke in an annoyed tone, ''What brings you here, elf?''

''King Ulric Shadowfang is on the run from the empire and I have in my realm,'' Atlas answered in an honest tone.

When the woman heard this, her gold eyes opened in fascination. She shook her head and introduced herself. ''I'm Queen Aurora Frostfang. Where is my cousin?''

Atlas nodded in agreement before summoning Ulric, who appeared from the azure portal, shocking the surrounding wolves. One of the soldiers saw the king, and they backed off in respect as Aurora commented, ''What happened to your kingdom? We heard the empire dogs had captured you.''

Ulric frowned and motioned for a nearby table, ''Sit down and I'll explain everything,'' the older man said.

Following that, Atlas stood off the side but that's when men rushed up to them as the eldest exclaimed, ''The Bloodclaws are attacking the wall, they'll break through any minute now.''

When hearing this, Ulric turned to him with a pleading expression, causing Atlas to nod before making his way to the camp gates. He appeared on the top using Void Step only to see the monsters ramming the wood.

Without hesitation, he leaped into the fray, hurling a Void Lance at one of the creature's heads. The spell struck true, detonating it in a burst of gore as chunks of flesh and bone scattered through the air.

Once Atlas hit the ground, more Bloodclaws emerged from the shadows, their crimson-streaked claws glinting menacingly in the dim light. Their low growls resonated like a chilling melody, but he stood unfazed, his blade already in hand.

The closest creature lunged at him, claws slashing through the air. Atlas quickly sidestepped, countering with a strike that cleaved through its chest. Dark blood sprayed as the creature collapsed with a guttural howl.

The others surged forward in a frenzy, but Atlas met them head-on. His movements were a blend of strength and grace, each swing of his blade cutting through their thick hide.
