Lord Shadow

Chapter 1870: Silent Statue

Chapter 1870: Silent Statue

"A shield to protect the mind. Interesting. Asargan give birth to a quite interesting civilization and race"

Wargod thought to himself.

Azief no longer pays attention to Will right now

If there is a problem Will would tell him

Right now, Will is focusing his mind and only after his teacher told him he could look at the temple, he have the courage to look at it.

"be prepared" that is the last words that he could hear from his teacher before he look at the wall

And the moment he looks at it, he was sucked into that illusion

But unlike Samara, he had a guide.

Samara was beside him. In the real world and in the illusion world

And the memory did not affect him that much because he could depersonalized himself from the experience he felt in that illusion of reincarnation

"It's memories" his teacher told him. Around Will right now, he sees a tribe rising from war and begins creating a village.

Then a city. Then a country.

The memories itself is speeded up. The more he sees, the more it is speeded up, the more pain Will felt in his mind

It is like a brain freeze only ten times more painful. And the pain become more and more as the things he seems become more and more and the speed become faster.

Slowly, the speed adjusted to his mental capacity. The more pain he feels, the more distorted the illusion and the slower the memory become.

Samara is beside him making sure that the pain is not too much. Because she had seen it before it did not affect her that much.

"This is useless to you for now. If you came here without me, you might suffer from some mental instability for a few decades before you finally be healed. But it does have the power to strengthen your mental strength and mental power. It is just that it is not yet time for you to learn this kind of method"

It is quite a coincidence that when Wil came here, she is with him.

Coincidence.

That word. That word is something that Samara did not like at all.

Because she knows all about these "coincidences"

There is nothing that came into being coincidentally.

There is always fate and destiny guiding and herding the living beings to reach a certain place

at a certain time to fulfil some kind of objective that only they know

At times some powerful beings would create this "coincidence"

Like throwing a stone that creates a ripple that affect everything else.

Slowly, Will mental strength is getting stronger and the Speed Source in his soul is getting stronger.

"This would be his refinement of the body. He could breakthrough now" Samara mutters as the scenery around them changes, showing the changes of ten thousand lives and ten thousand deaths

-

Will and Samara stand in place without moving. Like some kind of statue.

Azief saw these two looking at the temple and he is also looking at the temple. But his feelings and his vision did not see the same things as those two

And even the things they thought is not the same as the thoughts that Azief had right now.

No wonder they are transfixed looking at this temple

It is really...something.

This is the thought of Azief right now.

He did not think of things like visions or memories, instead, he just admire the structure in the middle of the forest.

It stands in this forest bathed in dappled sunlight.

It is beautiful.

But what happens around it is what makes it mystical. The area filled with sun sometimes morphed into a domain with darkness.

There are night and day. The space itself seems to be fragmented. Azief did not took long to understand what it is. It is nothing more than fragmented space time

The area that is with moonlight is a fragment of time from another period and the one with the sunlight is from the current time.

But the current time and any other time period is hard to distinguish.

Azief had long heard that the Speedster also heavily related with the rules of time.

This unseen energy that he is feeling right now....this must be time energy. And the sourced of this energy is none other than the Temple.

It is ancient stone, the wall covered with intricate carvings and murals, paintings. Both Will and Samara is looking at the walls

"They see something?" Azief thought to himself.

He come closer to Will and Samara and he was shocked to see that both of them seems to have their eyes turns cloudy. He frownedn/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Azief turns to Wargod

Wargod immediately knows why Azief turns towards him

'I did not do that" Azief frowned but he accepted the explanation.

"Then what is happening to them?"

"Transferral of knowledge" he paused for a second and then added

"A transferal of memories" Wargod said as he come closer to the walls and trace his fingers on the intricate drawings and murals on the wall

"There is celestial patterns on this walls. Some of them are taken from other civilization, some of them are of Savi'krian legacy. And some of them....." And Wargod only chuckles.

Azief follows Wargod. But he halted as he looks at Will and Samara

"How about them?" Wargod smiles

"They are fine. Leave them be. They might even have some kind of opportunities after all of this over" Azief listening to this nodded.

He notices that Will is also shrouded with some kind of electrical arcs. Like a revolving shield

around him

It is hard to notice because these electrical arcs seems like translucent and did not produce

noise like before

It is like it evolved.

Before it emitted loud buzzing sound.

Then the sound turns to low buzzing sound and the electrical arcs become less pronounced.

But now, the electrical arcs not only did not have any sound but the electrical arcs around Will body itself is becoming hard to see.

Time and Space separates this timeline and the timeline where Will and Samara is standing.

This is only his feeling but he believes that he is right.

He then focused back on looking at the temple walls.

He sees that there is vines slithering on its weathered surface and he touches it

The moment he touches it, the vines turns to dust.

Wargod smiles

"It is just an illusion. In the case that someone else discovered this in the dimensional fold the

vines would attack them. But since I already open up the fold, this vine no longer have any

defensive powers"

Azief nodded

He was also very impressed.

There is a lot to learn from Wargod. He never thought that not only Wargod put this temple in

a space fold, but there is also other protective measures.

Azief thought that he himself is very cautious when creating defensive places but it is clear

that Wargod is even more cautious than himself

Wargod began walking toward the temple.

The structure itself rises in tiers, each level crowned with spires adorned with crystalline ornaments that catch and refract the light, casting a rainbow of colours onto the clearing

below.

A grand staircase leads to the temple's entrance, flanked by statues of mythical creatures griffins, serpents, and beings that defy earthly description.

Azief look at all of these mythical creatures and he wonders why there is such statue.

And the statue look new. From what he knows of the temple, the temple itself is not this ostentatious. Azief look at Wargod and Wargod understood what Azief is about to ask

"I added it. Call it a bonus"

But Azief is still looking at him. He wanted more elaborations. Wargod close his eye and then

sighed.

"I owe Asargan a favour. Truth be told, I don't like Savi'krian race. Not one bit. This is a race that wreak havoc on time and space. There are some good to them but more of them is more interested in sowing chaos than to ever sit down quietly and think a little before they do

something"

It is clear that Wargod has quite the complaint against the Savi'krian race. There is also a sense of sadness when he is talking about the Savi'krian race

The rebuke itself seems more like concern from an older generation

"But I do owe Asargan. And a favour needs to be repaid. Even more so when the debtor

actually came to this place."

Azief chuckles a bit. The debtor must be referring to Samara. Then Azief look back at the temple and he notices all of these statues. He narrowed his eyes and stimulate his Divine

Sense but he did not sense anything weird about these statues. Which makes it even weirder to

him

"What use of these statues?" Azief ask without hesitation

He could not find anything wrong with these statues. It looks like stone statue and it did not

emanate any powerful fluctuations of energy.

But if Wargod calls it a bonus, how could it be just a stone statue?
