Chapter 254 Do You Really Think I'm Going to Take My Clothes Off?
The atmosphere suddenly turned silent, making the soft breeze around them feel a lot louder than before. It seemed like time had frozen for Vivian as she processed what she had just heard.
After a few seconds, she took a large gulp of the whiskey, making her wince a little bit. "Okay, so what? Even if that's true, why are you telling me all this?"
Lucifer gave her a stern look. "Do you remember what I said back in the office when we had the talk about relationships?"
"Yes, of course. You were saying that I should make my own decision regarding having other partners and that the opinions of others don't matter in such cases. However, I still don't understand what that has to do with all of this." Vivian pointed to the surroundings, looking at him with a confused expression.
"What do you think would happen to your daughter, Aunt Vivian, if she came to live in this place with me? Will she have to worry about having enough time to spend with me since I have other women besides her? Or will she lack anything at all? Hmm?" Lucifer said, holding his glass with one hand while the other slipped inside the pocket of his pants, keeping the same relaxed stance.
"Tell me, isn't this place big enough for dozens of people to live in without any problem? Would any of my girls ever feel like I'm neglecting them when they can be with me every day and get whatever they wish?"
Vivian remained silent, her expression growing serious again, almost in shock, as she turned her gaze towards the city far away, letting out a deep breath. 'I can't even imagine how luxurious living here would be... I have never seen this kind of house, and it's mind-blowing. Gwen living here? The idea is insane. She would become a princess in her own home with everything she needs and wants available to her...'
But even before her thoughts went further, Lucifer interrupted her once more.
"Instead of getting the attention and love of only one man, here she'd be surrounded by all my beautiful, caring ladies who would stand by her side through thick and thin. Whenever she needs them, they'd be there to help, to spend time with her, even when I can't. Isn't that amazing?" He took a step closer to her, closing the distance between them. "So tell me, Aunt Vivian, is she better off staying with me or not?"
"Lucifer, I... I don't know." Vivian whispered in a hesitant voice; the struggle was clear in her eyes. 'It does sound tempting... but still, having so many women next to him and Gwen agreeing to such a lifestyle... There's something about it that feels wrong... I just don't know anymore...'
Lucifer seized the moment, extending his hand to hold her chin, tilting her face upward so their eyes met. "Not sure yet? Well then, how about taking some time to think it over while enjoying a swim in that wonderful pool?"
"Pool?" Vivian gave him a confused look as he turned his head toward the infinity pool, where the water was calmly flowing with a mesmerizing blue tone. "But... I haven't brought any swimming suits."
"Well, who said you needed that to get in the pool?" He said with a smirk, making her take a step back in surprise.
Vivian knew what he was getting at and glanced around the area. "What the hell... Do you really think I'm going to take my clothes off and get into that water here?"
"Hahaha... Of course not. I was just joking." Lucifer let out a soft laugh, smiling mischievously. "To prove it, I already arranged for a swimsuit to be brought here. See that door behind us? There's a changing room with towels, suits, and anything else you might need. There's even someone waiting to assist you. Just head through that door, and I'll be here when you're ready to jump in."
"But why do you want me to swim with you? I mean... that sounds way too..." Vivian hesitated, her words trailing off, unable to describe how the thought made her feel. 'What is wrong with me? Why did this simple invitation get me flustered like this?'
"It's a gorgeous day." Lucifer raised his arms upward, enjoying the gentle breeze against his body. "The weather's perfect, the view is incredible—it'd be a shame not to make the most of it, don't you think, Aunt Vivian?"
"Hmm... Fine, I'll go in. Not that I care about showing myself in a bikini. However, I came here to have a serious talk, and you seem to be shifting the mood around for your own convenience." Vivian scowled as she put aside her empty glass, heading straight toward the mentioned room, hoping the maid he talked to would be a reliable one.
She soon came face-to-face with Jane, standing inside the room. "Mr. Reynolds mentioned you'd want some assistance, ma'am." She gave a gentle smile and extended a couple of different bikini options. "I took the liberty of finding some choices I believed to be perfect for you. But of course, if you don't like them or believe there could be something else more fitting, I could—"
"No, these should do." Vivian shook her head while she took a quick glimpse at the choices presented. Then, in one swift move, she grabbed the bright green bikini option. "I'm taking this one. Thank you..."
"Jane." The maid completed the unspoken sentence. "Now, if you don't need anything else, ma'am, I'll leave you alone and take my leave."
"Right, thank you, Jane." Vivian smiled and waited for the maid to walk out, leaving her to herself.
Soon enough, Vivian removed her pantsuit and folded them neatly on the bench before slipping into the green bikini, checking her appearance in the mirror as she adjusted the straps behind her neck.
'Doesn't this one show a bit too much?' She thought while analyzing it. 'Well, he did see me completely naked the last time, so what am I nervous about? Besides, it looks good on me.'
After appreciating the bikini fit and how flattering it was on her body, she walked over to the side of the pool, gazing at Lucifer swimming with only a pair of black swim trunks.
