MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM

Chapter 43 MirrorSpawn

MirrorSpawn

"19,000." Christopher said calmly and everyone was surprised by the development. Both because they were surprised by how bold this newcomer was to enter a bid war with the Elven Queen, and because the two of them were fighting over the seemingly average dagger.

"23,000."

"30,000."

"35,000."

The price kept getting higher and higher until the Queen eye twitched and she said decisively.

"90,000." The price shocked a lot of people.

It wasn't all that expensive. After all they could all procure such an amount with relative ease. Still they didn't expect the Elven Queen to be so fierce. But even then.

"200,000." Christopher said calmly and the place went silent.

Aisha paled and she looked at her mother, however, she simply shook her head and leaned back in her seat, showing no indication of raising the bid any higher.

"Going once! Going Twice! Sold to the Gentleman over there!" Sinestra said with enthusiasm and there was a small round of applause by the crowd.

"Master. Why do you want that dagger so much. It doesn't seem all that impressive." Silver said with confusion

"You guys will see." He said calmly and everyone watched as the dagger was stored and taken off the stage.

In truth, Christopher did not have 200,000 Stellar Coins by any means. But he knew that the amount of money he would gain from his items being sold would be a whole lot. So he wasn't worried about not being able to pay.

Soon, the next item appeared. This time it was a consumable item that was said to be able to raise one's constitution. This drew quite a bit of attention and the bid for it rose very quickly. However, Christopher's interest vanished when he saw it as it wasn't all that impressive to him.

In the end, the Darius Family head Paul managed to buy it at 150,000 Stellar Coins and seemed satisfied with the purchase.

Time passed and more and more exaggerated items appeared. There was a cloak that boasted near perfect stealth, several powerful Artifacts and consumables. And so on.

However nothing had managed to pique Christopher's interest until the 12th item.

Everyone looked on with curiosity when they saw the large cage.

"Hm, must be a slave." Belladonna remarked and Christopher's interest was piqued.

'A slave huh? That might work.' He thought as the servants moved to the cloth covering the tarp.

But when they removed the cloth, shock spread through the room as the 'item' was revealed.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Christopher narrowed his eyes when he saw what it was.

Inside, female could be seen. Her body was emaciated and her skin was deathly pale. She was in a seated position with special chains binding her hands and legs.

The most notable things about her however, were her hair and the pair of mirror-like wings on her back. They were very beautiful as they seemed to reflect a myriad of colors no matter what angle one looked at them from. However, they were cracked and their luster had faded pretty strongly.

The other notable thing was her hair which looked like it was made out of mirror shards and it was quite trippy to look at, but also, just like her wings, quite beautiful.

Something interesting though, was that her eyes were blindfolded.

Christopher used his Runic Insight and showed a trace of surprise when he found more runes he didn't recognise floating around her. Though he could see that they had the same mirror-like quality as her wings as hair.

'Interesting.' He thought as waited for Sinestra to give his description.

"Friends, as you can see, this is a live MirrorSpawn born from the essence of the Mirror Realm. This one was extremely tricky to catch, as are most things from the Mirror Realm, and now has a slave brand." Sinestra explained enthusiastically.

"If this one can be controlled properly, She will be extremely useful for all sorts of things. Not to mention her skills are excellent for evasion and deception." The more Christopher heard, the more impressed he was, but he also became slightly worried. Such a being would be sought after by the other people in the room, so getting her would be difficult.

"The starting bid will be 90,000 Stellar Coins and the least one can raise is by 10,000. Bidding begins now." Hearing this, Christopher was surprised. It might sound like a lot but most of the things that had been bought thus far had managed to exceed more that 200,000 just in their starting price alone. Except for a few things anyway.

So the price being so low despite her capabilities was a surprise to him. Especially when he could tell that she was definitely at the red rank.

And even more surprising was the fact that when the price had been called, no one made any moves to bid.

For a good ten seconds, the room was deathly silent as no one seemed even the least bit interested in buying the MirrorSpawn.

'Something must be wrong with h3r for such a thing to be the case. But why?' As if sensing his confusion, Thanatos spoke up, once more sound was isolated around her.

"Master, the issue with buying such a slave is that nurturing them is extremely difficult. To begin with, one needs to venture into the Mirror Realm to receive the required materials just to let her grow properly. Such ventures are extremely difficult and very dangerous. As such, it's less cost effective than what one might think." When he finished, Christopher nodded in understanding.

'I see, nurturing her is more expensive and uncertain than buying her in general. As such it isn't worth it in the eyes of most. Interest.' However, Christopher smiled behind his mask.

'Well, it doesn't matter. After all, I'm different from everyone in this hall.' As he had that thought, he raised his sign.

Sinestra was about to call a Null Bid when everyone heard a voice.

"100,000 Coins." Everyone turned in surprise to see Christopher's sign raised.

All sorts of questions ran through their minds as they wondered what could possibly be going through his mind. After all, there was no way he didn't know why it wasn't wise to buy such a slave.

Still, Christopher didn't pay attention to these gazes and just did his own thing. No one tried to stop him or try to interfere, including the Vampires.

No one here was dumb. They already had plans of their own. Sure they had a fallout with Christopher and his group, but they weren't dumb enough to forego their plans just to spite him.

So without any incident, Christopher obtained the MirrorSpawn slave.

'That went well.' He thought as the cage was once more covered by the cloth and taken off the stage.

Christopher was confident in his choice for the simple reason being his dimension. It didn't discriminate and enhanced everything that entered inside as long as Christopher had brought that thing in using his own ability.

So it didn't really matter if she was from another realm. He was pretty sure he was stronger than her and when she entered. She would make a great addition to his squad.

Though more than that, the premise of the different Realms had piqued his interest. He knew what they were since he'd spent a lot of time reading within his Dimension, and he didn't only read books that spoke about creating stuff and read on the world as well, and among the things he learned about, the realms were one of them.

The realms existed on another plane. But at the same time overlapped with their world as well. It was strange to think about but it was kinda how there were different wavelengths of light that overlapped with each other.

Each realm had its own unique trait making every realm different. And Christopher planned to traverse these realms when the Auction was over.

He had a new spell in development which would make the journey easier. But besides the Auction there were other things he was still thinking about. Like those guys who had tried to kill him.

Christopher assumed they were the ones that had threatened Titus' life in the carriage and thought they wanted revenge since he had made them fail to steal whatever it was they were carrying. He appeared quite lax towards their advances but the truth was that he was being extremely cautious. That's also why he knew whenever they were around as his senses were always peeled and ready for an attack.

He told himself that he would deal with them when he wasn't busy, and after the Auction seemed like a good time. Though he wasn't sure if he wanted to go to the different realms first before attacking them.

But for now, he would simply sit back and watch the rest of the event. After all, it was time for the more important items to appear. And among them would be the things he had produced.

'It's about time the real show began.' He thought with a smile.
