MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM

Chapter 47 Her Opinion

Her Opinion

"Sold to the Gentleman over there!" Sinestra said with his same enthusiastic smile. The next item was bought by, surprisingly, the Dragons.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

It was a powerful healing artifact, a wand called Vitalis Supremacy.

It was the first item the Dragons had bought since the Auction began and made many believe there was a special reason they had chosen that one item out of all of the ones that had been presented.

Still, the more things that were sold, the more anxious the various forces became. This was the first time that the number of peak items had reached such a high volume, meaning the number of things that could be obtained increased.

However, this also made more people anxious. After all, who knew when items like these would appear again? As such, each person wanted a piece.

However, the number of people who wanted something and the number of people who could actually buy something were totally different.

Still, many people were willing to dig deep into their cash reserves just to afford one or two things.

Thus, the number of people bidding for these items still far outweighed the number that would usually bid for the very expensive items.

It was truly a bidding war.

And the culprit just sitting with his arms folded, deep in thought.

After a while, Christopher nodded to himself.

'Yup, I'll do that.' He thought and settled back in his seat. He wasn't exactly relaxed, but he had formulated a plan. And if it didn't work, he could just leave and wait in his dimension until everything settled.

Up until now, everyone simply thought that he was teleporting away without leaving a trace when he was in fact, hiding in his dimension which seemed to leave no traces behind, and so far, no one had been able to sense it on him either.

He wouldn't just enter it in front of someone way stronger than him. But for now, it was a good backup plan. Moreover, even if someone sensed it and tried to enter, he was far stronger within his dimension than anywhere else. And as such, he was confident that he could defend himself if there were any unwanted visitors. Not that he would want to have said unwanted visitors in the first place.

Still, it was better to be prepared.

Sylvaris had been the Elven Queen for quite a long time.

By default, Elves had an incredible lifespan. Even without practicing magic, most mundane Elves had a lifespan ranging from a few hundred to a thousand years. And Sylvaris was older than that by a lot.

Coupled with her quick wit and great magic talent, it wasn't surprising when she outdid her siblings and managed to become the Queen of the Elven Kingdom. Reigning over it for thousands of years.

She had seen a lot of things in her long life. Many mundane and many incredible. She also met all sorts of people. Greedy, kind, lecherous, calm, indifferent, outgoing, and so on. As such, she had managed to develop a very keen intuition and was great at reading people.

Her experiences had allowed her to make her judgments wisely.

That's why when she met Christopher, she immediately knew that he was pretty naive, but also pretty sharp for his age.

He carried himself with confidence that made her wonder what made him feel as such, but the more she observed him, the more she was sure there was more to him that met the eye.

And that captivated her.

A vast majority of the humans she met in her life either stared at her with just, fear, or disdain. As such, they rarely received her respect.

The Human Emperor was one of the few she had some respect for due to his admirable strength, but even then, he was quite arrogant for her taste. Which, to be fair, he had the right to be, after all, firmly uniting the chaotic Human race under a single banner without too many problems was quite astounding in itself.

Still, it was nice to talk to someone, or anyone outside of your immediate family that didn't either piss themselves in fright, unclothe you in their minds, or think you were beneath them.

That's why Christopher captivated her. He had similar confidence to what she saw when she was dealing with other race leaders, but he was quite humble.

At first, she saw him as a pushover when they first met. His service attitude in apologising to the three Family heads made him seem like someone who would prostrate at the tip of a hat. Actually, she still saw him as a pushover to some degree, but not as much as before.

That's because when they actually talked, he was respectful towards her sure, but there was no fear or reverence. It was like someone appreciating someone who did a good deed. The deed warranted respect, but that's all you would get, respect.

There was no overbearing confidence, and the way he spoke showed that he respected her position as Queen, but he neither looked down on her nor tried to kiss her feet. He saw her as an equal, or something similar.

On one hand, Sylvaris was put off by this to an extent. She is the Queen of one of the most prominent Kingdoms in the entire world, and almost everyone sees her as someone at the absolute peak, some even thought she was a goddess of sorts.

She was used to either being treated disdainfully or as a being of untouchable power. So this human who radiated an aura weaker than her made her wonder, to some extent, who he thought he was, to see her as an equal.

But on the other hand, that was exactly what captivated her.

It was… refreshing, to speak to someone who didn't see her as some divine being or see her and beneath himself besides her own daughter. And even when they had chatted before the Auction started, he still used her honorifics, but it was obvious he didn't care about those and merely spoke to her as a person. And it was nice to be spoken to so casually by an outsider, even if she thought he was a little bit naive.

But in the end, the thing that interested her the most was his confidence. Frankly speaking, while he wasn't the weakest person in this room by a long shot, he definitely wasn't the strongest. Or rather, he didn't radiate the strongest Aura.

When he was faced by the Dragons and Vampires, he showed no signs of panic and his body language was completely relaxed with no sign of tension or panic.

He was definitely sharp enough to see that any wrong words or moves would antagonise the two groups, but he showed no signs of distress.

One can argue that he knew Sinestra would step in the moment any side showed signs of violence, but due to her keen intuition, she was able to sense the faintest wisps of Mana circulating around his body, which meant that despite being relaxed, he was ready to fight at any point in time.

It was mind boggling really. Fighting off the Vampires already sounded like a bit of a stretch, after all, they were in a similar position to herself and the Dragons, but not only was he unafraid, he even had the gall to threaten them.

Then there were the dragons themselves. Sylvaris was wary of the beings whether she wanted to admit it or not. So was everyone else in the room. Sure they wouldn't back down if provoked, but respect was almost a must when dealing with them.

Yet Christopher did not cower in front of their heavy gazes and calmly explained his situation to them, and once more, she sensed that he was ready to fight with all of them if they tried it. Which was baffling to her.

It prompted one to ask if he was either brave or dumb.

However, Sylvaris knew that he had a reason to believe in his strength. In the first place, his entourage was very strange. Two dragons, children or not, was already quite astounding, and it wasn't odd that the Dragons questioned whether or not they were following him of their own free will.

Then there was the Vampire which was almost as, if not even stranger. After all, it was common knowledge that Vampires and humans were not to interact with each other since Vampires saw the latter as nothing but food. As such, they saw siding with them as belittling. After all, it would be the same as siding with an animal, in their eyes.

And yet he managed to make a Vampire his subordinate, willing to fight her own kind for him.

Then there were the two demi-humans. She was quite surprised since demi-humans hardly got very strong and those that did were the cream of the crop among their species. So seeing two, especially two that were so young but so strong with him was also very impressive.

And lastly, there was the person who wore the dark hood that followed him silently. Sylvaris didn't like him. Due to growing up near the world tree, she was exposed to powerful life force for a large portion of her life and could somewhat tell the difference between weaker and stronger life force.

This man reeked of death.

Still, it wasn't her place to judge, so she left it. Though she kept him under her radar, just in case he decided to try something. Though she doubted it.

All in all, everything Christopher had shown them was very shocking and made one very curious about his personality. She knew that was more to him than what he showed. She just didn't know how much more that was.

She was fairly sure he was the one who was selling these incredible items and it made her wonder just how he could procure things like this.

'The more I learn about him, the more unsurprised I am when I think about how whatever big thing that's about to happen revolves around him.'
