Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 54 Drunken Cooking Technique And A City-Wide Phenomenon

The System continued to watch Lucian's movements, though they appeared random and amateurish, they had a certain fluidity.

And the more the System watched, the more it was convinced of its guess. There was something behind his seemingly chaotic, almost drunken actions.

Exactly thirty-nine seconds later, the reduction stopped bubbling.

'...What!? When did the reduction finish?!' The System was shocked based on its calculations the reduction should have taken another four minutes. Yet, in just five minutes, from start to finish, the reduction had finished.

While the System was shocked, a System Notification appeared in Lucian's mind accompanied by the sound of a bell, almost as though it wanted to awaken Lucian.

*Ding*

<{You have learned the Drunken Cooking Technique}>

<{Rank: Mortal}>

<{Description: While inebriated, any Mortal Rank dish will cook faster and taste better.

Special Note: The percentage increase in cooking speed and taste enhancement depends on the level of intoxication.}>

*Yawn*

Lucian yawned as he opened his eyes and took in his surroundings. When he noticed he was in his kitchen, his drowsiness immediately vanished.

'I was *hic* right!' Lucian was excited upon seeing he learned the Drunken Cooking Technique. It seemed earlier when he felt that peculiar sensation, he was not hallucinating.

With an excited smile on his usually indifferent face, Lucian added a tablespoon of Brown Lily Dijon Mustard, followed by a fourth of a cup of Frost Bloom Heavy Cream, into the iron skillet. Then, he stirred them into the mixture and waited. Only at regular intervals would he stir so it would not burn.

Meanwhile, the System was still unable to compose itself from shock as it silently watched Lucian cooking, whilst being drunk. His disguised above-average handsome face and sclera were red, while his irises remained dark purple. As he cooked while stumbling and swaying, he looked like a pirate on a ship during a chaotic storm at sea.

However, Lucian felt his movements were natural, as though he had always moved in such a manner. After a minute of stirring, what would have taken about three more minutes to thicken, was finished. He then turned off the hob and gently moved the iron skillet to a different gas top.

The pan sauce was almost finished. It required a few finishing touches: Dragon Fly Flake Salt, freshly ground Frostfire Black Pepper, and a tablespoon of Unsalted Cloud Spotted Cow Butter to enhance its glossiness and velvety texture.

*Tzzt*

*Crack*

After stirring the sauce, the dark red cloud within the kitchen began flashing, accompanied by the crackling sound of lightning.

[Once again… one day you will be the death of me!] Lucian said to the System with gritted teeth. Just like before, this phenomenon was not included in the memories he had received.

After a moment, Lucian continued [Next time, I would prefer it if you don't give me memories of a so-called expert.]

The System did not respond. Simply because it did not know how to respond. The flashes of lightning were beyond its understanding.

'Could it be because the Drunken Monkey Blood Wine evolved?' the System thought to itself before it continued in an unconfident tone: 'But why does the red cloud seem so similar to the Universal Tribulation?... No, it's too small to be the Universal Tribulation.'

—------------

Unbeknownst to Lucian and the System, as soon as the red cloud within the kitchen flashed with arcs of lightning, the original sunny sky above Thunderfall CIty instantly darkened, and the city was engulfed in the color of blood. The atmosphere within the city became dark and gloomy.

The residents of Thunderfall CIty worriedly looked up at the gigantic red cloud.

"Wh-what is happening?"

"Is this the end of the world!?"

"Is this why this city was named Thunderfall City!?n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

*Tzzt*

*Thud*

*Thud*

*Thud*

Suddenly, within the area of Thunderfall City, thunder rumbled, and lightning flashed. Immediately after, a pressure unlike anything the residents had ever felt fell on their bodies.

"Argh!"

"Help!"

"Someone save me!"

"Mommy!"

The residents of Thunderfall City, whether they were young or old, were all forced to kneel, while the disabled were forced to lay helplessly on the floor. All they could do was shout and yell for help, yet within Thunderfall City, there was not a single Mage who could even help themselves, let alone help another.

—-----------

Within the Northern District of Thunderfall City, in the back garden of the Zhang Manor, two men and two women could be seen kneeling with ghastly pale faces.

"What is this feeling!?" An old stern-looking Human man named Zhang Ju mumbled tremblingly.

"I-I can't believe it… I, Chu Wen am kneeling… no way!" An enchanting, barely clothed middle-aged Lizard-kin woman said before muttering under her breath, "I've never even knelt for a man!"

Beside the lizard-kin woman, a pretty, young-looking Human woman questioned, "Did one of you old farts offend an expert!?"

Then, she scoffed and continued in a venomous tone: "And Chu Wen, who are you trying to fool!? Who doesn't know you're on your knees everyday!?"

After hearing Song Liang's words, Chu Wen's pale face from the pressure reddened in anger, "Oi, are you trying to pick a fight with me, you old hag in sheep's clothing!? Who doesn't know you're 536 years old.."

"Damn, seductress, are you looking for a fight? Fine then-"

But before Song Liang could continue, a kind and gentle male voice interrupted her, "Can you two please stop your bickering for one minute? We have something more important to worry about."

"Tch. Fine."

"If that is what Ancestor Jie wishes, then this little girl shall obey."

The Chu and Song Family Ancestors reluctantly agreed, knowing their useless squabble could wait. The red cloud above their heads required their immediate attention.

The old bald man with a white handlebar mustache and ears that looked as though they were cut off, smiled despite his pale face and kneeling posture.

After a moment of silence, Jhang Ju suddenly asked, "Ancestor Jie... is it possible that a Mage created this phenomenon above our heads?"
