Reincarnated as a Divine Tree

Vol. 1 - Chapter 106 - Fierce Battle

Upon hearing the reminder, the clan members swiftly adjusted their attack strategy, using the Heart Breaking Palm technique against the wolf pack. This technique was better suited for the current situation.

The green wolves, known for their hard heads, charged directly at the clan members. However, when the clan members applied the Heart Breaking Palm technique, the wolves' once-strong heads became their fatal weakness. After a few well-placed blows, many green wolves fell to the ground, unable to rise. Though no visible wounds marred their bodies, opening their skulls would reveal their insides reduced to mush.

Had the Heart Breaking Palm been aimed at the wolves' waists, the results wouldn't have been as effective. Despite its potency, the technique's relatively weak power kept it confined to the Yellow Grade.

Soon after, the number of attacking wolves decreased dramatically. Dozens of wolf corpses lay scattered around the remaining clan members.

However, the green wolves' assault had caused the defensive circle to falter. The clan members' formations became disorganized under the pressure. Even Chen Qinghe and Chen Qingmeng, who were still in the mid-stage of the Body Tempering Realm, managed to take down a green wolf amid the chaos. Though both were visibly exhausted, their expressions carried a hint of pride. It was the first ferocious beast they had ever slain.

A loud howl echoed once more, signaling the remaining green wolves' retreat. But before the clan members could relax, several pairs of bright eyes glowed from the darkness.

The wolf pack was returning.

This time, the eyes weren't the usual ghostly green. They gleamed a deep blue. As the blue-eyed wolves emerged, the faces of Chen Tianyu and the others grew grim.

These wolves weren't just any ordinary pack; they had entered the Blood Coagulation Realm, with some even reaching the late stage. Their towering forms loomed over the clan members, exuding raw power even before making a move.

Though the clan members were unharmed, the previous wave of Body Tempering Realm wolves had already drained their qi and blood. Facing these new, more formidable wolves, a heavy pressure settled over the warriors.

Nevertheless, the clan members remained silent. They knew they hadn't yet used their full strength.

Unnoticed by anyone, one figure was missing from the group—Chen Qingyu, who had been sitting among them.

The blue-eyed wolves, no longer howling, charged at the clan members with immense force.

Most of the clan members present were at the early stage of the Blood Coagulation Realm, making it difficult for them to withstand such a direct assault. But just as the wolves closed in, an unusual sound erupted from the clan members' bodies.

Bang!

Bang!
Bang!
...

A series of explosive noises rang out as their organs burst, triggering a surge in their cultivation levels. For example, Chen Tianjing and others advanced straight into the late stage of the Blood Coagulation Realm. Those at the early stage of the Blood Coagulation Realm broke through to the middle stage after just one organ explosion.

Yet even this wasn't enough. The green wolves, despite lacking martial techniques, possessed such immense physical strength that their brute force made them formidable opponents.

Bang!

Several more explosive sounds followed.

The warriors who had just reached the middle stage of the Blood Coagulation Realm broke through again, entering the late stage after exploding four organs. With all six of their Blood Coagulation Realm warriors now in the late stage, their aura surged, overwhelming the attacking green wolves.

"Once, twice, three times, and then they falter."

The clan members who had used the Five Viscera Ascension Technique couldn't maintain it for long. This time, they knew they had to eliminate the wolf pack entirely. Abandoning their defense, they went on the offensive, catching the green wolves off guard.

The wolves, accustomed to slaughtering their prey, were taken aback by the counterattack. However, they did not retreat.

The two sides collided in a fierce melee.

"Qinghe, do you think we should go out and help our father and the others?" Chen Qingmeng whispered, cautiously observing the battle from behind a tree.

Chen Qinghe, having led his brother to hide during the Blood Coagulation Realm wolves' attack, answered confidently, "No need. I trust my father and the others. Besides, there's also Brother Qingyu!"

He glanced around, searching for Chen Qingyu's figure.

"Hmm? Where's Brother Qingyu? Have you seen him?" Chen Qinghe's confidence faltered as he scanned the area.

"I think I saw Brother Qingyu go toward the direction of the wolf howl earlier," Chen Qingmeng replied.

At that, Chen Qinghe's certainty wavered. If Chen Qingyu wasn't around, their clan members and father might indeed be in danger.

"Qinghe, should we go and help?"

"No," Chen Qinghe said firmly, shaking his head. "We’ve just reached the middle stage of the Body Tempering Realm. Even if we explode our organs, we won't break into the Blood Coagulation Realm. All the beasts out there are at that level. It would be suicide."

"Then what should we do? Just stay here and watch?" Chen Qingmeng asked, growing anxious.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Chen Qinghe thought for a moment before shaking his head again. "No. We can still help by collecting the bodies."

He looked at his brother, his tone serious. "Think about it. When my father and the others are exhausted, they won't be able to return to our family without the help of the Divine Tree. They’ll be like corpses—and that's when we can step in."

Chen Qingmeng nodded thoughtfully, realizing the wisdom in his brother's words. The two brothers remained hidden, carefully observing the battle.

Under the clear moonlight, a green wolf stood on a flat plateau in the middle of the Chaotic Burial Mountain, watching the distant commotion. Smaller than the Blood Coagulation Realm wolves, it nevertheless exuded an air of calm and serenity. Its fur gleamed under the moon's light, and its every movement spoke of vitality and strength.

As it observed the battle, the wolf let out another howl, seemingly issuing orders to its pack. But then, it froze, its head snapping around as it sensed something.

"Finally found you."

A voice rang in its ear, and the wolf’s eyes narrowed, recognizing the human who had been spared in their previous encounter.

Though the wolf had never shown itself before, issuing commands from afar, it now found its attention drawn to the approaching figure. Despite its prior caution, the wolf’s posture grew tense as it recognized the power emanating from the human before it.

The Wolf King was no fool; he had survived countless dangers to lead his pack. Yet now, for the first time, he was facing an opponent who would not be so easily ignored.
