She Belongs To The Devil

Chapter 704 See You Soon

"Mom! What are you saying?" Ariel hastily gave a questioning glance to her mother.

And she replied to Adeline instead of Kenneth, "They didn't get into any fight. We were all having a normal duel. But since Damien and Kenneth were unfamiliar with each other's abilities, they ended up hurting each other. It wasn't intentional."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Is that so?" Adeline pressed her lips together and nodded. She believed what her daughter said.

She then asked with a little curiosity, "When did Damien join you all, by the way?"

"Yesterday evening," Ariel replied.

And she also made it clear to her mother that everyone in the Drayston Castle was aware of Damien's presence there, "Kenneth's father was kind enough to extend the welcome for Damien as well. Damien stayed there in the Castle with us. And he will be joining us all on our trip."

"And how is he doing? You didn't force him to join you, right?" Adeline asked her daughter, knowing all too well how she could get stubborn at times.

"Of course, I did not force him! He is adapting well. Zach and the twins happily welcomed him. And we all talked until after midnight." Ariel looked down and softly said, "He apologized to all of us."

Adeline then asked, "And did you forgive him? You shouldn't hold grudges for long if he came to you and apologized, even though he took his sweet time in doing so."

Ariel gave a subtle smile and nodded.

Adeline was happy to know that Ariel and Damien had resolved their problems. "That's good then."

Ariel sharply inhaled when she suddenly remembered how Kenneth's guards were accusing her of trying to murder their Crown Prince. She looked at Adeline and said, "Mom, we need to–"

Theodore and Damien teleported back inside.

And when Ariel saw the two of them, she instantly got up on her feet and said to everyone, "I think we should head back now. The guards were getting the wrong idea when they saw Kenneth earlier. I was in a hurry so I teleported him here without saying anything. The situation there might get worse if we don't return soon."

Theodore gave a nod and agreed, "If that is the case then you better hurry back. Misunderstandings should be cleared faster."

Kenneth instantly got up on his feet and bowed to Adeline and Theodore. And he reassured them, "I will take care of things back at home. You don't have to worry about anything."

He then went and stood by Ariel's side. And he asked Ariel, "Let's head back now. If the news about you teleporting me somewhere unknown gets to my father then it will take a longer time to sort everything out."

Ariel frantically nodded her head and then glanced at Damien.

And Damien also bowed to Theodore and Adeline. And he went and stood beside Ariel.

He glanced at Adeline and said, "Your Majesty, I didn't even get to properly greet you earlier. Please excuse me for my rudeness. I will take a leave for now but I will come back along with Ariel."

Adeline went and stood in front of Damien. She gave a warm hug to Damien. And she said with a smile, "I will get angry with you if you don't come back. We have a lot to talk about."

She then stood in front of Ariel and asked her daughter before sending her away, "Apart from the unfortunate accident that happened in the duel, you are having fun, aren't you?"

Ariel gave a bright smile and said, "Yes, I am having a lot of fun. I will tell everything to you in detail when I return."

"I can't wait to hear all about your adventure." Adeline heaved a sigh and kissed her daughter on her forehead. And she whispered, "I missed you so much. See you soon."

Ariel hugged her mother and whispered back, "I missed you too. I wish I could stay here for a little longer. But I really have to go."

"It's okay. Like your dad said, you need to sort things out sooner." Adeline caressed her daughter's hair and asked, "You know you can always teleport to the Palace if you feel homesick, right?"

Ariel squinted her eyes and whispered with a playful smile on her face, "I know. But I am enjoying my time there. So I don't think I will teleport here again before officially ending the trip."

Adeline laughed at what Ariel said. She had hoped that Ariel would keep on visiting at least once a day. But she didn't mind it since Ariel was saying that she was having a lot of fun. "Alright then, young lady. See you after a few weeks. Take care of yourself and others."

"I will," Ariel smiled at her mother and then turned to look at her father.

Theodore came and gave a hug to his daughter. He whispered while gently stroking her back, "Take care."

Though her father didn't say it, Ariel understood herself. So she replied, "Miss you too, dad."

Ariel then held both Damien and Kenneth's hands. She brightly smiled at her parents and in the next moment, she vanished from the garden.

She took herself and the boys to the common room of the Drayston Castle.

And when they reached there, the room and as well as the surrounding was awfully quiet, unlike how she had imagined. She had thought that the guards would still be there, waiting for their return. But she was very wrong.

"Why is it so quiet? Where is everyone?" Ariel looked at Kenneth in panic.

She pointed at the place where she had left her cousins, and said, "Ramon and Zach were right here."

And she rushed to open the door of Niylah's room, only to see it empty. "And Niylah was in her room."

"Did the guards take her and the boys somewhere?" She feared that the King had already done something bad to her cousins.

Kenneth was also panicking. But he reassuringly patted Ariel's shoulder and then said, "Don't worry. I will look for them."

And he immediately swooshed away from the common room.
