"Nathan. We're done over he—" Selena and Amphitrite entered the temporary clinic where he, Anubis, and the doctor treated a child.

The boy was accompanied by his parents.

"To heal him and make sure there's no scar, we have no choice but to remove the stitches prematurely. However, I have seen his abilities, so please don't worry. It will be painful for a bit, but you will be completely fine after that," the doctor explained.

"Yes. Please help my child." The mother sat down while gently hugging her child.

"Four on the knee, seven on the waist, and thirteen on the shoulders…" The doctor's expression turned solemn. He treated this kid several days ago after the earthquake struck the village.

"We'll remove the stitch." The doctor approached him and started grabbing one of them, only to be startled by the kid's sudden movement.

"Aaahhh! It hurts. I don't want to do it." The kid wriggled while crying.

"Jean!" The mother frowned.

"It's fine, Jean. I will make it not hurt anymore, all right?" The doctor smiled and restarted.

But when he did it again, the kid twisted its body again. "NO! It hurts. I don't want to do it!"

"Jean! Just be patient for a bit." The mother glared at her child. The boy stopped for a second before crying even louder. "Noooo!"

The doctor smiled wryly, realizing that they couldn't do it.

Anubis' eyebrows twitched. He just wanted to scoop all those stitches and heal him. This way, even if the kid was crying, everything would be finished.

Nathan just stood up and said with a gentle smile, blocking Anubis as if he noticed his frustration. "I guess we can wait for a bit more. I will be staying in the village for at least a week, so you can visit the village in one week until Jean calms down."

The mother opened her mouth. She just couldn't believe her son.

It might be fine if Nathan just refused to treat her child, but what if Nathan wanted to ruin their lives? He was a summoner after all.

"I'm fine. You don't have to worry about it." Nathan nodded, assuring her.

The mother stood up, but because the boy continued crying and she reprimanded him earlier, the boy was extending his hands to his father, wanting to escape from his mother.

The father was confused. He might need to leave this place, but he was afraid to offend Nathan.

Fortunately, Nathan just nodded his head again, showing that he was fine with him leaving.

The father lowered his head to apologize and immediately came out while the mother was frustrated.

"That kid… He should have just sucked it up a bit. It's going to be fine." She bit her lips. "I'm sorry, sir Summoner."

"Ahahaha." Nathan let out a hollow laugh as if he was never concerned with it. "You don't have to worry about it, ma'am. As I said, I will be here for at least a week, so you can just do it a week from now.

"Just looking at his wound, I know that he has endured a lot of pain in the past few days. However, the fact that you're still angry and frustrated means you still care about him.

"You and your husband must have been doing your best or even enduring a lot of sleepless nights to take care of him. Compared to that, this is nothing.

"I'm fine, so you should go with your husband and son. We can do it again after your son forgets his pain a bit." Nathan gave a gentle smile, showing that he didn't mind about it.

The mother was surprised, while the doctor was just smiling. Even he was frustrated by the kid, despite experiencing it a lot of times as a doctor.

However, Nathan actually controlled his emotions better than him. He looked more like a doctor than him.

Even Anubis sighed, thinking, 'I have received a bit of his memory during the summoning, but wasn't he from a broken family?

'He never received any love from both of his parents. Both of them were jerks, yet he could still treat other people like this… Maybe he just didn't want to become someone like them. Nevertheless…' Anubis ultimately smiled.

Obviously, the one who was captivated the most was none other than Selena. She had been watching him this whole time while leaning on the entrance.

Amphitrite glanced at her summoner, who was completely smitten by him. She just shook her head and let out a sigh. Even the hatred in her heart regarding a cheating man was a bit swayed after watching him.

"Is that all for today?" Nathan asked, not knowing why people were stunned. "What's wrong?"

"Ah!" The doctor snapped back. "Yes. That should be all for now. I will check them once again and ensure everyone stays warm. As for their places, I can't do anything for the time being."

"In that case, please ask the village chief about it. I'm going back to the main village soon since I need to check the mountain. If he has time, I will visit him. There are a lot of questions in my mind."

"I understand." The doctor nodded. "I will relay the message to the village chief. Please stay here and get some rest."

"Sure." Nathan waved his hand. Once the doctor left, he couldn't help but look at Selena. "What are you doing here? Is everything done in the warm house?"

"Yes. I have checked their conditions, and all the frostbite patients have recovered just fine."

"That's good. If you were to govern this village, what would you do?" Nathan asked. She was a noble, and the most likely person to deal with all this stuff if they truly became a family, so he wanted to hear her opinion.

"I will just move them to the main village and construct a temporary shelter due to the emergency until I figure out what to do. If we separate the two villages, the doctor might face a mishap on the way, since he will probably need to go back and forth."

Nathan smiled. "That's a good idea. We'll go back after this and enjoy the hot spring. It must be tiring today."

"Oh. Before that…" Selena just hugged him.

"What's this? What happens?" Nathan was startled, wondering if something had gone wrong.

He couldn't see a big smile on her face. "Nothing."
