Chapter 312: A Promise to Save
Chapter 312: A Promise to Save
Terra took a deep breath, her body trembling slightly from the strain of channeling such immense power.
She opened her eyes, now glowing with a faint, otherworldly light, and gazed down at the completed elixir.
With a wave of her hand, the elixir entered the bottle that once contained the World Tree sap, and the procedure was completed.
"It is done," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. The elixir pulsed with a gentle, steady rhythm, as if it were alive.
Alister's gaze never left the vial, his eyes narrowing as he examined the creation.
"The Omnipotent Elixir," he murmured, his voice a touch of awe and sadness.
He reached out, grasping the bottle as he took a closer look.
A system window appeared with the item' so details

Alister smiled as he looked at the description in the system window, the name 'Omnipotent Elixir' glowing softly. He could feel the weight of the moment, the culmination of everything he had worked toward. Turning his gaze to Terra, he nodded with approval.
"You've done well, Terra," he said.
Terra's eyes softened at the praise, a smile appearing on her face. "Thank you, my lord," she replied, her voice filled with pride.
Alister's smile faded slightly as his thoughts drifted. His fingers tightened around the vial, and he murmured to himself, more to the elixir than anyone else.
"Miyu... your brother did it. He's coming to save you."
Later that night... Back in the White Comet Guild.
The massive doors to the alchemy lab hissed open, releasing the usual cloud of cool fog that billowed out into the hallway.
The scent of potions and chemical reactions filled the air, a blend of magic and science that made the space feel alive.
As the fog parted, the alchemists inside noticed the figure standing in the doorway, they had black hair, yellow eyes and wore the white and blue guild uniform but with a black jacket on top of it. Murmurs began to ripple through the lab.
"Hey, is that Alister?"
"Yeah, it is!"
"What's he doing here?"
Alister stepped through the threshold, his eyes looking around the lab. He took in the sight of bubbling vials, glowing formulas, and the alchemical energy filling the room. His gaze shifted, finding Erika who was nearby.
Erika's eyes widened when she noticed him. Her mouth dropped in surprise.
"It's you... What are you doing-"
THUD!
Before she could even take a step toward him, she misjudged her footing.
She crashed face-first into the floor with an audible slap. The surrounding alchemists burst into quiet chuckles at the spectacle, but their laughter faded when they saw Alister approach.
"Erika."
Alister called as he quickly crossed the distance between them.
Erika winced, her face scrunching up in mild pain as she rubbed her forehead. She pushed herself up, trying to regain some composure, her cheeks flushing in embarrassment.
"Ow, that hurt..." she groaned.
"I'm fine... really," she muttered, giving him a half-smile. "I'm used to falling around like that by now."
Alister couldn't help but smile faintly, offering his hand to help her to her feet. "I see."
As she stood up, Erika glanced over to the side, and her eyes locked onto something-or rather, someone... else. A woman in gleaming black ans white armor stood nearby, her long silver hair going down her back.
Horns protruded from her head, and a tail swayed gently behind her, matching the color of her armor. There was an almost regal aura about her, something that made her stand out.
It was Cinder.
Erika's eyes widened in awe, and she mumbled under her breath, her voice barely a whisper. "Wow... You're even more gorgeous up close in person."
Cinder tilted her head slightly, her silver hair shimmering in the light as she gazed at Erika.
"I acknowledge the compliment."Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"Though, I must admit, I'm not particularly pleased it came from a human."
Erika blinked in surprise, unsure of how to respond. She opened her mouth, but before she could say anything, Alister's voice interrupted.
"Erika," Alister called, his tone calm but firm. "I need to speak with Team Leader Elise."
Erika snapped her gaze to him, a slight frown on her face. She nodded, stepping aside. "Right away, Alister," she said, clearly understanding the gravity of his request.
Cinder's eyes lingered on the two of them for a moment, her tail swishing ever so slightly behind her as she observed their exchange.
Alister, unfazed by Cinder's earlier remark, turned toward Erika. "Lead the way."
Erika gave one last glance at Cinder before nodding and leading Alister through the alchemy
lab.
As they walked trough the lab, Erika couldn't help but glance over at Alister, her curiosity piqued by his request to see Team Leader Elise. She paused for a moment before asking.
"Why do you want to see her, Alister?"
Alister's gaze remained forward, he exhaled a quiet sigh, as if weighing his words. "I just want her to bring my sister out of that glass cylinder she's in."
Erika blinked, surprised by his request. "But... why? Isn't that supposed to help with her condition until she creates a cure?"
Alister stopped walking for a moment, his gaze settling on her with a look of impatience.
"Erika..."
"...The questions are getting unnecessary. Just lead me to her. That's all I need."
Erika, caught off guard by the sudden shift in Alister's demeanor, nodded quickly.
She didn't push further, sensing that this was something deeply personal to him. "Right. I'll take you to her."
