After hearing about Nangong Yin's wicked deeds, Ling Feng felt an urge to just walk away. This guy truly lives up to his name. He might as well be called Nangong the Lustful instead!

Why bother saving someone like that? So he could harm more people in the future?

"What a disgrace!" Qiao Qiao spat, equally disgusted. As a woman, she naturally despised Nangong Yin's behavior of exploiting women.

"Scum!"

"A complete bastard!"

Everyone around couldn't stop cursing.

"Well, he's got a powerful father, doesn't he?" Only Yu Qian defended him and sneered, "Being a prince of the Tianyang Empire, it's understandable that he's arrogant."

Ling Feng snorted. If Yu Qian had a powerful father like Nangong Yin, he'd probably be no better than that scoundrel.

"This issue could spark a war between two nations. Even though Nangong Yin's character is indeed questionable, we have to rescue him first before making any decisions," Yue Yunlan said, biting her lip. Sometimes, for the sake of the bigger picture, one had to sacrifice their principles.

In normal circumstances, Yue Yunlan wouldn't just refuse to save Nangong Yin. She'd probably kill him herself with her sword. But because of his unique status, and the fact that the Tianyang Empire was willing to wage war over him, her hands were tied.

"Hmph, we really have to save such a piece of scum?" Qiao Qiao's displeasure was written all over her face. She hated evil, especially the kind that preyed on women.

"Alright, alright, national matters come first," Yue Yunlan sighed. Ling Feng could see the conflict in her heart, and he silently sympathized. Being part of a large family or clan often meant having to go against your own wishes.

Clenching his fists, Ling Feng set aside his personal feelings and said slowly, "Miss Yue is right. Even though he's a piece of scum, we have to rescue him first!"

"Mhmm," Hong Li nodded in agreement. He glanced cautiously at the despicable donkey and said weakly, "There's no time to waste. I suggest we act tonight, rescue Nangong Yin, and then immediately take him back to the imperial capital. Senior, what do you think?"

"You're asking me?" The despicable donkey shrugged. "Your human affairs have nothing to do with this divine beast!"

Since they were temporary allies, Ling Feng hadn't hidden the despicable donkey's true identity. With a demon emperor-level expert around, the group felt much more confident.

"Ugh..." Hong Li's face stiffened. He hadn't expected such a response from the despicable donkey.

"But..." The despicable donkey's eyes rolled around as he smirked and said, "In this world, money talks. Even a demon emperor has a price. Bring out your treasures. If you can tempt this divine beast, I might just show off my power and help you out."

"Uh..." Hong Li and the others were stunned again. This is outright looting a burning house!

Yue Yunlan bit her lip and reluctantly said, "Senior Divine Donkey, I still have some elemental crystals here." [1]

"Elemental crystals? Nice stuff!" The Despicable Donkey's eyes lit up. "Hand them all over to this divine beast!"

"Take your hoof off those crystals!"

Ling Feng slapped away the donkey's hoof and shot him a glare. "Enough, Despicable Donkey. We're all on the same side here."

"Tsk!" The despicable donkey snorted in disdain while staring at Ling Feng. "You might be on the same side as this girl, but this divine beast isn't!"

Yue Yunlan's face flushed red as she reluctantly handed over a bag of elemental crystals. Only then did the despicable donkey look satisfied, grinning as he said, "Kid, this little girl may be just average looking, but she sure has money. You could become a live-in husband and just live off her, you know?

"And then, you could hand all that money over to this divine beast. Wahahaha..."

"You damn donkey!" Ling Feng wished he could sew that donkey's mouth shut. Even if he were to live off someone, why would he have to hand all the money over to this despicable donkey?!

Yue Yunlan bit back the urge to storm out of the room, gritting her teeth as she said, "Senior Divine Donkey, please stop making such jokes."

"Hmph!" The despicable donkey propped up one hoof, reclining lazily on the side. He wagged his tail leisurely while humming a little tune.

"Bah! No wonder Mr. Ling calls you 'Despicable Donkey.' You're truly unmatched in shamelessness!" Qiao Qiao muttered under her breath.

Soon after, the group gathered to discuss their plan to rescue Nangong Yin. Given his unforgivable behavior, demanding his release outright wasn't likely to work. The other side might not be willing to hand him over, and if a fight broke out, they'd end up helping a villain.

After weighing all the options, they decided that the best plan was to sneak into the Lei family's manor at night and quietly rescue Nangong Yin. It was the most effective way to resolve the situation without causing a bigger mess.

Under the moonlight, five figures streaked through the night, moving with incredible speed.

According to their plan, Ling Feng, Yue Yunlan, Hong Li, the despicable donkey, and Yu Qian, the strongest members, would infiltrate the Lei family manor to rescue Nangong Yin. The others would remain outside to provide support. Once they rescued Nangong Yin, they would leave Duling City immediately to avoid any unforeseen complications.

The group halted in front of a large manor in the southern part of the city. This was the territory of the Lei family, the most powerful force in Duling City.

"Junior Sister, I bribed one of the Lei family's guards. He informed me that Nangong Yin is being held in an underground water prison beneath the rock garden at the center of the manor," Hong Li said, glancing back at Yue Yunlan.

"Mm-hmm. Let's go in," Yue Yunlan nodded slightly. Although Senior Brother Hong Li didn't have extraordinary talent and wasn't much of a talker, he was cautious, efficient, and truly one of her father's most trusted aides.

The five of them leaped into action, dressed in black clothing to blend into the night. Moving swiftly, they seemed to merge with the shadows, making them nearly impossible to detect. Although the manor was heavily guarded with patrols at every turn, their team's strength made the security feel almost nonexistent.

Moving as if there was no one in their way, the five quickly reached the center of the manor where a large rock garden stood. They fumbled around for a while before finally triggering a hidden mechanism, revealing a secret passage.

Without hesitation, Ling Feng jumped in, swiftly knocking out the guards posted at the entrance. It didn't take long for the group to make their way deep into the underground prison.

Sure enough, someone was imprisoned there while bound tightly in chains, their head hanging low as if unconscious.

"Mr. Nangong, is that you?"

Hong Li called out, rushing to the entrance of the cell. He couldn't believe how smoothly the rescue plan was going.
