Chapter 195 Dreamer's Log
[Time Left: 30 Days, 2 Hours]

Now that I thought about it, all three of my new Exclusive Skills were related to dreams.
Since I got them from the door leading to <Dream>, it made sense that they would fall under that aspect. But… what of the other door?
What of <Nightmare>?
Was there another Exclusive Skill I was yet to unlock that would be related to <Nightmare>? If so… what would it be?
'No. Let's not think about it too much. I should just be grateful for what I get.'
<Nightmare> was intensely powerful, and it had gotten me out of a fair share of situations where I would have been doomed otherwise. However, its drawback was too much.
If I got a Skill derived from <Nightmare>, I would expect the same results.
'These three Exclusive Skills already have limitations and risks. I can only imagine what kind of dangers Nightmare-based abilities would invoke in exchange for their power.'
In any case, I had inadvertently confirmed that there were more Exclusive Skills to unlock. After not getting any new Exclusive Skill, a part of me had given up on them completely, but now I had something to look forward to in that respect.
'And now… it's time for the final piece that I've been saving for last.'
Of my items equipped, there was one that appeared brand new. It was an item I obtained in the Hidden Quest as well.
'The Dreamer's Log.'
As soon as I thought of it, a bright light manifested in front of me, and something began to materialize.
It was coated in pitch black, with red sparks floating around it. What I would assume to be the Dreamer's Log didn't manifest as a journal, or a book… but as something else.
It was a System Window, and it cackled with power as it dislayed its contents before me.
[The Dreamer's Log (Vol. 1)]
<Welcome Back, Dreamer>
~This is the Dreamer's Log, a journal that records and displays the events that have occurred in your past dreams, in order to reflect the seen future. As this is only the first volume, it contains contents from only the first year of your journey~
<Disclaimer: The future is ever-changing, so do not fully rely on the contents of this journal.>
[Do you wish to proceed to read the Log?]
'Ahh… this is unbelievable.'
While receiving Skills, Items, Titles, and other useful things in this Floor, this journal was the highlight of everything I had gotten thus far.
It provided me with something I had been struggling with for too long.
A proper glimpse into the future.
'For 10 years I have had dreams about this stuff. I wish I had taken them seriously then, but I didn't. If I can use this to recall, and also to plan ahead… it'll be a game-changer.'
Of course, I knew some things wouldn't be the same in this reality as it would be in the log.
Given my presence in the Lyma Family, a great deal of the future had already been changed. Plus, The Alliance, which was now my enemy, was a group that was made by me in the past… I think.
It was all fuzzy, but I was at least certain it wasn't the kind of group it was now.
And, it was created much later than the present.
'My last memory of them is that the remnant of us challenged the 98th Floor, and only I made it to the Boss Room. Everyone else perished in the ice.'
Yes. I remembered that part well.
Yet, this same Alliance served as my enemy currently. Something was clearly wrong, and if I had to guess, I would say it had to do with Francis, who now operated as their leader.
That Francis guy was the problem.
'Okay, let's put that on hold for now and focus on the Dreamer's Log.' I sighed and looked at the screen again.
Considering I had spent over a month in this place, and a week in the Tutorials, the Journal still had almost 11 months of content left for me to consume.
That was a lot.
'Since they're somehow based on the journals I used to keep as a kid, and this is only the first volume, there must be others out there. I'll need to get my hands on them as soon as possible.'
The more I knew about the future, the more careful I would be with my actions. Whether it would be because I wanted to maintain the future… or because I desired to change it.
'The sooner I know about the future, the better I can prepare.'n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Despite my excitement, I couldn't help but feel a dark cloud within me as I thought about the events leading to this moment; and how I had obtained the Dreamer's Log.
'I wonder what the others got when they cleared the Hidden Quest.' They couldn't have gotten abilities and items exclusive to me, so they would have most likely obtained boosts in their own powers as well.
I could imagine how powerful those with combat-oriented abilities would be if they got even more of a boost in their already powerful Skills.
'That's why I can't get complacent. I have to master my abilities as soon as possible, and capitalize on my knowledge of the future. That's what will give me an edge against the others.'
I couldn't be conceited in my approach.
"I'm not special. I'm just one of the many who recieved Roles and Skills based on that.'
I was just fortunate that my specific abilities had allowed me to last this long.
Otherwise… I would have already been dead from long ago.
There was only one thing left to do for me after this moment, in preparation for the Second Floor, at the very least.
'I need to Level Up, improve my Skills, buy better Items, upgrade my current Items and Skills, and learn more about this world and my place in it.'
All of these could be summed up as one thing.
"I have to get stronger."

The Arc isn't over yet, but we're slowly reaching the climax.
It's a pretty short Arc compared to the second, but I hope you enjoyed it, and you're curious about what the future holds.
Thanks for reading.
Cheers!
