The Dreamer's POV

Chapter 267 A Torch From Within [Pt 1]

With True Star and Flame Torch activated, I was closer to being an atomic bomb than a man.

"Flame Touch!"

The flames that I had siphoned, amplified even more by my fiery body burst out from my hands in a jet of explosive energy.

The blast spiralled as it came at the two ghostwave mutant that stood adjacent to me. They seemed rather unbothered by it, they were far from wary, and why should they be wary? They were facing a fly after all.

A Suphas thrust up its trident, and the earth heeded its call and rose in a wall formation that came in front of them both.

BOOM!n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

My flamy tornado attack struck the wall, and the collision generated a force that threatened to blast me away. With Draconic Body, I was reckless enough not to care about having Haven over me, it seemed more of a hindrance than protection in that form.

Amid the chaos and smoke, a piercing blast came for me, and so did many others. I activated teleportation instinctively, shifting between positions and avoiding the attacks, and as the smoke cleared, I heard the ground shake, and one of the ghostwave mutants burst forth from the cloud and in no time was right in front of me.

It raised its trident, going for a thrust, the problem was, unfortunately, I had seen this move five seconds earlier, and I zoomed above, escaping the blow. Draconic Body and Dragon Eyes greatly boosted my senses, and with them active, I could react better to things thrown my way, and in a sense, I was faster, much faster in the form, a shame that the form burned so much energy that long use just wasn't sustainable.

I was right up by its face. These creatures were weak to lightning, and chances were that they were vulnerable to flames as well. The forger suffered a nasty burn when I struck it with lightning, and a clone thought to block my attack rather than just take it head on. Find adventures at empire

I coated my body in lightning, streaks of blue licking my skin, and then I zoomed forward, aiming for a soft part. In its case, every part of it seemed soft, however I was hoping its eyeballs were even softer as I zoomed and struck its plain white eyeball, and then sunk into it, like an insect boring into a fruit.

The clone backstepped, almost stumbling, and arching its neck backwards, its head bobbed while I was still in, and I almost got thrown out. It was obvious that the clone was in pain, and it fought to get rid of me, but it couldn't. The other clones simply watched as it strangely moved.

I sank quickly into it, and once I realized that I was at a significant depth, I did what this body knew best, I went aflame, combusting within the creature's head. I was certain that the others could see how flames erupted from me and then spread, eating the flesh that was in place.

The clone suddenly stopped, its once white bulbous head was now shrunken and black, and it fell.

Seeing that I had written its fate, I made an opening of my own through it as I tore through its neck.

BOOM

Its body just struck the ground, and I turned to see the giant I fell. I turned back to the others and I smirked, I was certain I came off as arrogant then, and that was what I was hoping for.

The others felt insulted by this and stopped their watching, they immediately transitioned from spectators to hunters. However, now, I have been let on a secret, and that was that they would burn when set aflame, they were weak to flames, and in this form, I felt that I could burn away a city.

I noticed, none seemed to throw any energy attack my way.

'Has it gotten to that point? Are they conserving energy?' I thought. That seemed to be the only logic I could think of at that time, if any thing, I knew, Suphas loved spamming its energy attacks.

Knowing that frankly assured me that I still had some game in this, though the chances were low, I could still fight, and I could still survive.

Rocks jutted up and curved my way, but again they were predictable, and I could probably evade them even without the visualize move.

I went aflame, holding combustion on my skin and then stormed like a meteor. I didn't care any longer, I was going to bore my way through all of them as I did with the first.

One came in front of me and sought to thrust its trident. I didn't care about defending against the move, and in many cases, offense was often the best defense, and I felt that it was so that moment as I zoomed, escaping the thrust, and then crashed into the chest of the ghostwave mutant. I went through it seamlessly, the skin of the area I went through blackened instantly for meters in radius, and just like the first, I released all the pent up feelings of rage, destruction and chaos that vied within me, storming flames within its chest.

It seemed that I was more intense with my flamy attack here, either that or the chest was a lot less durable than the head. The chest burst open and tore away from its torso over the force of my flames, and both parts fell to the ground.

It died the instant its chest torched, and its body blackened and shrunk greatly, it was reduced to about half of its original size, I turned and saw that it was the same with the other one as well.

"Two out of sixteen, I only need to do this fourteen more times." I muttered feeling a lot more confident than I was at the beginning of the fight.

"Who wants to be next?!" I asked, yelling.
