Chapter 397 Trapped.
"Your offspring will make good slaves." The old Fae stared at Grecia, watching her head slowly dip as those words settled into her mind. "Do not be disheartened, there have been many before you, Chieftan Whies treats his maidens fairly, and you will not be alone-"
"Kill me instead." Grecia raised her eyes to the woman, staring at the woman with tears brimming at the corners. "Kill me, or I will kill you and everyone you know."
"If you subject me to that life I will kill every other maiden I come across, I will raze this entire colony to the ground and bathe myself in the blood of your children and elderly, so hear my words and take them to your soul and grave," Grecia stared at her, passive of emotion despite the blood-chilling threat which had caused the woman to stare at her in shock.
"I swear it on my mana, I swear it on my strength, I swear on Master Vestic's name, if you dare to subject me to the life of a breeder, your tribe will go extinct, I will expend the very lifeforce within my body to kill every last one of you..." She spoke in monotone.
"You have been captive for over a year, your strength is meagre, you are no match for-"
"I will kill everything." Grecia stared at her, her eyes slowly widening as her heart began racing with adrenaline. "I do not need mana, my fists are enough." She began pulling at the chains, and for a moment it seemed like nothing was happening, but when the old Fae woman smirked and attempted to reach for her, the wall behind Grecia began trembling and groaning.
"Feed me the nectar, take my mana." Grecia continued staring as the shackles cut into her flesh and she began bleeding. "I will not resist if all you take is my mana."
"We hold four of you captive, you would not cause trouble while we have their lives in our hands-"
"Then kill them and motivate me, go ahead, they will understand," Grecia countered, clenching her teeth when the shackles began peeling the skin from her wrists and the wall began trembling violently. "Give me a reason."
"...Drink." The old Fae carefully took the sapling and placed it at Grecia's mouth, watching the once docile woman go meek again as she relaxed and drank from the bud, spilling none and then sitting as her wounds and cuts healed.
"Thank you for the meal."
"And you?" The woman looked at Yu. "The Chieftain also-"
"I will overcharge my remaining mana and detonate it before I allow anyone to lay their hands on me. "You should know, Master Vestic will come looking for us," She threatened the woman before she even finished speaking, answering with malice dripping from her tongue.
"And when he does, there will be nothing left of this place, I promise you."
"This is such a rotten batch," The old Fae began laughing. "One thinks they can kill us, another rejects sacred nectar and treats it with disgust, their leader is useless, and the other wants to destroy her body using her mana, yet they think we are the savage ones?" She continued laughing, and then from the dark of the walls the four started hearing other laughter as well.
"Foolish women, I will deliver your threats to my Chieftain, he will be glad to strip you of your pride and make you all his women, except for that one," She pointed at Jena. "That one will be executed before the other defiant prisoners, used as an example and her corpse paraded as a warning."
"We will see what your missing master will do if he ever gets here."
After threatening them, the old Fae woman left, not even bothering to give the nectar to Yu and releasing the bud which quickly receded into the ceiling of their cave and went dim again.
"What now?" Grecia asked. "I used a lot of strength to put on that show, these restraints limit my power to that of a beginner cultivator, I can barely move anymore," She admitted, hearing Jena sobbing over the sound of the light humming coming from the walls around them.
"We have to escape from these people, I have a feeling that if they remove us from this cave we will have no way of resisting what comes next, the same way none of us, not even Jena was able to see through their lies in the beginning." Yu answered first.
"They will seal our strength and mana completely, we will become weak and defenceless," Jena spoke up. "But do not worry, Master will come, believe me."
"Did you sense him again?" Fuhua asked, raising her head and staring at the girl through her hair.
"No, I did not, however, I am now certain that what I sensed before was Master, he is awake again, and he is searching for us." Jena responded with a light smile which slowly turned to a frown. "Until then, we need to devise a way to buy time or try and escape."
"Understood." Grecia replied first. "I believe I am the least essential member here, if we are left without any choice then I should be the one to offer myself-"n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Perish the thought, I disagree entirely!" Jena hissed, while Yu and Fuhua shook their heads, disagreeing alongside the girl. "You are the only chance we have, in contrast to your belief."
"What?"
"Your strength, I know this is asking a lot, but you have a lot more physical strength without the aid of mana than the three of us combined, you very nearly broke free a few minutes ago, it would severely harm you, but if you can do that again then we will have a better chance." Jena stared at Grecia with her eyes brimming full of hope, something none of them had seen since their capture.
"The chains weaken us, and the sediment inside of the walls further dampen our strength and mana, but if you somehow manage to break free..."

"Why won't you let me leave?" Sol asked, he had tried everything in his arsenal already, his attacks disappeared in the void, his attempts at escaping all saw him getting sent back to the asteroid, he had tried so many different tactics and in such rapid succession that he had begun to strain his body and mana. "What do you want from me?"
"Just a companion, someone to pass the time with," He heard the voice again, unable to sense the master behind the words wherever he lay.
"Please, I have people to save, I cannot stay here, they need me-"
"If I set you free, you will never return."
"That is true!" Sol admitted.
"If you leave, then I will be all alone again, until someone else wanders too close and I am able to trap them here."
"That may also be true!" Sol snapped irritated. "But what kind of company will you have with a prisoner, I will exhaust myself every waking second until I die and I will never be good company, I will curse you, I will agonise until my very last breath."
"That should be fine though, at least there will be activity, I cannot leave this place where I have total control, so I can only observe others while they are here, the Fae stay away, and nobody else will come near me either."
"Are you...?" Sol slowly turned on his heel until he was once again staring at the white dwarf star in the middle of the small system.
"Indeed, I am trapped inside of this prison, left here by one greater than myself, doomed to an eternity of solitude."
"Reveal your Cultivation to me," Sol demanded, feeling an oppressive force weighing on his chest as soon as he said it.
"You dare order me around, little man?" The voice called.
"Are you going to kill me and be alone again?" Sol pouted. "I have things to do and places to be, but I may be able to help, so shut up and reveal yourself!"
"... Brave one, what is your name?" The voice asked after a few seconds of silence.
"I won't say a word more, I will sever my vocal cords and prevent myself from moving until you do as I say," Sol pouted, placing his hand on his neck and leaving a seal on his throat. and then hugging himself and falling to the ground, mimicking a rock.
"I have been here for an eternity, do you think that the silent treatment will work on me?"
"..."
"Hey."
"..."
"Say something, I may destroy you otherwise."
*** One day later***
"Very well."
Sol began feeling the presence within the star, and immediately, a smile graced his face but he still remained silent and motionless until he had a complete grasp of the prisoner that was holding him prisoner.
"I will break you free and take you with me." Sol sat up, staring towards the star. "I have a condition though."
"It is impossible to free me, I was trapped here by someone beyond the Heavenly Transcendent Realm, there is nothing you can do against this barrier, it is unbreakable."
"Will you hear me out or not?" Sol replied. "This is my only chance, my only option, so I am taking it, otherwise I will go silent again and slumber for the rest of my life here.
"...Then tell me, what is your condition?"
"When I free you, you will become my servant, swear on your mana that you will not run away or try to harm me and I will free you no matter how long it takes, since freeing you is also freeing myself." Sol rested his hands akimbo. "How's that for a deal?"
"Rude and brazen little bastard, unable to judge the clouds from the heavens; how dare you demand my service for-"
"What do you have to lose?" Sol snapped. "I am stuck here unless I free you!" He balled his fist and began shaking it. "If I fail, I will remain here, that is how you benefit, so either way, I promise, you will have a companion out of me."
"Then you will call me Big Brother Xie."
"What?" Sol paused.
"I will swear on my soul and mana, if you free me I will accompany you and refer to you as Master, but if you fail then you will call me Brother Xie and remain here forever."
"Deal-"
"And you will only get one chance."
"What?" Sol shook again from fright.
"I offer you one chance, if you fail you will never try to escape again, you will stay here without complaint, ignorant of the world outside, that is my one condition."
"That is my only condition."
