The World's most Overpowered Side-Character

Chapter 403 A Passionate Reunion pt 1: His Consorts.

"It must be a trick from Umbra," Arla suggested, snapping her little book shut and looking around. "My sigils are still dormant, as are Dina's-"

"But Talia's are reacting as well," Dina countered while the two of them approached Ikaris quickly.

"It may trule be..." Sara shook her head, taking smaller steps towards them while they congregated around Ikaris and began observing her mana and sigils.

"Milady," Alpha appeared at Ikaris's side, causing everyone to almost gasp; this was the first time since Sol's disconnection a year pror that she had show herself. "If you will allow a small window, I wish to attempt a connection directly, if it truly master then-"

"It is without a doubt, Sol Vestic." Ikaris answered all of their doubts, but unlike the smiles they were all sharing, Ikaris was serious when she said it. "The longer this link tries to find me the more sure I am, only his mana is this persistent, it will seek every diension until it figures out where I am."

"Then let us go to master-"

"Stay your excitement," Ikaris nearly snapped at Arla. "Calm down."

"But..." Dina was sbout to pick up where Arla left off but was shut down with nothing but a glare from Ikaris as well. "Ikaris-"

"All of you, stand down and be quiet," Ikaris handed Talia into Sara's arms and turned her back to them, extending her hand toward the large opening her and Takia were using to train just a few minutes ago.

"Master, is something wrong?" Fuhua asked Sol, seeing his light recede and feeling an uneasiness within him as he stared at a space before them.

"No, nothing is wrong, it's just; Ikaris has already sensed my mana, I can clearly feel her, but..."

"Why is she not responding?" Yu made the connection apparent. "Master, she may be in doubt, you promised to return in a month, yet it has been a year without word, and Jena was sealed in less than a month's time severing the system's thin connection and leaving you lost."

"She knows its me." Sol adamantly refused to believe that bit about doubt. "The same as I sense her, she can also feel me." He stopped talking when a golden thread of mana whisked past him and stiffened before all of them, and then slowly that thread began tearing space apart.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"This is your doing, Sovereign?" Xie asked, but then saw the look of shock on Sol's face and retracted his question with a scoff.

Sol looked like a man in troubke to him, he may not have had a lot of time for relationships because of the many wars he had been through but he knew that expression quite well, he had seen his father wear it a lot when he was young.

"Mom!" Jena snapped as soon a the tearing rift opened a little, she was going to disappear, but her and everyone else aside from Sol froze when Alpha appeared before Sol.

"What is this sensation?" Yu asked, almost shaking whsn she realised the presence that Alpha possessed, it was nothing like Jena's presence that made you feel at ease; this little maid felt like merely speaking out of turn would result in your immediate demise.

"Alpha." Sol greeted her, raising his hand and resting it on her head when she quickly approached and stood before him with her forehead pressed to his abdomen. "How have you been-"

"I have missed you dearly, Master," The maid spoke without him even finishing his speech. "Nothing has been the same without your light!" She raised her voice, and Sol huffed, placing his other hand on her shoulder and hugging her.

"I'm sor-"

"Sol!!" Dina came next, violently grabbing the edges of the slowly gaping rift and tearing it open with ease, flying through and missing the presence of everyone else when all of her sigils began brightly glowing with his reconnection to her mana. "Master!!" She screamed, crashing into him and crying out.

"D-Dina!" Sol grabbed her, holding her tightly with his eyes closed, for him, no significant time had passed, but when their mana locke on to each other and tethered again, Sol felt a thisrt he had not experienced before get immediately quenched.

"Waaaah!!" Arla came next, crying after her hips got stuck in the rift after it had stopped opening from Dina's action.

"Goodness, please calm down," Grecia grabbed one of her hands, and Yu took another, and together they pulled her through, but again their presences were entirely ignored after the Elf was free, she stumbled through the Void and stopped before him.

"Master," The elf closed her eyes and began slowly approaching, wiping her tears away and reaching out for him. "Master!" She cried again when she saw Sol's hand extend towards her.

"In her usual antics, the elf began wailing as soon as her cheek touched Sol's chest, any good first impresson that she and Dina were supposed to Make with Sol's new student and followers were gone, it was a sloppy, warm greeting from Dina and Arla who could not keep their mana nor their emotion in check.

"Where is Ikaris?" Sol asked after another minute with the rift opening again.

He didn't bother seeking an answer to that question, as soon as he had asked, the rift swelled and grew to the size of a house, and he began feeling a mana signature stronger than Yu's forcing its way from the other side.

"Milady has grown expenontially more powerful since the last time we encountered each other..." Jena stared at the rift in shock.

"This is Ikaris?" Yu had her brows furrowed in surprise as well, the codex had clearly stated that the Goddess of Balance was not yet stronger than she was, but this pressure she was feeling was on the same level as she felt when she fought Sol a year ago, it was overwhelming, utterly terrifying.

"She is beautiful..." Xie stared in disbelief.

"She is scary," Fuhua also stared, moreso in horror than awe, the same as Yu.

"She is mesmerising, utterly breathtaking... am I truly her relative, was it a mistake coming in the presence of this being...Ikaris?" Grecia, was so shocked that rather than speak, her mouth could only hang open while her mind raced a unit per second in admiration and praise.

Her foot appeared first, and with her emergence Atla became visible behind her, Sol never expected to see such a sight, and before he even realised it he was on his way to meet her, releasing Dina and Arla, while Alpha stood next to Jena, ruffling her hair with a smile while the little girl wiped her eyes.

"My goddess," Sol smiled endearingly, floating forward while Ikaris emerging from the outward rift of her soul continued to walk on small mana platforms.

"Your wife greets his Excellence," Ikaris floated towards Sol as well, stopping before him and closing her eyes when his warm hand caressed her cheek. "Sol, my love..." She slowly leaned toward him, placing her hand on his chest and feeling the irregular thumping of his excited heart. Your journey continues at empire

"Ikaris," Sol held her head to his chest, sighing as his hair of brown began turning to gold and her sigils began humming in resonance to his mana filling a space she had not even known was vacant.

"-en?"

"Hm?" Sol leaned his head.

"-been?"

"What was that?" Sol asked again, slightly easing away from her. "Did you say somethi-"

"Where have you been?!" Ikaris snapped, enraged, punching Sol so hard across his jaw that he disappeared from everyone's presence, her mana exploded into being around her, following a path of white spectrums before settling on Gold as she glanced at everyone else. "I will deal with you all later!" She growled at them and then took off towards Sol.

"I saw that coming..." Dina admitted nervously.

"We should save all introductions for after Master and Milady sort their first quarrel." Arla announced, waving her hand and conjuring a group of seats around them all. "Please, take rest and watch closely."

"I am glad this happened in a dead Zone." Alpha sighed, creating breathable space around everyone and conjuring beverages. "Refreshments, anyone?"

"I see now," Xie chuckled, accepting the drink from Alpha without protest." Sovereign Vestic had such an amazing group of individuals waiting for him, no wonder he rushed to return as soon as he woke up."

"Yes, we have yet to have a conversation since his return." Yu answered.

"He was asleep?" Dina asked, not looking at anyone but rather staring through the eyes of the system as Sol dodged and parried all of Ikaris's attacks, every single one.

"He was trapped in the past, inside of the Grey, I think he called it." Xie answered Dina. "You and the Goddess of Balance, I sense similar powers within you as Sovereign."

"Just like Master... just like Sol, I have a divine tree within me, a small collective that has grown over the last year and a half, Ikaris in comparison is now as powerful as he was when he left thanks to the divine tree within herself. "She is incomparable to the rest of us..."

"Your strength..." Fuhua stared at Dina's back. "Celestial Divine." She commented.

"A recent achievement that I was blessed with in the middle of battle." Dina answered, crossing her legs. "You're not bad yourself, and with blessings like those, I can see that Master has taken a liking to you."

"Master's first true Disciple." Arla glanced around at Fuhua. "This will make Dr'ul reel from envy, I see another fight coming soon," She hummed.

"Ikaris, calm down!" Sol blocked her kick, wincing from the force of the attack. "Ikaris!"

"You were gone for over a year, y-you bastard!"
