Chapter 157 Signing the Second company

Noah entered the backroom of the teahouse. He was planning on helping his dad quickly before leaving because he had lots of stuff to do today.

'I can't stay here for too long, so I will try to lower his workload,'

He thought.

Fifteen minutes later...

"Okay, I'm done." He muttered, as he put the last few boxes on the shelves.

He had made a hundred packs of each size, which were ten grams, 50 grams and 100 grams.

These were the most popular packs, whilst 1kg packs were very rare so far.

After sorting them out, Noah headed out of the backroom and to the main reception.

"The line is still quite long," He muttered, as he glanced at the queue.

He looked at David who was still working as hard as before, with a smile on his face.

"Dad, why don't you rest for a while?" He asked.

"It's okay, this is fun, I'm enjoying myself," He replied back, his smile widening as he served another customer.

"Thank you for your purchase, do drop by when you can."

Noah shook his head and said.

"Alright, but promise me you won't overwork yourself."

"I promise," David, chuckled.

After talking to his dad for a few minutes, he headed out of the store and entered his car.

On the way, Noah received a call from a private number.

"Hello?" He responded, after answering the phone call.

"Hi, am I speaking to Noah Thompson?" a familiar voice spoke.

"Yes, you are."

"Great, I'm Sergeant Rachel Miller," She responded, her tone off as if she didn't want to speak to him.

"I see, how can I help you, sergeant," He said, a small smile forming on his face as he kept driving.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"I called you in regards to one of the cases of embezzlement you have made, our detective has decided that this case has enough evidence to be transferred to court."

"I was calling you to inform you that you have two choices, either drop the case or take it to court. What do you choose?"

Noah listened to what she said and replied.

"I would like to take it to court, I have enough evidence to prove they are guilty."

"Alright, the earliest court appointment is in two days time. Would you like to book that one?"

"Yes, please."

"Alright, Mr Thompson."

"I will send you the details later today regarding the time and place." She said as he heard a keyboard typing.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome, have a nice day." She said, hanging up.

"You too,"

...

Arriving at the government building, Noah parked his G-Class in an open parking spot.

"This shouldn't take too long," He muttered as he made his way inside the building.

The queue in front of him moved quickly, and before long, a voice called out, "Next."

Noah stepped forward, meeting the gaze of a middle-aged attendant sitting behind the counter, his expression neutral but tired.

"How can I help you today?" the man asked, adjusting his glasses as he looked up.

"I'd like to register my company," Noah replied, his tone confident but polite.

The man nodded, typing a few words into his computer. "And in what sector will your company operate?"

"Pharmaceuticals," Noah replied without missing a beat.

The man's eyes flicked up for a brief moment, a hint of curiosity in his gaze. "Pharmaceuticals," he repeated, nodding slowly as he made a few more keystrokes.

"I'm sure you're aware that before any of your products can be listed for sale, they'll need to undergo clinical testing to prove their safety and efficacy."

"Of course," Noah replied, pulling out a set of documents that Arthur had prepared for him. "I have all the necessary paperwork here."

The man accepted the stack, scanning through each page before setting them in a small tray beside him.

He placed each page carefully on a scanner, taking digital copies.

Once he finished, he returned Noah's original copies, glancing up with a faint, approving nod.

"All right, I've taken copies of everything. Now, what name will the company be registered under?"

"Thompson's Pharmaceuticals," Noah replied, the name rolling off his tongue.

The attendant's fingers tapped swiftly across the keyboard, entering the name into the system. "And do you have a specific location for your company headquarters?"

Noah shook his head slightly. "Not yet."

The man nodded without comment, continuing his work in silence for a few moments before he finally looked up.

"Okay, Mr. Thompson, I've placed your documents in the queue for review."

"Processing typically takes two to three business days. Once everything is approved, we'll notify you. The company is now officially registered, and once your documentation is cleared, you'll be free to begin operations."

"Thank you," Noah replied, his voice calm.

The man gave a curt nod, his tone slightly warmer as he said, "You're welcome. Good luck."

With a final nod of thanks, Noah turned and made his way back outside.

Once Noah settled into the driver's seat, he pulled out his phone and called Lily's number. After a few rings, she picked up.

"Hello, Lily?"

"Hi, Noah! What's up?"

He smiled, relaxing in his seat.

"Just checking in. How have you been doing?"

"Oh, you know, the usual. Studying for the upcoming exams," she replied her tone a mix of enthusiasm and exhaustion.

He nodded. "Let me know if you need any help regarding that."

"I will, thank you," she said, and he could hear the smile in her voice.

"By the way, could you send me your dad's number? I need to talk to him about something."

"Sure," she replied without hesitation.

"Thanks, Lily."

"No problem at all," she said before they hung up, her voice as warm as ever.

Receiving Arthur's number from Lily, Noah called it.

"Hello?" Arthur's voice held a slight note of curiosity as if he wasn't quite sure who'd be calling him directly. He had never seen the number before.

"Hello, It's me, Noah."

"Noah! How'd you get my number? Did Lily give it to you?" There was a warm chuckle in Arthur's voice, recognizing Noah now.
