Chapter 196 2x Rebate Card

After breakfast, Noah headed to the gym for a quick workout.

...

After he was done he wiped the sweat off his face, as he headed to the shower.

After his shower, he got dressed, reached for his car keys and decided to head to the city centre.

Today, his destination was the mall. 'It's time to use that card,' he mused.

Upon arriving at the luxury mall, Noah walked through the glass doors of the high-end store. The assistant's eyes lit up as she immediately took in his demeanour and the subtle confidence in his posture.

"Welcome to the Patek Philippe store, sir. How may I assist you today?" she asked, her tone polished.

Noah glanced around briefly, taking in the displays. "Show me your most exclusive pieces," he replied casually.

"Of course, sir. Please, follow me." The assistant guided him to a secluded section where the most luxurious timepieces were displayed.

"We have a variety of exquisite options, from the below $100,000 range, including the Patek Philippe Aquanaut and the Calatrava collection," she began, gesturing to a case filled with stunning pieces. "Next, in the below $1 million range, we have the Nautilus 5711 in rose gold and the Grand Complications series."

Noah nodded, barely sparing the items a glance. "And above $1 million?" he inquired, his tone calm but inquisitive.

The assistant's excitement was palpable as she unveiled a single masterpiece: the Patek Philippe Stainless Steel Ref. 1518. "This is the highlight of our store, priced at $11 million. It's a rarity in every sense, we just received it in-store a few days ago," she explained, her voice carrying awe.

Noah's gaze lingered on the watch for a moment before shifting back to the assistant. "I'll take it," he said simply, his tone devoid of hesitation.

The assistant blinked, momentarily stunned. "Sir, would you like to see—"

"I'll also take the Grand Complications series," Noah added, pointing to another display. "And that one, the Nautilus 5711."

By the time Noah had selected his purchases, the total amounted to nearly $20 million. The assistant hurried to prepare the paperwork, her hands slightly trembling at the magnitude of the sale.

"Will this be going on a card, sir?" she asked.

Noah handed over his black card with a faint smile. "On this."

Glancing at his inventory, Noah activated the 2x rebate card he had received the other day.

The assistant's eyes widened as the notification appeared on her screen. Twenty million dollars drained in a single transaction without so much as a blink from the man in front of her. She gulped audibly, trying to maintain her professional demeanour.

As Noah stood calmly, inspecting one of the boxes with a faint smile, her mind raced. Her thoughts shifted to her commission.

'Let's see… The commission rate for luxury sales is 2.5%... So that means…'

She quickly did the math in her head, her fingers nervously tapping on the counter.

'2.5% of $20,000,000 is…' Her eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. 'Five hundred thousand dollars?!'

Her heart skipped a beat as the realization sank in. 'That's more than I make in fifteen years!' she thought, struggling to keep her composure. A part of her wanted to jump up and down, but she swallowed her excitement,

[Ding! $40,000,000 has been credited to the account ending in xx04. Current balance: $42,344,321]

"Sir, thank you for your purchase," she managed to say, her voice slightly shaky but composed enough to maintain her image.

Noah gave her a faint smile, barely acknowledging the transaction, and turned to leave the store with his purchases in hand, moving with a calm and unhurried stride. The assistant, still in a daze from witnessing twenty million dollars drain from his account without him so much as blinking, stared at the door as it began to close behind him.

Her thoughts were racing.

"I need to get him at any cost," she muttered under her breath, snapping herself out of the daze.

Gathering her courage, she hurried after him, her heels clicking against the tiled floor. "Excuse me, sir," she called, her voice deliberately soft and pitched slightly lower, a touch of deliberate charm laced in her tone.

Noah paused at the door, his head tilting slightly in acknowledgement. Without turning fully, he glanced at her over his shoulder, his expression neutral.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Do you have a girlfriend by any chance?" she asked, her voice now a little sweeter, as she subtly adjusted her posture to appear more alluring.

Noah's lips quirked into a barely perceptible smirk. "No," he replied flatly, his tone dismissive as he turned back toward the door.

The assistant's face lit up for a fraction of a second, but before she could follow up, Noah pushed open the glass door and stepped out, the door closing behind him with a soft whoosh.

The assistant stood there, stunned and slightly flushed, clutching at the edges of her vest. She glanced over her shoulder, hoping for some solidarity from her colleagues, but they all averted their eyes, pretending to be engrossed in arranging watches or studying brochures.

Her shoulders sagged slightly as a wave of embarrassment hit her. But deep down, she clenched her fists, determined. "He's the one," she whispered to herself. "I'll find a way."

Smoothing down her uniform, she sighed and turned back to her work. The other staff members continued to act oblivious, though a few exchanged amused glances behind her back.

The store settled into its usual rhythm, but the assistant's thoughts remained consumed by the man who had just walked out, leaving behind nothing but questions and twenty million dollars worth of watches.

After the purchase, Noah wandered around the mall for a bit, picking up a few more luxury clothing items and accessories. Once he was done, he headed back to his G-Wagon, placing the bags neatly into the trunk.

As he closed the trunk, he heard footsteps approaching from behind. Turning his head slightly, he noticed four men, their postures tense, and faces sly with malintent.

"We saw you buy those watches," one of them sneered, stepping closer with a smirk. "Hand them over, and we won't hurt you."

Noah raised an eyebrow, his face calm but with a hint of irritation. "You know there are cameras here, right? And your faces are fully visible. Not afraid of getting caught?"

The leader of the group chuckled, clearly unbothered. "Why would I be? By the time the cops get here, I'll be long gone, selling these beauties overseas for millions." He tapped the knife in his hand. "Enough talking—stop wasting time. Hand them over, or I'll turn you into Swiss cheese."

Noah sighed, his shoulders relaxing. "Alright, fine." He turned back to the trunk and opened it slowly, pulling out the bag containing the watches.

Walking toward them, he held the bag out at arm's length, his calm demeanor making the group hesitate slightly.

As soon as he was close enough, Noah moved like lightning. His elbow flew forward, slamming into the leader's face with brutal precision.

There was a sickening crack as the man's nose shattered, and he stumbled backwards, clutching his face before collapsing to the ground, his knife clattering uselessly beside him.

The remaining three thugs were caught off guard, but one of them quickly regained his composure and lunged at Noah with a wild punch.

"Damn you!" the man shouted, his fist aimed at Noah's head.

Noah dodged easily, sidestepping the attack with fluid precision. Grabbing the man's wrist mid-swing, Noah twisted it sharply, forcing the thug to drop his weapon with a howl of pain.

Not wasting a second, Noah delivered a powerful knee strike to the man's stomach, sending him crashing to the ground, wheezing and clutching his ribs.

The other two thugs exchanged nervous glances before one of them pulled out another knife.

"You messed with the wrong people!" the thug growled, as he stabbed forward.

But Noah was faster. Closing the distance in a single step, he grabbed the knife with one hand, twisting it out of the thug's grip, and slammed the knife's butt into the man's temple. The thug's eyes rolled back as he crumpled to the ground.

The final thug was trembling as he took a step back. "L-let's just call it even, man," he stammered, raising his hands defensively.

Noah's gaze hardened as he stepped forward. "Even? You think you can rob someone and just walk away?"

The thug turned and tried to run, but Noah wasn't letting him go. He grabbed the back of the man's jacket, yanked him backwards, and delivered a swift kick to the back of his knees. The thug fell to the ground with a yelp, and Noah planted a firm foot on his back, pinning him down before knocking him out cold like the rest of his mates.

With all four of them incapacitated, Noah took a deep breath and glanced around the parking lot. He saw the security cameras still recording everything.

"You should've picked someone else," Noah muttered, tossing the bag back into the trunk.

He grabbed his phone and called the police. "I have four would-be thieves incapacitated in the mall parking lot," he said calmly. "You might want to send someone to pick them up."
