Vampire Summoner's Rebirth: Summoning The Vampire Queen At The Start

It was a Mutant, a thing that resembled an octopus, made of red flesh and with several mechanical parts attached to it, the parts of many Androids that didn't make it had become its new "shell" and even replaced parts of its flesh.

Wait, now that I look at it, it seemed to have emerged out of a piece of the Titan-class Mutants, and at the same time… Why does it look so much like when Xenoids take over machines?

It was much smaller than even the smallest Xenoid I've fought, and also was much less powerful but… It had a strange power.

Its crimson, mechanical eyes.

The moment it glanced at the Androids, they were instantly taken over by a crimson red light, paralyzed, and rapidly having their minds rewritten.

"B-9 save… me!"

"A-0!"

Without hesitating, B-9 ran towards A-0 to save her life, he didn't even thought things well, a reckless robot like him, I never thought there would be someone so similar to Braveblitz already.

Yet, the result was obvious. The tentacles reached him and wrapped around his body. He was left helpless, as he stared at the red eyes of the monster.

And then at A-0, whose eyes had also turned deep red.

She smiled at him, as the monster let go of her, she moved on her own towards him.

"A-0! R-Run!" he muttered. "I have to resist this… This is a virus! Ugh…! I have to cleanse it- Argh!"

However, she grabbed his face, glaring at him into the eyes.

"A-0…? Are you…?"

"Heheh…"

Her eyes pierced his own with her crimson light, as his entire mind was overwritten as well.

FLASH!

"Uuuaarrgghhh!"

After that, the movie showed small images of them walking back to the androids and infecting them all with the same virus.

Once that strange Mutant infected everyone with its virus, it quickly ordered the androids to attack the village of maintenance robots.

These robots we've met so far, who were all quite helpless against the androids' attacks. Their bodies, cores, and memory chips dismantled out of their corpses were brought to the Mutant.

And the Mutant started absorbing them, growing larger, and more horrendous.

And even now, it still growing…

"So that's the cause of everything going on so far?!" asked Eleanora. "A strange Mutant…"

"This is… I didn't expect this game to have such deep stories," said Zack. "Although we haven't gotten any notification this is pretty much a new quest! A side quest of sorts!"

"Yeah, I suppose so…" I nodded. "It's dangerous though, if we get close to that thing, our machines could get infected by the virus…"

"Hm, but didn't Hendrick say it works slower on beings that aren't intelligent? Most of our machines are more like tools. Sure they can be slowed down with the virus, but they won't start attacking us, their emotional and thought process complexity isn't as advanced as us," said Eleanora.

"Yeah mama is right," nodded Saphira. "We might be a bit more resistant!"

"But don't worry, with us around, we can easily reject the virus from entering our machinery," Hendrick said.

The two talking through the android bodies was a bit unnerving, even more when their real voices came instead of the original voices of the androids.

"Woah, Blake your robots are really amazing. They are so complex in their thought processes, and they turned into digital ghost things? I had no idea the game had such a feature!" said Zack. "I bet they cost a lot to buy, huh? How much do pilots earn protecting the ship from Xenoids?"

"Very little, but that's changing over time," I explained. "Anyways… Hendrick, do you think you can infiltrate?"

"We can," nodded Hendrick. "With Saphira it should be possible to release special signals that imitate the signals that the virus releases."

"Can you, Saphira?" I asked her.

"Yes papa! Leave it to me," she nodded.

"Very well, let's go then, there's no time to waste," I said. "Zack, you're coming?"

"Yeah! I'll try to fight a bit better…" he nodded. "Let me go. I just have to keep in mind it's a game."

"Alright," I nodded. "Hendrick, make sure to protect Braveblitz the most, I would prefer if he wasn't affected."

"Don't worry about it, Blake! My mind cannot be corrupted!" Braveblitz laughed.

"Then let's go," I said. "First, Hendrick and Saphira will infiltrate and then we'll follow after they find enough information."

"Sure," nodded Zack. "Let's do that."

Without wasting more time, we moved to do that. Our robot friend came along this time as well, now carrying a huge machinegun and one of the swords from the Androids.

"I must fight. Too," he said. "I have to. Save the children. Cores… I cannot let. That monster. Eat their cores!"

"Well said, come along then," I nodded. "Just keep your part of the promise."

"I will." He nodded.

We moved there, and waited outside the large underground zone where the Androids were.

This was the first time some of them died, so they were now between 41 to 43, as they were originally fifty or so, and we killed eight of them.

Hendrick and Saphira moved across the jungles and then, carrying a floating platform with machine parts, they infiltrated the Androids' settlement.

They were all glowing with bright red color, without talking at all with one another. It seemed that they only talked and acted psychotic with enemies such as us.

Hendrick and Saphira managed to get past their guards and easily reached the deeper areas of the village.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

There were camps where the Androids would rest or sometimes they would sit down to absorb sunlight to work better.

Other camps were exchanging parts to repair themselves for other parts.

And there were some that were constantly melting the parts into stronger looking pieces, or ingots of metal.

We were able to see through it as Hendrick created a projection for us.

Although I was a step further, as I could easily share my senses with my Digital Spirits and see through their eyes.

Eventually, they reached the area where they had to pour the parts, a huge room with piles after piles of robot scraps, there were several shattered cores.

"T-That's…!" our robot friend panicked. "That's where. They are!"

"Calm down, we'll get there, just calm down," I said. "Keep going, Hendrick, Saphira. Show us more of the layout."
