Vampire Summoner's Rebirth: Summoning The Vampire Queen At The Start

Chapter 1187 Against The Biomechanical Mutant

-----

"You damn humans! Don't think you can defeat me… YET!"

The Mutant screamed furiously, using his psychic powers to absorb all the scrap metal he had thrown away, fusing it with his body rapidly.

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!

His body grew larger and taller, stronger and covered almost completely with metal he melted and converged into stronger alloy.

"After how far I've come, I won't lose to any of you anymore! This world is ours now, humans!"

He rushed forward, swinging his gigantic mechanical tentacles against us, while firing shockwaves of psychic power.

I intercepted the attacks with my spear, releasing piercing thrusts of lightning that left several holes through his metallic exterior.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

At the same time, Saphira immediately began slowing him down, freezing several of his mechanical programs and everything else.

"Uuarrgh!"

He screamed in agony as he was forcing himself to move despite Saphira's powers, only for Hendrick to slash through his back with his electrified sword.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

"YOU DAMN…!"

As this happened I pushed forward, firing hundreds of armor-piercing bullets from my machinegun attached to the machine warrior prototype.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Nnngghh?! GRAAAH!"

With a scream of desperation, he unleashed another shockwave of psychic power, trying to push us away before he released several giant spears of metal from his body, sending them flying at us.

"Evade them!" I commanded.

Hendrick and Saphira quickly evaded the incoming missiles, as I punched them or destroyed them with my spear. The robot I piloted moved almost at the same time as I thought of moving it.

It truly felt like a second body, this was much better than the other machines of this game!

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

As I destroyed the projectiles, I quickly began charging energy into the chest of my robot, all while that bastard continued firing the projectiles.

"Here, I prepared a gift for you."

The chest opened, revealing a giant photon cannon charging with large quantities of energy and then releasing it all at once.

"Huh?!"

TRUUUMMM!!!

The beam was fired before he could escape or retaliate, reaching him and rapidly beginning to disintegrate his metallic body, melting it.

"UUAAARRGGH!"

As he screamed in agony, he started to lose all the metal of his body, revealing his tender flesh, which was also being turned into ashes.

He continued growing weaker over time, becoming smaller and even more monstrous. His flesh was regenerating quickly.

However, it didn't quite feel like normal flesh, it was like…

"Placentoid?!"

So this thing is a Xenoid?

No, it still lacks several of its features.

Just what's going on?!

"RAAARRGGH!"

However, before I could investigate any further, the beam dissipated and the monstrous creature exploded into pieces, splattering over the floor.

BOOOM!

Silence.

"D-Did that do it?" Saphira wondered.

"It was tougher than I imagined!" Hendrick said. "With this sword alone, we wouldn't had been able to do much, huh…"

"Yeah," I nodded. "It was indeed incredibly tough… tougher than I thought."

I walked towards it, searching for a true body.

"This is all Placentoid…" I said. "This thing was a Xenoid, or a species of it… of some sort."

"Truly?!" Hendrick gasped. "B-But doesn't that mean that Xenoids… had been present in humanity's original planet much earlier then?"

"Yeah… I think so," I nodded. "Ah, there it is!"

"Gryyeaaeergh…!"

A small worm-like creature was trying to crawl away.

"Hendrick, kill it!"

"Understood!"

Hendrick rushed towards it, using his sword to slice it into tiny pieces.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

Once it was finally dead, its true body melted away into a red sludge.

"Strange, it is as if it cannot keep itself together when it's exposed?" wondered Hendrick.

"Yeah it melted!" said Saphira.

"Hmm…" I rubbed my chin. "This confirms the Mutants might originate from Xenoids. But we've fought other Mutants before, and they didn't act with their intelligence and weren't as resilient as this one."

"Could it be that this one in specific was a Xenoid and the rest… monstrous, mutagenic offspring?" wondered Hendrick.

"Maybe…" I said. "I'm beginning to realize that things are more connected than I originally believed. But for now, we're done, let's go."

We walked back to the surface as we saw that the androids that had yet to be destroyed were still infected.

The virus didn't disappear even when the Xenoid died…

"Destroy them for now," I said. "There's no point in keeping them around as psychos."

My group quickly finished them off after that.

Meanwhile, the ones that Hendrick and Saphira were possessing dropped dead once they abandoned their bodies.

There was no mind in them, no memories, nothing. Explore more adventures at empire

They had become… unmoving scraps of metal at the end.

"To think Xenoids could even create viruses to affect machines…" I wondered. "This is indeed quite bizarre. But for now, it seems we're won. Robot."

"Yes. Thank you so much." The robot seemed very amazed. "You will be. Remembered for all of history."

We helped him bring all the pieces we could, including the cores and memory chips of the robots the androids attacked.

Then once he was given everything, he sighed in relief.

Many of the robots of the village gathered after we came back, celebrating by cheering and jumping around.

"Hmm…" Our robot friend looked at the android bodies, and at the broken cores of his kind. "Perhaps I could… try to do something. A combination between machine and androids."

"For what purpose?" I asked.

"The android bodies. Are much more flexible. And useful than our stiff. Hard bodies," he said. "I will. Do that. Later."

"Well, do whatever you want," I said. "Now, do your part of the deal."

"Yes. Please come with me."

He led us downstairs, where the huge teleportation machine was located.

Indeed, its floor was broken and there were two blue tubes that had shattered.

"This'll take. Some time to repair. On my own," he said. "I hope you. Can be patient."

"What? We can't wait much longer!" Eleanora said, rather angered.

"I'm sorry…" the robot sighed. "Maybe if. Someone helped me… but for now. Nobody can- Ah!"

"We'll help!"

"Let us help."

"We are repair bots."

"We are made to help."

"Help our heroes! Help them!"

The other robots joined him, cutting down the time of repair by a lot.

"It's done. It's done. It's done!"

Until it was finally completed.
