Chapter 1100: Section 1101 Human Purification Plan

Chapter 1100: Section 1101 Human Purification Plan

Not long ago, during the battle nearby, the great Demon had left the Void Tower and disappeared without a trace.

Angel had also seen these demons from a distance, one of which, an upper-class lady in exquisite attire for its upper body, and beneath the fluffy skirt, lay countless hideous and terrifying tentacles.

Could it be Nitotipu?

Angel merely described it, initially intending to create an illusion of the scene, but before he could conjure the illusion, Canaan confirmed with certainty.

“Yes, it is Nitotipu,” Canaan nodded, and then hesitantly added, “However, I’ve heard that the true form of Nitotipu is not actually an octopus, it is…”

“An ocean demon,” Fafnir interjected, “Even if it is an ocean demon, that doesn’t necessarily mean it is not an octopus.”

Canaan fell silent.

The appearance of ocean demons varies greatly; Nitotipu’s true form is akin to the appearance of an octopus, while Canaan’s own true form is very similar to that of a jellyfish… However, this does not mean that she herself is a jellyfish.

But Canaan dared not argue with Fafnir. Let it be an octopus for all she cared, as long as it was Nitotipu being discussed.

“So Nitotipu is an ocean demon? Then why did it attack you?” Angel turned to Canaan, “Don’t tell me it found your half-blood demon heritage an insult to the lineage of ocean demons?”

Not all demons of the Abyss are like the little obscure demons who treat the offspring of half-blood demons with affection. Most demons look upon half-blood demons with disdain and disgust, especially if the half-blood demon possesses a bloodline similar to their own.

For instance, Angel had heard that within the Undying Brigade, there was a significant number of half-blood demons, one of which was a Graveyard Knight mixed with the bloodline of a Bone Wing Demon. However, this knight was hunted by countless Bone Wing Demons simply because they prided themselves on being purebloods, while the Graveyard Knight had mixed with the blood of the indigenous people, muddying and making their existence revolting to them.

Angel assumed that Canaan was attacked for this reason. After all, half of her lineage came from ocean demons.

Yet, Canaan shook her head.

“No, I was actually accidentally injured,” explained Canaan, but then she stopped short. While Angel was about to ask why she was accidentally injured, seeing Canaan’s pale face and her downcast expression made him decide against pursuing the question further.

“Regardless, you should rest and recover for now,” Angel said to Canaan with a smile, “At least here in the shop, you are safe for the moment.”

Canaan nodded and leaned against a tree to slowly sit down on the ground, her gaze somewhat vacant, seemingly lost in thought.

Angel returned to one side and continued to manipulate his Scouting Puppet to explore the surroundings. However, within the effective range of the Scouting Puppet’s exploration, Angel still found nothing. The only anomaly was the cloud prison, but since the Scouting Puppet could not enter, there was nothing to be done.

Aside from the region of the cloud prison, there were only two places he had yet to explore. One was the Hunting Museum, and with the night proprietor about to Ascend the Throne, he felt it inappropriate to intrude at this moment; the other place was up in the sky.

At first glance, the sky seemed devoid of demons except for where the floating ice was located. But every time the Scouting Puppet attempted to fly upwards, a demon would appear and destroy the Scouting Puppet.

Now, with nowhere else left to explore, Angel decided to send the Scouting Puppet into the sky once more, steeling himself for the task.

After a while, Angel wore a look of frustration: “It’s destroyed again.”

“What’s wrong, shopkeeper?” Canaan, having returned to the shop and zoned out for a while, began to observe the situation inside. Fafnir was continuously eating and drinking, his gaze fixed on an unknown distance; Angel sat in the courtyard with his eyes closed, unaware of what he was doing, occasionally sighing or looking puzzled, completely motionless.

Upon hearing Canaan’s call, Angel opened his eyes, expressing his helplessness, “It’s nothing, my Scouting Puppet has been scrapped again, crushed by a demon that surged out of nowhere. I didn’t see a single demon while I scoured the ground, but the moment they ascend to the sky, they just appear.”

Scouting Puppets? Canaan immediately realized that he probably meant those metallic little spheres from before.

Canaan hesitated for a moment before explaining, “Low-ranking demons hide underground, while intermediate rank demons and above take refuge in parallel spaces. That’s why the shopkeeper sees no trace of demons on the ground.”

Parallel spaces. Angel pondered for a moment, speculating that these were probably similar to the Exile Spaces used by wizards.

Despite hearing the explanation, Angel remained speechless, “Hide if they must, but why do they come out the moment I send my Scouting Puppet aloft?”

Canaan contemplated for a long while before replying in a voice as faint as a mosquito, “Because, they must ensure that the plan goes without any mistakes.”

Angel, who hadn’t really expected an answer from Canaan, was simply venting the frustration of his continuous loss of Scouting Puppets. He hadn’t anticipated that Canaan might know something.

Ensure that the plan goes without any mistakes?

“What plan? What do you mean by that?” Angel asked, puzzled, looking at Canaan, “By the way, you mentioned that other demons are hiding. Why didn’t you?”

Canaan lowered her head, hiding her expression from Angel, “I was injured before the plan was set in motion.”

Listening to Canaan’s words, it seemed that a plan had caused the entire Lassudral to change? And made all the demons hide?

Angel vaguely felt that this plan might be very crucial.

Facing Angel’s question, Canaan hesitated for a moment but eventually revealed, “The plan is to shake the Void and purge all humans.”

Although the shop owner had never admitted it, Canaan was well aware that the shop owner was human. Moreover, it’s very likely that he was connected with the humans in the sky. Therefore, it had always been struggling with whether to reveal this information or not.

Once this plan was divulged, and it reached the ears of the human camps, the demons would inevitably face a setback. And it would become a betrayer among the demons.

Canaan was previously distracted by the indecision of whether to tell or not. But when it came down to the wire, Canaan found itself speaking the plan without any burden.

Even after speaking, Canaan did not feel much guilt; it felt more like a weight had been lifted off its shoulders.

Canaan wasn’t like Pulapa who hated humans; Canaan did not harbor much resentment towards humans. In fact, Canaan felt even greater enmity towards some of its own demon kind.

Angel was human, but he had changed Canaan’s future with the Ocean Rhythm and also saved its life. Just these two acts of kindness were something Canaan found impossible to repay.

Canaan chose to speak, initially to repay the debt of gratitude, but after speaking, it realized it hadn’t felt any burden at all. Upon closer reflection, it came to an enlightenment—

Demons, unlike humans and the Abyss’ Indigenous People, were not bound by moral codes or legal order. In this utterly degenerate world of demons, where even the demons themselves only talked about interests and not righteousness, it, a Half-Blood Demon, had actually bound itself with righteousness.

With this thought, Canaan felt increasingly relaxed.

The one recounting was very relaxed, but the listener grew more and more shocked and tense as he heard more.

As Canaan continued its account, Angel slowly understood the sequence of events. The reason why Canaan had been injured was also related to this.

At the time, Nitotipu had just left the Void Tower and landed on a secluded street. While discussing the plan with an Obscure Demon by its side, Canaan happened to overhear it.

In fact, it didn’t matter to Canaan whether it heard the plan or not; at that time, it never considered leaking the plan.

However, its presence was detected by Nitotipu who mistook it for a human eavesdropping on their plan. Nitotipu quietly sent its tentacles into the ground and launched an attack on Canaan from below, impaling Canaan through the chest and abdomen with a single strike.

Later, Nitotipu discovered that the one who heard the plan was Canaan.

As an Ocean Demon, Nitotipu, of course, had heard of Canaan. It didn’t dislike Canaan, nor did it feel any fondness for it, but it was clear to Nitotipu that Canaan should be unrelated to the human camp.

The injury to Canaan was purely accidental.

Nitotipu did not continue to kill Canaan but did not save it either and simply left. To it, this was a trivial matter, soon to be completely forgotten. But for Canaan, it was a matter of life and death.

Fortunately, Angel discovered Canaan and saved it. As a result, he was able to learn the truth about the “human purge plan” from Canaan.

This plan originated from a feature of the Void Tower: stabilizing Spatial Energy.

Spatial Energy in the Void was extremely Chaotic, with space rifts occurring from time to time, and in cases of bad luck, even spatial whirlpools might form.

In such harsh conditions, Lassudral could stand eternally without falling because there must be a method to stabilize the Spatial Energy.

And this method was the Void Tower.

Legend has it that the establishment of Lassudral was actually related to an Unparalleled Great Demon God known as—The Abyss Gazing Demon Eye.

According to Canaan, the cross-layer gates of the outside world were also constructed by this Demon God.

For Lassudral to become a hub between the outer and inner layers, The Abyss Gazing Demon Eye had planned the creation of the Void Tower from the beginning. To construct the Void Tower, the Cruel Scholar was even invited to design it.

As the Great Demon God of the Abyss known for being all-knowing in knowledge, the Cruel Scholar designed a series of projects for the Void Tower, which included facilities to stabilize Spatial Energy.

The specific action was to stabilize the Spatial Energy, but if it was operated in reverse, it would result in massive amounts of Chaotic Energy, causing a shaking of the Void.

If the settings and operations are precise, it could easily target the position of the floating icebergs in the sky as the area of the Void shake. Nearly all human Wizards were on these icebergs, and if targeted by such a scheme, it would surely result in a catastrophic blow.

And this was the core of the human purge plan.
