"Welcome home, Mistress. There are several letters addressed to you that have just arrived. Would you like to see them?" Katsuki asked as soon as I walked in through the entrance after returning from school.

I groaned, "Are the letters inviting me to go attend a party?"

Katsuki nodded, "It is as Mistress has surmised. Is there anyone in particular that Mistress favours? I can help Mistress reject the rest of them and only accept those that Mistress favours."

I spun around to see Mary stepping out of a portal, the Trasif stopping just a step in front of it to bow to me.

I turned back to Katsuki and she bowed as well, "I shall remain here to work on the invitations, Mistress."

I nodded at Mary and she stepped aside to allow me to walk through her portal.

Before I could reach it, however, she raised her hand and I stopped in front of her outstretched palm, only to realise that there was a [Mask of Impossible Identity] resting on her palm.

I guess she wants me to put that on first before I go through the portal.

I wordlessly took the mask from her and put it on, only then did she lower her arm again to allow me to pass.

When I stepped through it, I expected myself to fall since that seemed to be a recurring theme at this point.

Surprisingly, this time that didn't happen and I found myself stepping out onto solid ground.

Before I could even get my bearings, I was suddenly assaulted with the sound of war drums beating and the shouts and warcries of soldiers.

I realised that I was standing in the middle of a war camp which I suspect belonged to the King judging by the flags that were perched all around the camp.

Yep, I see a rather familiar tent just a few metres away as well, so this should be King Justinia's camp.

The only difference is that unlike before where the camp would only be set up as a place to stay the night, this camp in particular seemed to have been entrenched like it was preparing for a siege.

Mary stepped through the portal after me and it closed itself silently.

"Where is everyone?" I asked.

Mary frowned slightly, "It seems like we were a little late… It has already begun. Follow me, Young Mistress."

I did as she asked and followed behind the Trasif maid, who seemed to be leading me towards the entrance of the camp where a large wooden gate had been erected complete with two archery towers on either side.

She easily hopped over the gate and I followed suit, both of us landing on the ground without a sound.

By that, I wasn't talking about just skeletons but there seemed to be zombies, wights, banshees and even flesh golems.

Now that we were outside the camp, I could see that we were in a large grassy plain with sparse trees scattered around the plain.

Right now, a battle seemed to be taking place as what were clearly Lecharouc soldiers who were accompanying the King as her guards were locked in combat with what I could only describe as an undead army.

By that, I wasn't talking about just skeletons but there seemed to be zombies, wights, banshees and even flesh golems.

I could even see King Justinia leading the charge and fighting at the front lines herself, her sword cutting through throngs of undead with every swing of her arm.

Mother was also beside her, wielding a sword of her own and smashing skeletons and zombies apart without mercy, her opponents not even standing remotely of a chance against her.

I knew she was obviously holding back because I bet if she wanted, she could wipe out the entire army with ease instead of pretending like she even needed a weapon.

"Mary? What's going on?" I asked.

"That was what we were hoping Young Mistress might be able to tell us. We found monsters wandering outside a Dungeon and Her Majesty, King Justinia decided to investigate, only for a horde of monsters to come pouring out from it the next day. This is the fourth day we have been here and it seems like the monsters would not stop pouring out from the Dungeon."

Geez… Didn't you say that this would be rare, Hiandoca? Wait… I guess you didn't say that… You just said that it could be handled by even normal villages.

I grimaced a little, "It's… A little complicated… It has something to do with Off-Worldsers being here which makes a Dungeon Monster capable of leaving the Dungeon when the Dungeon has reached maximum capacity…"

Mary frowned, "How did Young Mistress find out about this?"

"Would you believe me if I said that I had an audience with Hiandoca and she told me? Not only that, she sent me to a Dungeon just to clear the monsters to prevent such a thing from happening?"

She didn't even question it and nodded, "I see… And when did this happen?"

I pointed to the battle, "But shouldn't I join the fight though? I can fight the monsters too, can't I?"

Mary shook her head, "There is no need, Young Mistress. The King is also using this as an opportunity to test and train her soldiers. If Young Mistress were to join the fight, the effect would be diminished."
