Chapter 564 Celebration
Rain felt like sighing… as if he had to do such a thing. Still, it seemed that Seadrei heard of that and he was probably pissed by that… Rain took Seara with him, even though his original intention was to leave her behind. While Rain was determined to protect her and his entire family, he couldn't deprive them of their freedom and choices.
"What did he say?" Rain asked.
"No, he didn't say anything… Seadir just looked surprised and he mentioned that his father wouldn't agree with that ," Esmeralda said. "I can only imagine that he wouldn't hide such a thing from his father since their relationship isn't a good one from the beginning."
"Well, if he has something to say, he can come to my house and complain," Rain said.
"Man… you sure have balls," Branden said and then sighed.
Now that Rain thought about it, perhaps it would be better if he were to go and talk with Seadrei. It would be bad if Seara had to listen to another conversation where the mood would be dark between when she was due in two or three weeks.
"Let's hope that he will forget all that by the time he sees his grandchild," Esmeralda said. "Rain, I know that you have your way of doing things, but we can't afford to lose the sea folk as allies. I don't think that they will become enemies, but it will be better if we focus on improving our relationship with them."
"You can rest easy knowing that my goal is to make a group of people strong enough that are loyal and will do anything to defend our country for the right reasons," Rain said. "Soon enough, we won't have to worry about having allies or not."
That seemed good, but it also seemed dangerous… After all, when the nations ignore each other, many things can happen that can spark wars. Avoiding that with just one of the species of that world would be very helpful in the long run.
Rain was aware of that, but what was the point of making a five hundred year old man even more drunk on Power and his own influence? Things will only grow more bothersome if some Seadrei is surrounded by yes men.
In any case, after one week, Rain's sisters finished the homes for the magic people that joined their side and while no one hurried them to work, they began to work on the area to help on the production of food… feeding five hundred people wasn't easy, after all.
The next few weeks passed in no time, and in the end, the birth of Rain's next child eventually arrived. Everyone in the house was a bit nervous since it was a child between a human and a mermaid, and while they knew about the existence of demi humans that were born recently, they also heard that some died during their birth.
Fortunately, things went well with the child… it was a cute girl that had small ears if compared to the type that the sea folk had. Still, she looked healthy enough and cute as well since she already had some light blue hair like her mother.
Rain spent that day resting on the side of the bed while watching the little girl… he wanted to name her, but Seara told him that Seadrei was supposed to do that… that was the tradition of the sea folk with royal blood. Besides, she asked him not to pick more fights with Seadrei… that wasn't up to him.
In any case, Danny and Annie also looked quite happy when they saw their little sister… they had been waiting for her a lot as well. Although the baby was healthy, Seara spent one week recovering from going to labor and that week had been quite tense as well since the girl cried a lot… more than Danny and Annie did when they were born. She calmed down when she was put on the water, though.
"I guess this is to be expected, but…" Rain tonight while scratching the back of his head.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Rain couldn't help but wonder if his second daughter would prefer to live more on the ocean than with him… Seara was grown enough to be fine, only staying on water for around three to four hours a day.
"I guess it is time to see Seadrei," Rain said when Seara's complexion improved.
"... I know that you have your thoughts about his way of thinking, but please don't do anything to anger him now," Seara said after a long sigh. "He will be happy enough if we don't say or do anything that goes against his thoughts."
Rain felt like sighing as well… it was only natural that Seara would think like that. Who would defy the emperor of the oceans who has been around ruling those waters for five hundred years? Not his most spoiled daughter, certainly.
In any case, while the occasion was good, the trip could only last one day for Rain. Seara could stay there with the child for a while, but Rain will have to keep watching his family and training his warriors. They were now learning Magic Boost, so they couldn't take a break from training.
In any case, they went as fast as possible using Rain's ice chamber. Although Seara was fine with the cold wind, Rain made the temperature inside better for his daughter just to be safe…. Not like he ever saw Seara catching a cold.
Once they entered the ocean, they could see the underwater capital and a lot of people there waiting for them.. Rain felt like sighing. Another big party… he didn't feel so bad since it was for his daughter, but he still disliked that kind of event since he felt like it was the kind of thing people would use to get closer to him and his family for no good reason and with their unknown agenda.
