MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM

Chapter 30 Art Of Creation

Art Of Creation

When Christopher completed the book, he felt as if he'd entered a new world of knowledge.

He knew that the knowledge regarding runes was extensive, but this book showed him just how broad it was.

"Runes are avenues that lead to creation. Runes represent everything because they are everything. From the biggest mountain to the smallest atom, Runes are everywhere and are in everything. Without them, there would be nothing." He mumbled one of the quotes from the book.

Then, as if he'd just shattered some sort of barrier, his vision suddenly changed and he blinked a few times. And when his vision regained clarity, he was surprised to see that all around him, there were symbols.

"No, not symbols, Runes." The realisation hit him like a truck, and he felt a wave of euphoria at the realisation. It was as if understanding the true nature of Runes had removed a veil from his eyes, and now, he could see far beyond what he could perceive before.

He could see the makeup of the world.

He decided to leave the Library and went to a random location within his dimension. When he reappeared, he looked around with wonder

"So this is the Runic Insight the book spoke about huh?" He muttered as he saw the countless symbols floating around him. Each rune held a different colour and shape and Christopher assumed they represented the different elements and aspects of reality around him.

Curiously, he grabbed at a rune that was colourless. And when he did, he found that he could suddenly sense the gravity around him.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

It was strange but also interesting. He then thought for a bit before imposing his will on the rune, and a moment later, he felt the gravity around him suddenly become much stronger, though he was unaffected.

"Woah." He marveled and played around with the rune a bit more. Depending on how he imposed his will, he could reverse gravity, strengthen it, or make it go in another direction.

However, he noticed that there was a limit to how much he could do with a single rune alone, so he willed more Runes to himself and was unsurprised but impressed when the degree at which he was manipulating gravity increased several fold.

Then he got a little curious and wondered, could he destroy a rune? And if he did, what would happen?

So he looked at the rune in his hand, and after a moment's hesitation, he squeezed his hand shut around it.

It felt like he had just popped a bubble, and at first, nothing happened, but then he realised that he had become weightless.

To his amazement, gravity within a certain radius around him had vanished and he started to float. Then he got a little bit worried about shattering the rune and if it would have any long lasting effects, but to his relief, the rune returned a moment later and gravity was restored.

"I see, so now that I have Runic Insight, I can see and interact with the Runes that make up the world, and by manipulating them, I'm by extension, manipulating the world." Christopher grinned.

"Interesting. Very interesting." He then thought for a while before grabbing another rune. This one was light gray in colour, and Christopher quickly realised this was a wind rune.

He didn't manipulate it this time though, and instead, he took out his Mask of the Dreamer and placed the rune on it. And in a majestic fashion, the rune etched itself into the mask before vanishing.

Christopher still knew it was there however, and he put on the mask. Then he sensed the rune and poured his Mana into it, and sure enough, he was able to freely control the air around him to a certain extent.

"So I can put the runes on items and use the runes through the items, the Mana cost to do so is higher, but in return, the rune never leaves, and I can always have the runes at my disposal instead of having to consciously grab the runes before using it." The more Christopher found out, the more excited he became.

Then he suddenly noticed that among all the runes, there were no runes for pure Mana, and he quickly remembered something the book he'd read said.

Runes make up the world, but what makes up Runes? The answer to that is Mana. However, just because you can manipulate Mana doesn't mean you can manipulate the world. Runes cause the results, and Mana is the fuel.

Mana was required for runes to exist, but one couldn't influence the world with just Mana alone and required the runes to make it work. Then he remembered another thing and snapped his fingers, causing a simple orange flame to appear in front of him.

However, compared to before, he could see multiple tiny runes inside the fire.

"One's ability to manipulate the world depends on how they manipulate runes, however most people think that it's Mana that matters and not runes, but they don't know that the Mana is the fuel, and they are unconsciously manipulating runes. So all forms Of magic are actually just the utilisation of runes to generate a desired effect." At that thought, Christopher decided to increase the temperature of the flames to the white colour he'd used to many times before.

The shape or intensity didn't change, but the temperature around them did, and so did the runes making them up.

Christopher observed two things, for starters, the runes multiplied, and second, they became closer to one another.

"Runic Synergy." Christopher mumbled as he recalled this phenomenon.

The closer runes were, the more intense or efficient they would be, depending on the task at hand. That's also why Christopher wasn't able to I crease his control over gravity with a single rune until he got more to aid him. With them being of the same type and being closer to one another, they amplified their effects, allowing him to achieve a much greater control over gravity.

And the same applied to his flames, the runes multiplied and then because closer to one another, and as a result, the flames became hotter and more deadly.

"Hm, so what comes after Blue hot?" He thought and didn't pour more Mana into the flames, instead, he pulled more runes from the surroundings and added them to the ones inside the flames and made them grow closer to one another.

Almost immediately, the white flames turned a deep blue colour that was beautiful to look at but would turn anyone to ash if they were dumb enough to touch them.

However, Christopher didn't stop, he kept adding more runes and compressed them as much as possible. And then, something strange happened.

The flames… disappeared.

"No, that's not right. I can still feel them." He frowned as he could still feel his Mana being drained. He looked closely before he finally realised what happened.

To his bewilderment, the flames… became colourless. As if they had lost all light, the flames were transparent, but were still visible if one looked closely.

Christopher marveled. He'd never heard of colourless flames before, and he was very curious as to what they could do. How hot were they?

However

[The System Advises Master against using the flames within his dimension.] Christopher paused and quickly regained his senses.

"Right, I probably shouldn't be damaging this place." Christopher thought for a moment before asking.

"By the way, how hot are these flames anyway?" As usual, the system answered immediately.

[9,500,000 degrees Celsius.] Christopher blinked.

"Come again?"

[Nine and a half million Degrees Celsius.] The system answered again, for some reason putting its answer in written form in front of his face.

Christopher stood there for a while, his expression frozen.

After a while, he suddenly burst out laughing like a madman. He laughed so hard his sides hurt, and after a while, he calmed down.

"So I can now create flames hotter than the surface of entire stars because of some runes now huh? Good, very good." He clapped lightly and sighed.

He was happy, and rightfully so. Besides the flames themselves, Christopher realised that since he could now see and interact with runes and also manipulate them. And since magic was simply the unconscious use of runes to manipulate the runes, then if an enemy threw an attack at him, he could just dispel the runes in their attack and render it Null.

And there was also the fact that he could do with other elements the thing he did with his flames and condense more runes into an element to give it stupendous effects. And lastly, runes make up the world, and since he could manipulate them, didn't he, by extension, have the ability to create?

"If I don't get arrogant very soon then something is wrong with me." He laughed some more. He just couldn't help but feel pity for whoever was going to fight him in the near future, because this just wasn't fair.
