MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM

Chapter 31 Spiders

Spiders

Just like that, a week passed.

Christopher spent most of his time training inside his Dimension. Whether it was increasing his mastery over runes or training with his subordinates, he used the time dilation to its fullest.

Besides that, he would train Titus when he needed to and would have some run-ins with the members of the Darius Family from time to time. But at this point, they no longer tried to recruit him and just kept a friendly relation with him, which he very much welcomed.

With his time dilation, it was actually two weeks that had passed for him so he managed to improve a lot more than he initially anticipated. And as such, he decided it was time to finally take on another mission.

Exiting his Dimension, his clothes morphed and he smoothly put on his mask, once more donning his Dreamer persona.

He walked casually the the adventurers building and made his way to the front desk.

"Hi there." The same female receptionist as before flinched, however, it wasn't as bad as the previous times, as if she'd been somehow expecting him to randomly appear, and it seemed to have paid off, kinda.

"Ah, sir Dreamer. You've come again." She managed to keep her cool for the most part and Christopher was pleased that she wasn't a stuttering mess like before.

"That's right. I've come to take on another mission, if that isn't any problem." Christopher stated and the Receptionist nodded.

"It's perfectly alright. As long as the mission isn't too high above your level, then you can take as many as you want. While it is advisable to rest in between missions, however, you took your time before coming here again, so I'm sure you've rested plenty." She explained calmly and Christopher nodded.

"I'm aware of that much, I simply came here to make sure that what I'm about to do is fine." Hearing this, the Receptionist tilted her head.

"What would that be sir?" She asked.

"I'm planning to take on a red ranked mission." Hearing this, the Receptionist blinked.

"That… shouldn't be a problem. As long as your party is up for the task then taking on the missions shouldn't be an issue…" The Receptionist trailed off as she stared at Christopher and suddenly realised something.

"You… You don't have a party… don't you?" Her voice was more exasperated than shocked and Christopher nodded.

She went silent for a while, Christopher sensing her emotions being varied at that moment. Then in the end, she just sighed.

"Are you sure?" She asked and Christopher nodded without hesitation. The Receptionist sighed again and gestured to the missions board.

"In that case then it's no problem. As long as you're confident in your strength, you can go ahead." Hearing this, Christopher thanked her and turned around.

"Sir Dreamer." Christopher was a little surprised when she called him suddenly and glanced at her.

"Please be careful." She uttered, looking confused as to why she even said that, but Christopher just smiled behind his mask and nodded.

"I will, don't worry." Then with that, he went to the missions board.

He went to the area that had the red ranked missions and they were significantly less than the one with blue missions. Only around a dozen or so.

After looking over all of them, he found one that piqued his interest.

'Terror Tarantula Subjugation Mission huh?' He read and looked over the details. Apparently, there was a red ranked Terror Tarantula that had been steadily growing its territory with a colony of thousands of smaller spiders which had begun to cause trouble for the villages on the outskirts of the capital and destroy crops and the like.

'Seems doable.' Christopher nodded to himself and took the mission.

When he was out of the building, he made sure the effect of his mask was activated to a higher degree and became virtually invisible before teleporting to the coordinates.

Christopher reappeared in a sparse forest and wasted no time spreading his sixth sense.

He sensed a bunch of people, probably a village a couple miles behind him and up ahead, there were a whole bunch of lifeforms that when he ascertained what they were, Christopher felt his skin crawl.

Spiders, a lot of them.

Even at this stage, Christopher was NOT a fan of arachnids, not by a long shot. Whether in real life or the novels he read back on earth, anything Spider related made him uncomfortable.

However, at the same time.

"At least I get to be the one to turn them To ash." The thought made his discomfort subsided a bit and he proceeded forward. As he did so he summoned his companions.

"Phew, we're outside again." Silver stretched as everyone appeared behind Christopher.

Umbra flew beside him and asked eagerly.

"What are we doing this time Master?" The Dragon asked with some excitement and Christopher smiled slightly.

"We're gonna crush some bugs." Everyone's eyes lit up at this and Belladonna said playfully.

"My, putting little ol' me to work so soon?" Hearing this, Christopher rolled his eyes.

"You've been lounging around doing nothing but sucking my blood. It's about time you earn your keep." Christopher said without hesitation and a mischievous glint appeared in her eyes.

"You know." Her tone turned sultry.

"Your blood isn't the only thing I can suck~" Christopher's eyes widened and Kim's eyes went blank before her face turned bright red while Thanatos cackled.

Only the twins and Silver looked confused.

Belladonna was in the middle of laughing when Christopher suddenly appeared in front of her and flicked her forehead with enough force to generate a shockwave.

Belladonna squeaked and her hands immediately flew to her head while Christopher chastised her.

"None of that." He said sternly and Kim was looking at the two of them with a flustered expression.

"What? What did she say?" Chiara was very confused and Kim became a stuttering mess.

"S-She… S-She… S-Suck…" She kept stumbling over her words.

"Don't say anything Kim!" Christopher warned. The Twins weren't even a month old yet and Silver had no business knowing what Belladonna was talking about.

The Vampire in question pouted as she rubbed her red forehead.

"... It was just a joke." She mumbled as the group continued to move.

The more they moved, the denser the forest became, and very soon, they started to see spider webs.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"Master, by bugs you meant…" Thanatos didn't finish and Christopher nodded.

"Mhm, Spiders." Hearing this, Kim shuddered.

"I don't like spiders." She said and Belladonna giggled and went behind her before putting her hand on the Girl's cat like ears causing her to squeak in surprise.

"Come on, there's nothing to be scared of, I'll turn any spider that comes near us into a bloody mess." She said and Kim nodded slightly.

Meanwhile, Christopher was observing the spiderwebs and as an experiment, he touched one of them.

His eyes widened a little bit.

'They're even more sticky than glue. Plus they are as tough and sharp as steel threads but are still incredibly flexible. Interesting.' He thought as he pulled his finger off the Web with minimal effort.

It was at that point everyone in the group suddenly paused and their eyes narrowed.

"... There are a lot." Silver muttered as his ears twitched and everyone agreed. They didn't need to use any fancy techniques to know that they were surrounded by hundreds of spiders.

In no time, the sound of hundreds of creatures entered their ears, and very quickly, the group could see the spiders coming at them.

Christopher felt his discomfort rise. Each of the spiders was about the size of a beanbag and there were hundreds of them swarming towards the group. The sight of the black hairy legs and multiple eyes coming at them was not a pleasant sight at all.

At this moment, Belladonna decided to step forward. With a cold voice she uttered.

"Blood explosion." all at once, the spiders suddenly came to a stop, they looked at each other, seemingly confused. Then at the same time, their bodies started to bloat, like someone had stuck a hose inside of them and started to fill them with water. And then.

BAND BANG BANG BANG.

Horrible sounds of hundreds of creatures exploding simultaneously filled their ears as the blood of the spiders turned against them, becoming chaotic within their bodies and rupturing them from within.

The sight was definitely repulsive and Christopher wondered why Belladonna didn't just burn them all, but besides that, he watched with interest, because when Belladonna uttered her chant, he saw hundreds of small red runes leave her body and enter the bodies of the Spiders before they started to explode.

With his Runic Insight, he found it very interesting to watch people use skills as he could watch how runes interacted with the world and change it based on the person's desires.

After a few seconds, the popping ended and all that remained was viscous green blood and twitching insect parts everywhere.

"Ugh." Kim became nauseous at the sight and the smell and Christopher didn't blame her. So he decided to get rid of the horrid sight.

Using the runes, he first made a fire rune to cover the blood and parts of each spider, and then an air rune to create a bubble so that the flames didn't spread past a certain point.

'Burn.' He thought. Then orange flames erupted all over the place. However they were controlled to only burn the blood and parts. And everyone watched with interest as in a few short moments, the gross scene had been completely eradicated, leaving only ashes and a burnt smell which Christopher waved away with wind.

"Alright, let's keep going." He said casually and proceeded. The others looked at each other before following behind him.

However not long after they continue walking, Christopher sensed an enraged presence quite some distance in front of them and tilted his head before grinning.

'Oh? Someone's mad.'
