Chapter 51 Submit Or Die

Submit Or Die

'Ah, I failed to finish him off before he could transform.' Christopher thought regretfully.

'Huh? In that case why are you excited Master?' Scarlet's confused voice came through loud and clear causing Christopher's mouth to twitch at being exposed.

The truth was that he could have killed the dragon at any point in time, he simply didn't for three reasons.

One, he wanted to test himself and his limits to see where his current ceiling was. Second, he wanted to improve his battle experience. Sure sparring with his subordinates was good, but they weren't actual life or death battles so their effectiveness, while good, could only get him so far.

And lastly, well, it was a freaking Dragon, and he had the chance to fight one. Of course he wanted the fight to go as well as it could and reach its peak.

That's why he made no attempt to stop the Dragon from transforming.

Zephyr stared forward with a complicated expression. Being protected by a human made him feel a lot more bitter than he could have guessed.

His pride urged him to fight for himself, and sitting down while watching someone else fight for his own safety was simply pathetic in his eyes. But what else could he do?

He had indeed tried to move forward. But the younglings he'd been observing earlier knew exactly what he was going to do and didn't even say anything. They just immobilised him and the other dragons around him with chains of light and darkness, preventing them from doing anything.

This had enraged Zephyr, after all, these younglings were dragons as well, they should know just how insulting it was to stop a fellow Dragon from doing something. However the male simply said,

"There's nothing wrong with relying on someone you either trust or is stronger than you. You may not trust Master, but he is most certainly stronger than you." And with that, he fell silent.

He wanted to retort. Sure, the human was impressive. But there was no way he could be stronger than Zephyr, right?

However, the more he watched Christopher perform, the more he started to question that notion.

He resented Lenax for betraying him and his race. However no matter what, he was still a dragon, and his strength had to be recognised. After all, he was only a little bit weaker than Zephyr himself, so it wasn't strange that he was made his second in command.

Zephyr had fought the water dragon several times in his long life and knew just how devastating his former comrade was. So seeing him get pushed back so effortlessly by this human, even if it was only in his humanoid form, was very… distasteful.

On one hand, he hated that Lenax had betrayed his race and wanted him dead more than anything else. But seeing his hand get forced by a human, especially while knowing just how capable the dragon was, made Zephyr feel complicated.

He wanted Lenax dead, but not by the hands of a human. As such, he felt very conflicted. However, it didn't matter how he felt as even if he wanted to do something, he couldn't, with his mobility completely crippled at the moment by the twins.

And so he could only watch as Lenax entered his true form.

The more Aisha watched Christopher, the more she was sure her suspicion was correct.

When he mother had said that it was impossible for him to be from another world, she had a sinking feeling that such a thing, might actually be the case

Because up until now, he was simply so mysterious in the way he behaved.

To begin with, casually hanging then a sapling which had the potential to rival the world tree which was seen as a world class treasure.

She was also quite confident that he was the one who had put up all those incredible items for sale during the Auction. His subordinates were all very interesting in more ways than one, he knew the attack on the Auction was going to happen ahead of time, though he Didn't really do much to prevent it. And now he is somehow able to use Mana of impeccable quality and somehow hold back an entire group of incredibly powerful individuals, while making use of magic in ways Aisha had either never seen before, or rarely ever saw. And now going toe to toe with an adult dragon and actually suppressing it.

The more Christopher did, the more she was certain, not only was her vision about him correct, but also that he wasn't originally an inhabitant of their world. Which sounded outlandish, but with such a conclusion, a lot of things he did made way more sense.

Still, she didn't have too much time to think about it as a resounding roar reverberated throughout the island.

And with it came a terrifying aura that made many shudder.

Dragons were considered to be the perfect lifeforms for many reasons. From birth, they each had an incredible Affinity to Mana, even those with lesser Bloodline Purity.

They inherited The memories from their ancestors, so their exquisite Mana control was ingrained in their very blood. Moreover, magic aside, their physical bodies were simply on another level.

They were large, but they had speed that was uncanny for their size. Their raw strength was simply unmatched, and their defense was simply horrifying. Even the weaker parts of their bodies, namely their bellies and wings, could be penetrated by very few things in the world.

Their senses were also scarily sensitive to the point that they could smell your emotions and see vast distances. With instincts that couldn't be rivaled.

The only thing was that they weren't very fertile, making them hard to spot naturally. But despite being few, trying to wipe them out was a fool's errand.

They were proud, very proud. But they had every right to be. They were the apex lifeforms that couldn't be touched. Or even looked at.

This was a fact that everyone acknowledged, willingly or not. So why.

ROAR!

'How in the world is he strong enough to make a dragon let out such pained sounds!' Aisha stared with a stunned gaze.

Blood rained down and the massive dragon that was Lenax roared in agony as Christopher tore through his impenetrable scales like they were paper.

Most people thought that Christopher would either get utterly wiped out or struggle greatly the moment Lenax transformed. But not only was that not the case, but it seemed as though the dragon was getting beat up even worse than when it was in its human form!n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Christopher could only be described as a monster. The moment Lenax transformed, his stance changed and his entire demeanor shifted as well.

His previously phantom like movements became powerful and terrifying, each of his strikes carried incredible force, so much so that each time he clashed with Lenax, the massive dragon was actually on the losing end each time!

And even then, his speed was still horrifying. And he crashed into the titanic creature like a meteorite. Each collision spilling blood and shattering scales. Causing everyone watching to look on with awe and horror.

None of them, not even the more powerful people here could confidently say they could dispatch a dragon with such ease.

And yet here was Christopher, completely bullying this monster most deemed as an untouchable existence.

Lenax roared and his Mana surged. He opened his wide maw and a stream of ultra compressed water that could slice through space itself fired towards Christopher.

Unperturbed though, Christopher pointed the tip of Scarlet at the stream and placed one of his palms against the bottom of the hilt and descended with terrible speed.

Annihilation energy and black lightning surged as the tip of the blade collided with the stream of water, and there was a faint resistance before the sword penetrated the powerful Dragon's breath like butter.

Christopher smashed into the chest if Lenax and his blade penetrated his chest.

The dragon let out a pitiful wail as the two of them plummeted towards the earth and crashed into it like meteors, raising large amounts of dust.

Everyone watched on in stunned silence as when the dust cleared, everyone saw Christopher on one knee, both of his hands on the hilt of his blade that was plunged deeply into the chest of the dragon that now looked like a bloody mess.

Christopher straightened but Christopher left his hands on the hilt of his blade and stared at Lenax who let out a pained groan before straining to look up at him.

Despite the power of the strike, Christopher's sword couldn't quite destroy the Dragon's heart due to its size. Well, logically speaking, if he wanted to he could simply output a higher Mana quantity and shred the internals of Lenax. He simply chose not to.

"You… are… you… even human?" Lenax croaked out and Christopher stared at him before saying simply.

"Submit or die." Three words, but the air became tense.

No one paid attention to the absolute massacre that was going on above the island as Christopher's clones were utterly annihilating the forces of the Voidwalkers and the traitors.

Instead they all held their breaths as he issued his intent towards the now defeated dragon. Submit or face death at his hands.

Lenax coughed up a large amount of blood and stared at Christopher with a complicated gaze. Then, he lowered his head and said.

"I… Submit."
