The Drunken Monkey growled angrily at Lucian and quickly used its Immortal Mana to stop more of the space around it from tearing.

Alas, no matter how much Immortal Mana it injected into keeping the space around its body from shattering, it could not keep up with its pace.

Soon, one of its legs was pulled into a spatial crack, but it refused to leave the Mortal Realm and held on strong.

'If only Dragon's Gaze was effective on an Immortal Rank Magical Beast.' Lucian sighed. Despite Dragon's Gaze being a Primordial Rank Skill, which he presumed Primordial Rank to be one Rank higher than Divine Rank, it was only at Mastery Level One. For Dragon's Gaze to work on an Immortal Rank Magical Beast, he would have to increase his Mage Rank or increase the Skill's Mastery Level.

[It's useless. You might be an Immortal Rank Magical Beast, but you are still too weak to defy the World, much less the World Spirit. I suggest you should just ascend. Why even continue to stay here?] Lucian asked the Drunken Monkey via Voice Transmission. He was genuinely confused.

Which being without any family, friends, or anything tying them down, would actively choose not to ascend to a better place?

Suddenly, hearing a voice in its head, the Drunken Monkey froze in alarm, once again, causing more of the space to shatter.

[Haah, you're not the smartest tool in the shed are you?] Lucian shook his head. Even though the Drunken Monkey was newly born, being born as an Immortal Rank Magical Beast it should possess an adult's intelligence, yet it was clearly like a toddler.

*Grrr*

The Drunken Monkey opened its mouth and bared its sharp fangs at Lucian while letting out a low, menacing growl.

[Well, at least, you now understand it's me speaking to you. That is a bit of progress] Lucian said and continued, [Do you know how to communicate?]

'...' The Drunken Monkey did not respond and quickly focused on the shattering space.

Lucian frowned and said, [I didn't want to do this, but you left me with no choice.]

The longer the Drunken Monkey stayed in the Mortal Realm, the greater the chance the World Spirit would realize an existence that should not be in the Mortal Realm was here.

Thankfully, the space cracks around the Drunken Monkey kept its Immortal aura from leaking.

But that did not mean that the World Spirit would not be able to sense a disturbance in its world, if it was actively watching the world. If it was in deep hibernation, Lucian would be, for the most part, safe. However, he would rather not rely on luck.

'What a pain! All this because of a plate of food!' Lucian grumbled. He took a deep breath, knowing what was to come would be painful and taxing to his body and Soul.

"Ete-" Lucian spoke, and immediately spat out a mouthful of blood. His body began trembling from the physical and mental strain.

Meanwhile, when Lily saw Lucian spitting out a mouthful of blood, her eyes widened, and tears began streaming down her face. Her heart ached.

Suddenly, beautiful pink wings sprouted from her back. She flapped her wings, but to her astonishment, her body remained rooted to the ground. Unconsciously, her eyes drifted to her legs, where she saw thick green vines wrapped around them.

Then, she looked at her Uncle Fenwick and frowned, knowing it was definitely him, who was stopping her from helping Lucian.

"Sorry, Lily. I can't… no, I won't allow you to go there." Fenwick stared at Lily's tear-stained face and shook his head before turning to Lucian.

Meanwhile, Lucian continued chanting, "Ke-"

He spat out another mouthful of blood, and his eyes became hazy.

"Un-" He managed to choke out.

Each word he uttered transformed into ancient and powerful Runic Symbols that flew out of his mouth and hovered in the air.

The space around the Runic Symbols cracked and shattered.

Meanwhile, Lily was startled when she saw Lucian suddenly falling to his knees.

"Big Brother Lucian, what's wrong!? You don't have to stay here, you can just leave! You can build an even more beautiful restaurant somewhere else! Lily is confident that no matter where Big Brother Lucian goes, you will earn lots of Mana Stones." Lily advised, hoping Lucian would agree.
