She Belongs To The Devil

Chapter 690 Old Woman

Kenneth wiped his tears and denied Damien's claim while chuckling, "I d-don't think so… All we ate and drank were normal food."

Damien's suspicion that something was very wrong grew even stronger. He looked around while trying to control his laughter.

At a distance, he noticed a very old lady sitting down on a stone while facing them. A small cloth pouch was lying beside that lady. And he didn't know why but he felt that there was something off about her.

He recalled how he and Ariel had encountered a mysterious lady who called herself a witch on the worst day of his life. He narrowed his eyes at that old woman and thought to himself, "Don't tell me she is someone who is after Ariel. Or that same lady from that day..."

He subconsciously started walking towards her.

However, that lady suddenly picked up her pouch and got up from where she was resting. And though she was old, she began walking at a pace that beat young people.

Damien didn't notice it but all of them suddenly stopped laughing when that lady started to walk away.

Damien picked up his pace and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Hey, granny! Can I talk to you for a moment?"

But that lady kept on walking further and further away.

"What happened? Is something wrong?" Kenneth also caught up with him and asked while running side by side.

Damien clenched his fist in rage. He was angry, not at Kenneth but at that lady who was clearly disguised in an old woman's skin. He then asked Kenneth, "Do you also see that old woman?"

Kenneth followed Damien's gaze and saw the said old lady. "Yes, I see her." He then asked Damien, "Do you recognize her? Is she someone dangerous?"

"Let's find out. I think she was the one who was making us laugh uncontrollably."

That old lady was getting closer to the forest that was by the side of the town. So Damien asked Kenneth, "You keep on running after her. I will teleport in front of her and will try to stop her. And don't lose sight of her."

"Alright." Kenneth gave a nod.

And Damien immediately vanished from Kenneth's side.

However, when Damien vanished, so did that old lady.

"What the…" Kenneth was stunned to see that lady vanishing like a puff of smoke.

And soon after, Damien appeared close to where that lady was a while ago.

"Where is she?" Damien asked Kenneth.

"She disappeared," Kenneth shouted back while running towards Damien.

Damien frantically looked around and even ran around in search of that old lady. However, she was nowhere to be seen.

Kenneth finally caught up to Damien and said, "She vanished as soon as you teleported. What do you think she was?"

Damien closed his eyes and held his head with both of his hands. He looked above at the sky that had cleared up to show its blue color and then screamed in frustration.

He sighed and then mumbled as his eyes shined bright red in color, "She was definitely not from Hell. And if she disappeared, then that can only mean that she was someone from the Heaven realm. I bet that she was waiting for Ariel."

Kenneth widened his eyes and suddenly grabbed Damien's arm. "What if she went to the castle?"

Damien also looked back at Kenneth with wide eyes. And without arguing or wasting a single breath to make Kenneth leave his arm, Damien ordered, "Hold on tight."

The two of them instantly teleported to the common room of the castle.

And the moment they reached there, Damien shouted at the top of his lungs, "Ariel? Niylah?"

"Ariel, where are you?" Kenneth shouted while banging on Niylah's door.

Ariel flung the door open and asked in a terrified voice, "What happened? What's wrong?"

Both Damien and Kenneth heaved a deep sigh of relief upon seeing Ariel.

"Tell me what happened?" Ariel looked at the two of them as if she was still in shock because of their shouting, and she demanded to know why they were screaming as if something really bad had happened.

Damien cleared his throat and then answered, "Oh, nothing. You two were taking too long to come back and we were getting bored so we came to fetch you."

Ariel gave a piercing gaze to Damien and asked in a stern voice, "Tell me the truth."

Damien couldn't handle that icy glare from Ariel so he blurted everything, "We found this old woman there in the field. But she vanished right in front of our eyes. So we thought that maybe she was after you and she came here when she vanished from there. But you are fine and still here so I guess that old lady went back to where she came from."

He looked down and then added, "Sorry. I couldn't catch her."

Ariel took a deep breath in and wiped her sweaty palm on her gown. She cleared her throat nervously and then tried to reassure herself and the boys, "Don't worry about it if she is gone then. My grandma won't let anyone from Heaven come near me if they have any bad intention."

"Er…" Kenneth panicked all of a sudden and glanced at Damien. And he pointed at Ariel and said, "Her grandma won't let anyone near her… that's why that old lady appeared in front of us when she was here. What if…"

Damien widened his eyes in realization again and shouted, "Shit! Those two…"

Damien immediately teleported back to the barn fearing that that old woman might have kidnapped Zach or Ramon or both. She would be able to use those two as hostages and demand whatever it was that she really wanted from Ariel.

Thankfully, he saw Zach and Ramon surrounded by their guards. They were right where he had left them earlier.

"Are you two alright? Nothing happened here while we were gone, right?" Damien asked as he walked towards the boys.

"Nothing happened," Zach replied in a soft voice.

Ramon then glanced at Damien and questioned him, "What happened? You two suddenly ran off and then vanished."

Damien lightly massaged his forehead as it was hurting slightly. And he answered after heaving a sigh, "We had a little surprise visit from someone from Heaven. I'm glad that she made us laugh and didn't try to hurt us or kill us. Maybe she was warming up to do that."

Zach and Ramon exchanged a worried glance.

The guards who heard Damien were now nervous. If an entity from Heaven decided to attack the Princes then there was nothing they would be able to do to protect the Princes. They were glad that the Princes were safe, at least for now.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Shortly after, Ariel also teleported back along with Niylah and Kenneth.

"What do we do now?" Zach asked in a slightly shaken voice since he was the weakest one among everyone there. He didn't want to be the first target of that entity from Heaven.

Ariel reassuringly caressed Zach's cheek and told him, "Don't be scared. I am right here. And granny will also protect all of us. Just try to stay close to me at all times."

Zach nodded his head and then went to grab Ariel's arm. "Don't leave me behind. I don't want to die today."
