The Rejected Alpha's Vengeance

Chapter 444 Together, Always, Right?

[SICARIO]

The pack that was always bustling with life was quieter today, as the kids made their way to school and the suits went to work. It was almost like there was nothing worth holding on to, which was not what Hawi had intended for their people.

She hoped that with everything sorted, Sicario would be a place where life exists in all the beautiful ways. While that was almost the goal, they couldn't deny that the happenings in the past few weeks didn't exactly look like what Hawi had envisioned for them.

"We need to get her out of there," Hudhayfah said to Theo who was staring at the alpha's office hoping that their presence out there would make her change her mind and let herself step out.

However, that's just wishful thinking because she didn't step out, not even when there was a mention of Mbali.

Elodie didn't know what had happened to Mbali and she knew there was a chance that the woman was dead. However, a part of her still refused to believe that and she was still waiting for the moment that Mbali would wake up and tell her that it was a prank.

Granted, it would be a terrible prank, but Elodie would be fine as long as Mbali was alive. It was the longest of the bargains for them and there is no telling what else they could do at the moment.

"What if we bring Drew to her? She hates the guy, if we are lucky, she might just open the door to smack the shit out of the guy and we will be certain that she is okay," Theo suggested and Hudhayfah looked at the general as if this was the first time he was seeing the man.

So much had happened in the past few days especially since the ship had come through, but what else was there for them to think of when chaos seems to be following them in every moment?

"That is a good idea, but the problem is how to get Drew to this side of the pack house. He is also wallowing, blaming himself for what happened. I tried talking to him last night but he thinks that it is best for them to leave this place.

"I agreed with him, only that the problem is that no one can leave the pack without Hawi's approval. I don't want them to be hunted by the mad woman who had brought them here. So that also won't work," Hudhayfah explained, and Theo sighed.

They were running out of time and the pack was sad because their alpha was down. The debris from the ship had been cleared and everything else that went to the yard.

Sicario looked as good as new and the places that had been affected by the ship's explosion had long been fixed. So, what the fuck was holding their alpha back this time then? It wasn't easy for them to work this out but they had to think.

"What if I fight with Rio? That will bring the alpha out and Drew will also step out of his shell, what do you think of that every perfect idea?" Theo asked excitedly and Hudhayfah had to take a step back and look at the man in question.

He had long known that staying in Sicario had the ideal effect of having people go crazy, but he had not imagined that it would be this kind of crazy. Nothing that they had tried to do had worked, and he was suggesting the worst of them all.

Who was even to tell what was bound with the crazies they were about to ignite this time?

"He could reject you if you're not careful, Theo. Is that a price you're willing to pay, especially when you just find your mate?" Hudhayfah asked, his tone going from light to a serious one, the repercussions were dire for the warrior and he needed to think.

If he went ahead with this, he would lose the other half that the universe had given him, and it would take a while before they even got to meet and interact wholly again. This was torture of the highest order and Hudhayfah understood that pain a little too well.

He wouldn't wish it on anyone, not even his worst enemy, and right now Theo was not even his enemy.

"We can always get other mates,'' Theo said and the door to Elodie's office creaked open, revealing a tired alpha who was staring at her warrior like the man had lost his mind once the true alpha had left. There was just no way Theo was considering it, right?

"Oh, Elodie wanted to believe that, but Rio and Theo were cut from the same cloth of fate, so it wasn't hard to tell what they both would have done in the at position. Elodie didn't want to be the reason Theo lost his other half.

Besides, there was no telling whether the universe would be as kind to give him a new mate if he rejected Rio. There was always going to be consequences for every decision anyone made.

It was not something new and they were long aware of that. Perhaps at the end of the day, they would be able to make the right choice but with their mates, really?

"Don't ever think like that, ever," Elodie said as she looked at her warrior. She knew that there were always going to be risks in the pack, but losing themselves in the process was not the way to go about this.

"Alpha, you're out. Looks like I don't have to use that plan after all. How are you? Are you feeling any better? Do we go check out Warrior Mbali's chambers to see her state? Is there anything you need us to do?" Theo asked excitedly.

He didn't even look the least bit bothered by the position that if Elodie hadn't come out, they would be talking about a different thing altogether, but then what else could they do when everyone was feeling down?Nôv(el)B\\jnn

There had been no official statement on the chaos that had happened and Elodie was yet to confirm or deny whether or not Mbali was dead. It was a decision she hadn't wanted to be the one to make, but then life wasn't as nice to them as usual. Continue your journey on empire

It was like they always had bigger prices to pay and regardless of what they did, there was always foreign to be someone else at risk.

"The warrior is not dead. No need to worry about it. We have to talk to the sailors about the way forward. If they had been brought to this side of the realm, then there has to be a reason for what.

"If Hawi was the one who really commandeered their ship and ordered Malika to bring it to this side, then there also has to be a reason for that. We just need to work this out and we will need all the sailors to make that happen.

"We need to be on the same page before shit happens. We are not in the position to take in any anomalies in the pack, so we need to—" Elodie said right as there was a loud strike of lightning that roared and broke the barrier for a moment, before a bed rolled into the pack along with sheets and lots of food.

"Holy shit," was all Theo could say when he looked at the mess that had dropped so close to the hallways they were standing at.
